Not just the best Gym: a Community.
You will feel welcome from the first time you walk in.
Crossfit could be intimidating, but the coaches are the best on making sure you fully understand the movements and will help finding the best scaling options as you learn and improve. And of course you will absolutely enjoy the ride.
This is your sign to give crossfit a chance.

My wife and I dropped in while we were in town from Houston, TX visiting family. We did the noon class and we loved it. It was very similar to what we are used to at our home gym (Bellhouse Crossfit) in TX. Great coaching as well and the people were very welcoming. Everything you love to see when you drop in at a new gym. Highly recommend to anyone looking to drop in or join a new gym!

Awesome Crossfit gym!! I dropped in for a few days during a work trip and the gym was very approachable. Each coach was very knowledgeable of the movements for the class and could provide suggestions for scaled option that best fit my skill level. The gym was not cliquey and the regular gym members were welcoming to drop ins. All the equipment I used during my short time there seemed to be well maintained. If I am every back in the area, I will drop in again. Would recommend this Crossfit gym to anyone of any skill level, even if you have never participated in a Crossfit work out before. Go Check them out.

As a beginner, I was worried about feeling overwhelmed. It’s easy to do what you’ve always done, so making a change and sticking to it is hard. When you have people in your corner rooting for you, it’s easier. Thats what you’ll find here.

Any hesitation you have about joining a CrossFit gym will soon dissipate when you join Muskegon CrossFit. If you are looking for a gym that meets you where you're at, this is the place for you- and no, i'm not kidding. I had zero confidence that I would be able to survive a single CrossFit class when I was contemplating joining this gym. I found I made myself so much more intimidated by the process than I needed to be. You'll quickly notice an array of people, all at different skill levels, just trying their best to become healthy in a world that is stacked against us. Every workout has a variety of scaling options, and the coaches will do their best to find an alternative that works for you.
Is it hard? hell yeah it's hard. But truly in the best way. I have never left a workout at MCF where I was upset that I went, but rather in disbelief that I could accomplish something that intense. You will constantly be amazed with yourself and what you're capable of in a supportive environment such as MCF.

The greatest benefit to this gym is not only the superior workout program they follow, but the people who show up everyday to give it their all. This gym has a substantial community of people, who make an effort to create activities happening beyond the gym to where you can form true friendships (pickleball, group dinners, chili cook-offs, pot lucks, etc). That, to me, makes it worth the membership in so many ways!
If you're looking to try something new, in an environment where you can push yourself and make friends along the way, then MCF is for you.

My family and I love this place, amazing work outs for all levels, staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, family environment where everyone encourages each other and judgment free not like other gyms. Lots of options for work out times and staff walk you through each exercise making sure it's safe. Lots of options to measure your progress and stay on track. Lots of events too that are fun, family friendly and definetly motivate you to keep going and stay healthy. Both my boys (13 & 16) absolutely love the coaches and always look forward to the next class. Highly recommend it!!

I was a drop in for the last two weeks from Austin, TX visiting family during the holidays in Muskegon. I wanted to make sure I kept the vacation/holiday weight off and my weekly CrossFit routine in place. When I mentioned this to my Austin coach, she immediately reached out to the owners of Muskegon CrossFit, Russell and Jordan, and coordinated a drop in for me. I could not be more pleased with the gym. I was warmly welcomed by the local CrossFitters. And, I received continuous technique support and encouragement from the coaches as if I was one of their gym regulars.

If you are thinking about trying CrossFit in the Muskegon area, I highly recommend giving this gym a try. Russell and Jordan will take the time to coach each athlete thoroughly in an effort to obtain the perfect technique in conjunction with positive feedback and enthusiasm to hitting your athletic goals.

I will be sure to drop in when I return to Muskegon in the summer. Thanks for everything, Muskegon CrossFit!

I can’t speak enough about the support and kind encouragement I got from the coaches and people. They are safe and smart about what they do and you will learn a lot. It’s hard but probably not how you think (yes it’s totally doable by anyone no matter what shape your in) they will help you workout to your abilities and you will end up pushing yourself. No you don’t have to be in shape to do this just have the right attitude and check your ego at the door.

CAME IN WITH ZERO, LEFT WITH 10 - See second and new additional paragraph...

I had the lucky chance to work out with Russ and the MCF team this December while back for the Christmas holiday from Japan. Even as a drop-in I was made to feel immediately welcome, and was very impressed by both the level of professionalism and also cheerful camaraderie among all staff and members. It was a high point of my trip. Will definitely train there again on my next visit home to Muskegon.

I am adding a new addtion here now 6 years on...I have dropped in from time to time over those years, and did so again 3x last week. After 6 years of CrossFit, (I admit, very inconsistently) I could not do more than 1 kipping pull-up in a row. This was true this past Friday also, though I had become pretty darn strong having been consistent at my CF BOx in Japan the past 5 months. Long storty short, thanks to some very direct and easy to understand coaching tips from Coach Aaron, I was able to start to connect them, and did 10 kipping pull-ups in a row at the very end of a massively tough workout. If fresh, I could certainly have done more. I am over the moon about it. Top level instruction: period. Thank you MCF Nation!!! My first ever successful bar muscle up is right around the corner now...

I was looking to push myself to the next level and joined a 7 week Challenge here to "try it out." I can't say enough good things about Muskegon CrossFit -- the members are amazing, so helpful to a "newbie", I've never felt like I didn't belong. I was intimidated by the unknown but the coaches are all focused on making sure you have proper form before adding additional weight, they recommend modifications (that are still TOUGH) and explain why you do things a certain way. I've been doing Crossfit now for a little over two years and I've gotten the chance to work out at many boxes. Muskegon Crossfit is nearby some of my close relatives, and I'm happy to say this gym and their community quickly became a family to me. All of the coaches are well-educated on fitness, performance and weightlifting; not to mention they are super encouraging and create a positive environment for all athletes! The gym facility itself is well-kept and maintained and has all the equipment you need for quality training. I still consider Muskegon Crossfit a home away from home for me, and I drop-in whenever I am in town. I highly recommend choosing MCF for anyone in the area who is looking to get a great workout in, meet some long-lasting friends and become a part of an awesome community. I can't say enough good things about this place. Walking into a normal gym for me is overwhelming and I dont feel like here. The coaching staff is awesome, I dont have to think about or plan my workout because they do it for us. I don't have worry about if Im doing a movement wrong because they are there to support and critique you. If you can't do what's prescribed they are always there to scale it back to the movements you are capable of.

Its always a group setting, your not left on your own. Nobody is there to compete against each other everyone here supports each other in and out of class. Its a community Im glad to be a part of.

I'm a noob to crossfit and decided to try it based on a friends suggestion. After about 4 months I've noticed significant gains in core strength and increased mobility overall. I think alot of people are afraid that they have to be "in shape" already to join but there are people at all different stages of fitness. Members are there to support each other and to reach their own personal goals. I would recommend it for people of all fitness levels.

I had been working out alone in my basement doing Insanity and P90x videos for a couple of years. I also trained for 5k, 10k and 15k races by myself. I had a sense of missing something, community. And that is exactly what Muskegon Crossfit offers.

I remember showing up for my first On Ramp introductory course at MCF. I observed the last 20 minutes of the 7 p.m. class. The clanging of weights and the pace at which these athletes were working out at made me think of slowly slipping out and jumping in my car and going home. I'm glad I didn't. What I found out was Crossfit can be modified for anybody, regardless of fitness level, age, body shape, etc... The coaches here are amazing. The community is what keeps you coming.

The programming is constantly changing and progressing. It keeps it fresh and interesting. I like that the key to Crossfit is repeating workouts to allow you to measure, observe and repeat. This shows you how you've progressed over time.

I remember the first time a fellow athlete commented on how much my body had changed since I started. I didn't even know how to respond. I started to realize I was adding muscle in areas I've never had. I started to have more confidence in myself, in what my body and mind was capable of.

You may be turned off by articles online, or what others post about on social media about Crossfit. But I can tell you the coaches and athletes at Muskegon Crossfit are the best. Do like I did, commit to 3 months and evaluate from there. I've been here for 2 1/2 years after taking that initial leap of faith and I'm glad I did.

What an amazing place. When you join Muskegon CrossFit you are immediately taken in by the most supportive community imaginable. Everyone there, coaches and athletes, have your back and come prepared to endure the intense curriculum that is CrossFit. The workouts are exciting and constantly changing. There is no way to get into any sort of boring rhythm while attending here. Each workout of the day"WOD" includes many different movements and I have yet to see one that can't be scaled to any level of athlete, beginner to advanced. The coaches are knowledgeable, motivational, and friendly. Not one coach has the same teaching method as the others, so each class has a different flavor to it. I have never had such a good time getting fit and bettering myself. Best gym I have ever been a part of, hands down! You're not just a member here, you're family.

Being a runner I was told CROSSFIT training could help me improve. I joined 2-1/2 years ago while training for a marathon and I must say it is the first time I've been able to stay injury free. The coach's are awesome! It's like having a personal trainer at every workout. By joining and stepping out of my comfort zone MCF has given me a new confidence I never thought possible. I cannot say enough good things about Muskegon CrossFit! The coaches are awesome – they provide the programming, instruction, and feedback so that all you have to do is show up and you know you’re going to get a great workout. The workouts are challenging and intense, but always able to be scaled so that all skill levels can complete them and get a good workout from it. But what I’ve been most surprised and amazed by is the community that MCF provides. You’ll become fast friends with your fellow athletes at MCF. You’ll push one another to work harder, get one more rep, and give your all. Being a member at MCF is like being on a team and when one athlete masters a new skill, sets a new PR (personal record), or grinds out a tough workout, everyone is cheering for them. My only regret with Muskegon CrossFit is that I didn’t hear about them and join the box sooner!

I've been with Muskegon Crossfit for about 2.5 years now. Since day one I always felt that the coaching staff, equipment, classes and members were top notch. It's a strong community that attracts and retains members because we are friendly, welcoming, and encouraging. I have accomplished feats of the mind and body here that I never experienced in all of my years of working out and playing sports. When you walk through our doors (and I say ours because it really is OUR community) you will be welcomed by coaches and members, you will learn proper form and technique and you will pushed further than you felt possible. You will walk out every day feeling accomplished and successful. You will make friends who will push you, pick you up when you're down, motivate you and let you know when you need to add a little more weight to the bar :) I love it here and I wouldn't trade it for any place else. Stop in and see for yourself!
