Played at Myth Golf & Banquets over the weekend.
Overall, I enjoyed the round — love the layout, and you can’t beat those hot dogs at the turn! The greens were rolling nicely and you can tell they’ve been putting in work on the irrigation system.
That said, I was a little disappointed with the front nine — particularly the tee boxes on 3, 5, and 7, which were a bit chewed up. I did have a chance to talk with the owner while I was there. He mentioned they recently let their superintendent go due to performance issues and are actively searching for a new one for the 2026 season.
The good news is, the current staff has clear new direction. They’re wrapping up irrigation improvements, leveling and finishing tee box renovations for next year, and have installed a new well, so water supply shouldn’t be an issue. He assured me the course will be in great shape going forward.
All in all — still a great experience, and I’m excited to go back and play!

Took 7 hours to play 18! Course was in bad shape!
Manager promised a compensation round (18) each, for the 3 people in my party, after I called and complained.
Just tried to book the compensation rounds and was told the old manager is no longer there. The new manager will not honor the promise. She said the best she could do is 9 holes, and we can pay for the other nine!
I use to like this course, but no longer. Huge wait times on each hole, poor conditions, no regard for their customers.

This use to be my favorite course....but not any more!
Played last month and it was so crowded it took 4 hours to golf the first 9!!! We would pull up to holes and there would be 6 sets of foursomes waiting to tee off!!!! It was awful!!
When we finished, we asked for compensation. The person working was not authorized to approve a compensation, but had the manager call us the following day. The manager was appologic, and stated he had so many complaints, that he would comp us a round each. He said that here would be a note stating such under the register. We tried to book a round for tomorrow, and there is no note for a comped round. The manager is no longer with the organization. The new manager will not honor the previous agreement! Sadly, this is no longer a place I can recommend.

It took over 3 hours for us to play nine holes. Called the proshop from the 6th hole, where we had 5 groups at the tee. T Boxes were awful and no one fixes their divots on the green, so they are awful as well. If you even like to play golf, this is not a course to consider. If I could rate it 0 stars, I would.
PS - when we contacted the course to express our frustration, the Pro offered us 18 hole passes on our next visit. When I called to arrange a T Time, I was told the Pro was no longer there and they would only consider a 9 hole pass. Won't ever play this course again.

Absolutely 💯 a waste of money!! First off the tee boxes barely had grass and hard as a boulder( might want to bring a drill to prevent drill hole for your tee) . Fairways and greens are no better. Plus definite OSHA violations for exposed wires right next to tee boxes. Obviously the superintendent taking care of this place is definitely not doing his job or there is nobody managing this property. Just beware of a waste of money.

Unique golf course as others have stated but holy moly - WHAT A MESS! Tee boxes are destroyed. Fairways not much better. The real issue was tee times within 5 minutes. I was in a two some and consistently had to wait 10+ minutes to tee off at each hole due to the crappy wait. It totally ruins your momentum. We paid for 18 but left after 9 holes that took us 3 hours to complete. The owners should be absolutely embarrassed. First time and last time I will ever golf here.

Extremely disappointing experience. The tee boxes were in very poor condition, management was unhelpful and disorganized, and the pace of play was unacceptable—we waited over 3 hours just to get through 8 holes. I’ve played many courses, and this was one of the worst-run operations I’ve seen. Definitely not worth the time or money.

I played 18 holes at the Myth on Saturday, 9/20 and it was arguably the worst course conditions I’ve played all year in Northeast metro Detroit. The tee boxes, greens, and fairways were dejected and given the course is pretty tight/difficult to begin with, it made for a pretty unenjoyable round.
Electrical wires exposed in the middle of the fairway, nails and screws sticking out from the wooden cart paths everywhere, dirt tee boxes… it was all around really bad. In hindsight $60 per man felt like a scam.
Side note: the attitude I received from the guy in the clubhouse for not supplying 2 separate DRIVERS LICENSE NUMBERS to rent our golf carts was not appreciated.
I would find somewhere else to play.

Mixed feelings about this course… If you’re in a hurry, this isn’t for you. 18 holes took 5 hours. The course is packed! The complaints about the tee boxes are warranted. The first two holes have nice tee boxes but it goes downhill from there. You won’t find a flat spot or much grass on the others. The course is tight with LOTS of trees and water to navigate. If you’re willing to walk into the woods you won’t be disappointed. There are plenty of replacement balls to be found. My golf partner literally found at least 75 balls without slowing pace of play as we were waiting on nearly every shot. The fairways were in pretty good shape and the greens were fast with very challenging pin placements. $59 may be a tad high but I’d play it again if I was in the area.

It’s such a cool piece of property with tons of potential, but I have nothing good to say about this course except that they do have a freshly paved parking lot, which probably cost them a ton. It has a par 3 course which is great for new golfers to learn on. But new players have no business being on the full 18. It is unkind.

The worst tee boxes I’ve ever seen! Like cement. Had very hard time even getting tee into the ground. Totally unacceptable for what is supposed to be an upscale course.
Greens were also not good. Many dead patches! I don’t think I would play this course even if it was free!

59$ worst course I’ve played in years pace of play 1.1/10 awful took 35 minutes to tee off each hole. The tee boxes looked like a war zone teeing off in bunkers. Will not be coming back ever. The ground was hard and good luck taking a real divot bc ur clubs will be bouncing. Honestly the worst course in Michigan.

This is an absolute joke of a golf course, tree roots protruding on the greens, pace of play is horrible because people slice their ball a mile into your fairway and when they come looking for their ball, they don't pick up and just continue to play FROM YOUR FAIRWAY, officers don't enforce rules or safety, staff will yell at you to skip holes because there are weddings (even though we paid for a full 18) and god forbid there is an accident, management won't help with holding the offending party accountable and will gaslight you into leaving as soon as possible so the other patrons don't see the mess they have created, all to save face and what little customer base they have left. please for the love of God, do not go here and just go to better courses.

Good course with some areas that need attention.
In general, I like this course because it is reasonably priced (on weekdays - not so much on the weekend) and it has some challenging holes but others are well within the skill range of us amateurs. The greens were generally in decent shape for a course that (obvious from the condition of the tee boxes and greens) gets a LOT of play from people that don't fix their fairway divots or ball marks on the green. Fairways were, overall, in decent shape. The Tee Boxes though!!!!! Dear lord. Clearly no water being applied to those and they are virtually destroyed. Some were actually 100% dirt, which, as I discovered, was actually better than the ones that were 90% divots with a patch of grass here and there because there is no place to put your feet where you have solid contact with the ground. Oh, and, take a hammer to get your tee INTO the ground on the tee boxes. They are hard as a brick.
The last thing that I would mention is more of a "structural" issue vs. a lack of maintenance. Some of the greens have such a slope that you literally cannot stop your ball from rolling back off the green unless you're a foot from the hole. Hole 5 on the front nine is ridiculous. At least where the pin was yesterday.

I was hesitant to play this course based on a lot of less than favorable reviews, but I am glad I did. I have played courses all over Michigan and other states and actually belong to a private course just to bring in some context. 1. Your round will be 4.5 - 5 hours if you go on the weekend. It is a public course with all types of skill levels so that is not necessarily the fault of the course. Plus it is very reasonably priced so you must take some good with some not so good. 2. Some tee boxes and some greens could use a little TLC. However, the fairways were in really good shape, grass is green and again, most tee boxes are in good shape. I liked the layout and it is a challenging course that you must plot out some of your shots vs. just getting to tee box and swing away. I hope you find this review helpful and accurate should you decide to see for yourself.

Had a great round here last weekend! This was a very challenging course with some tight holes that required technical shots. Out of bounds here is not forgiving haha. Really liked how you are driving through the woods to get to the next hole. Pace of play of was good, cart girl was attentive, and they had burgers, dogs, and sausages right at the turn. Had a good time here! Par 3 course looks fun aswell.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! I have teed off at roughly every golf course in southeastern Michigan and I have to say the crew here was BY FAR the worst I have ever encountered. I booked my tee time through golf now (as most people do) and my wife and I traveled quite a far distance to play at this course. As I arrived I was told by the front desk “don’t tell me you have a rider” which of course I said my wife was planning to ride with me. He stated to me that it is going to cost me $65 ($10 more than the my “hot deal” round on golf now for my wife to ride along with me on top of the $55 for my round as that was “the rule of thumb with golf”. I told him we played a round at a country club the weekend before and it cost $10 which he responded “good for them”. I will never return to this course and recommend all of you never to attend this place. Not only were they terrible to their guests, the course was in HORRIBLE CONDITIONS!

Previous recent reviews are 100% INCORRECT. Staff was accommodating and friendly, course conditions were great although the Tee Boxes on the back 9 are a little uneven.
Challenging greens and guarded fairways lend for a challenging but very memorable round.
At the turn we were able to get drinks and great food (burgers, hot dogs, or bratwurst were readily available).
Wait times were well within local expectations and over all was a wonderful experience.
We will be returning later this year to play again.

5/2/25 - 3:08pm tee time Single with cart for 18 holes
Got an email @ 10am stating my tee time moved to 3pm, not asking just TELLING me of the change.
Arrived and jokingly asked in the clubhouse if the change was because they wanted to get out of work early and without batting an eye the guy behind the counter sad "Yes!" OK, I can understand that but not quite the warm welcome I expected after I told him it was my 1st time playing there.
Told to take Cart #1 when I went out it was gone, the manager took it. When I went back in to ask I got attitude back and was told "well it was taken just take the next one in line." Odd since they take your Driver's License number for the cart.
Met the Starter on Hole 1 and after watching a young couple hit (she duffed it 5 feet) the Starter told me to ask them to play through. They saw us talking and said Go Ahead!
Front 9 you spent a LOT of time going through the marshy woods on elevated walkways that are in desperate need of some upgrades. The tee boxes for an early May tee time looked in such disrepair it looked like late July there already. Had some 'crazy' guy come across from one hole and jumped in front of me and played from the Red tees. Throwing clubs around and running on the greens like a 3 year old then tore off to some other random hole. I asked the 2some in front of me later when I caught up to them about him and they said they saw him too and watched the same antics. Mentioned him to the ranger who said 'thanks' but didn't move from his spot on Hole 8.
Pace of play wasn't really enforced as even as a single I was watching multiple 2somes stack up behind each other.
Played the back 9 with another single (his partner only played 9). Signage very poor when multiple paths cross. Had to drive around looking for a few tee boxes. Course very soggy (lots of rain that week so somewhat understandable but very wet and not great drainage). Hole 11 Par 3 green and hole placement was literally impossible. 4some let us play through and all 6 of us gave up on the hole. Not 1" of flat spot around the hole while the cup was buried 2 inches deep on one side due to the angle of the green. I would have PAID to see someone get less than a 3-putt on that hole. When we gave up we were all 5+ putts in, on a Par 3!!!
Crazy guy in pink returned to chase us for a few holes and play up and almost over us a few times. No ranger in site. Saw the pink guy driving through the parking lot to play some other random hole looking like it was 'bring your kid to work day' and just turned him loose on the course. Sad.
Overall the course looks like it has potential to be nice. Tight fairways on the front 9. The upkeep seems to be low priority though. Tee boxes were terrible throughout the entire course. Staff seemed uninterested. Pace of play was not enforced.
I play a new to me course every 2 weeks looking to add some new ones to a regular rotation. This won't be one of them.

This is a golf review, and in no way reflects upon their wedding business at the same venue:
The course itself was in shambles. Played the front 9. Tee boxes were all blown out and uneven, and they clearly did not do any end-of-season maintenance last year. The greens were ridiculously slow, and speeds are inconsistent from hole to hole. Lots of bare spots on fairways or just off of fairways which I found both unacceptable and annoyingly penalizing.
More concerning was the employee in the pro shop — Completely unprofessional. The guy behind the desk muttered at least 7 F-bombs under his breath because his booking system was not working. I understand the frustration but seriously, how can you not keep your cool in front of customers. He also told me I booked the wrong course (Par 3) when I called in asking for an evening tee time to play 9 holes... in what world does that mean I want to play the Par 3 course? Then instead of brushing it under the rug (with a wide open tee sheet) he told me I was wrong! And to pay $36 for 9 on a week night in April!
I can confidently say that I’ll never play this course again. Much better options are available in all directions that are affordable.

You need to play this course! I did yesterday, and it was one of the best days of golf I've had in years! First, the employees were really friendly from the check-in to the course workers who were happy to wave, smile, and help out if needed.
The greens and fairways were in great shape for May, and the natural woodland setting was blooming and full of life. The wooden cart bridges weaving through the course puts you into an environment that is awe inspiring.
This course is challenging with an abundance of ponds, narrow fairways, and undulating greens, and so if you golf for low scores, this course may not suit you. But if you love to go beyond your courses with wide fairways to hit, flat greens to put, and minimal hazards, you should play Myth ASAP. If you also ski, this course is a black diamond to challenge beyond the typical beginner and intermediate's. Note: beginner and low intermediate golfers will love the par-3 course at the Myth, one of the best in Southeast, MI.
The clubhouse is rustic with a great covered deck overlooking the island hole. The hot dogs are huge, and the buns are steamed before wrapping the dog in foil. Cold beer, great views, and a day emersed in nature awaits you. and I likely might be there playing again when you visit The Myth.

Great course but unfortunately very slow pace of play and terrible management. Spent 5 hours 40 minutes playing 18 holes. Each tee box we waited 15 minutes to hit. After 9, when entering to get a hot dog, the manager said we couldn’t get anything and had to go play because of ‘pace of play’ despite a line of 6 people at hole 10. Even the workers were uncomfortable with how he was acting. Hope they get it together because it is a nice course. Also the hot dog was terrible and undercooked still.

Our guests absolutely loved the atmosphere and we heard wonderful feedback about how beautiful everything was! My husband and I didn't want a "typical looking banquet hall" for our wedding so we really loved the wood aspects and the beautiful lights! Extremely disappointed with this golf course. We booked through their website this week for a tee time this weekend. I woke up very sick this morning, clearly unable to golf tomorrow. My husband called to cancel this morning, assuming we would receive some form of refund and they refused to refund any money for the 4 person tee time we paid for. The employee told my husband that they would only refund us had we came into the clubhouse to pay. The point of the websites golf courses utilize are to book ahead, especially for busier days.

The golf course is in very rough shape. The holes are not cut very well with ragged edges, no ball marks are repaired, tee boxes are dry and basically dirt and don't appear to have irrigation heads. Went out by myself, as a single at 11:52am. Nobody in sight. As I get to the 3rd hole THE RANGER comes up and explains that there's three groups of three ahead, that they are older and slower and that NOBODY CAN PASS THEM (and it was clear as day in front of their groups). Was waiting every hole after that. The groups of 3 were playing like groups of 5.
I left on hole 12.
Unbelievable that this was allowed especially when groups of 3 should essentially be playing faster.

Terrible course, terrible management, terrible design. Everything about this course will make you hate the club and golf. Most likely run by an old UAW retiree with no interest in improving an unimprovable course. Stuck in the good ol’ days. Way overpriced. Maintenance working on the course in the middle of the day. Terrible experience and pin placements illegal. Greenskeep should find a different hobby. That’s all he is is a hobbyist. Avoid at all costs and don’t give them your business. They deserve to be bought out or shutdown. To the owner, invest in a different business to save you the humiliation of going out of business. This course only appeals to the local po-dunk inbreds that speckle the perimeter of the course.

Kids played on a TGA league at the Little Myth, overall TGA is awesome and the league was well managed by the TGA. All was generally really good until the last week of the league on the last hole of play. The kids were on the green getting ready to putt and a wedding party marches down the cart path telling the kids that the hole was "closed" for pictures. The wedding party was rude, condescending, and made several disparaging remarks to children ranging from 8-10 years old. When parents stepped in to tell the wedding party that we need just 5 more minutes to finish the round, we were told it is a special day for the bride and we shouldn't be ruining her day. Needless to say we took our time and finished our round. There were two groups in the league that were behind us and management told the 2 groups they had to wait. After 20 - 30 minutes of waiting, management finally came back around and forced the wedding party to move to other holes on the course since the rest of the course had been closed for an indeterminate amount of time. Why management would allow a wedding party to start their pictures on the 9th hole full well knowing there are several groups of golfers on holes 7-9 finishing their rounds when the other 6 holes were available is inconceivable. Parents spent a lot of time and money for this league and to have it end this way for our children was heartbreaking and completely unnecessary. Overall TGA has always been great and we should continue to support their mission of teaching children the game of golf, this review is a total call out of the poor decision making of the course management. This was a lose lose situation for both the children and the wedding party all because of poor decision making and planning.

It was a terrible experience that I have ever had, among my whole golf life. My cart was not good from the beginning, but I had no time to change my cart because I had another schedule after playing golf. So I proceeded, but it kept making me nervous while I'm driving. So I asked the manager to change my cart to another one, but somehow she refused to that, but keep holding me at the proshop as if I have done something wrong. I couldn't finish my play because of her and screwed up the whole day. I never recommend this place for other people. Even I paid for 50 bucks for the repair of golf cart that I've never done something wrong with it. Who will pay for my precious time, which was stolen one and half hour at the proshop???

Played there last Friday. When I called to make tee time, they said it was busy, but should be ok. Front nine went well. Teed off on 10 and got to the fairway and saw 7-8 people on 10 green, so I jumped ahead to 11 to get in front of them. As I was ready to tee off on 11, the group of 7-8 rolled up and asked if I was on the wrong hole. I said no, I was just trying to get ahead of their group. One guy in their group then asked if I wanted to fight. He was serious. To avoid any issues, I left and went to see if I could play the front 9 again. I mentioned what had happened to a couple of employees and their response was that they are busy on Friday's. Nothing about them playing as an eightsome or that the guy wanted to fight. I will not be going back there.

I recently had my youngest daughter’s Bridal Shower and Wedding at the Myth Golf & Banquet
facility in Oakland Twp. We paid for, and attended, a food tasting (food tasting is offered after
placing your deposit, not before) so we would know what to expect and choose the menu
accordingly. After the tasting I did sit down with the manager and discussed my hesitation and
concern with some of the food options. She assured me they had a new Chef and I would be
extremely happy with the final menu. We had approximately 50 people for the bridal shower
and it went well. However, when it came to the wedding it was totally a different outcome.
We met with the Manager and the new chef prior to our final selections and both assured me, I
would be very happy with the menu we picked. The bride was very clear she didn’t care
whether we had a red sauce or a white sauce for the pasta, she just wanted to make sure she
had her parmesan redskin potatoes. We all smiled and the manager said “you’ll have your
parmesan red skin potatoes”. As I arrived for the wedding I asked if everything was good and
according to plan. The manager said “no issues, good to go.” However, things were not as we
ordered right off the bat. We ordered the fruit tower/display (with strawberries) and when it
was brought out it was missing the strawberries. So, I asked one of the staff members to find
out why they weren’t on the display. She never came back. My daughter was very specific and
one of the big reasons she picked this venue was that she wanted their parmesan red skin
potatoes. Upon getting my dinner I was shocked and mortified when the parmesan red skin
potatoes were replaced, without our consent, with what looked to be small, square,
undercooked (hard) breakfast potatoes (they were horrible-no better way to describe them). I
immediately found the manager and asked where the potatoes were that we ordered and her
response was “we cut them up”. Just after sitting down, my daughter (Bride), asked why
people who required dietary restriction plates i.e., dairy free, gluten free, nut free, vegetarian
etc. were in line to get their food, which was supposed to be plated and brought out directly to
them. Unfortunately, this is what the bride is worrying herself with instead of eating her dinner
and enjoying her event. I left my dinner to find the manager and questioned why the plates for
the special dietary needs of the guests were not brought out. They hesitated and then said they would get them all out. A few never received their plates, while a few others received plates that did not adhere to their dietary restrictions.
Our wedding was under contract from 5:30 pm to 11:00 pm. Cleanup was from 11pm until midnight. The staff started removing our decorations, centerpieces, gifts, and personalized items early and had it condensed to one area by 10:40 pm. Guests were still on the dance floor and when they came back to the tables, their gifts were picked up and moved. This was totally unprofessional and not per our agreement. The last shuttle of the evening was booked for midnight, so the bridal party and a few guests could help us break down and load our items. Because the staff broke down our wedding way early, these guests had to sit around for about 45 minutes waiting for the shuttle to pick them up to go back to the hotel. In my opinion, the venue is pretty and the staff was pleasant. However, the food was mediocre at best and I would not recommend this place. This is a once in a lifetime event, and for me, the stress and embarrassment was certainly not worth it.

My grandson ( Kyle Logan ) wedding was held at your place, this past Saturday.
It was lovely. Well organized, food was outstanding, as the servers, ect were excellent !
One thing , I am gluten free and did not get a gluten free meal. ( which I know my grandson paid for. )
As there was suppose to 2 other meals ( nut free and another one ) which they did not get either
I do hope you give the kids a bit of a refund on that count
Your place is excellent & I would highly recommend The Myth
Thank You

If I could give this course a zero on Google I would. In my life I have never ever been kicked off hole 18 and not let finish my round. Called to let the front desk know I would be only ten minutes late for a 2 man 18 hole tee time and the snotty girl who answered the front desk phone told me that we could only play 9 holes if we were at all late for tee time. Would not even let us start a hole or two into the course just flat out said you lose half of what you paid for. When we got to the course and spoke with the same girl she rolled her eyes and cut us off talking the entire time with an additive. Terrible experience with the staff

Just got done playing here. Loved it! Had so much fun. The course was great, some of the tee boxes need a little love but other than that it was awesome. Super challenging greens. Fairways and green were gorgeous. Love the layout of this course too. I’ll be back weekly now.

Top tier rip off of a course. They charge 50 dollars for 18 on a course that’s worth 40 at most. Tee boxes are all but level and every green is covered in divots. Tee times are 6 minutes apart so be prepared for a 6-7 hour round of golf. The staff was very unfriendly as well. Would be a one star review if not for the friendly ranger on staff. Would not recommend at all.

Course is crazy hard. If you miss the little fairways that there are, you will lose your ball. I break 90 maybe twice a year, not often. It’s in the middle of a swampy forest. Mosquitoes are horrible. Wooden tracks are horrible. Fairways and greens in pretty good condition considering the grounds crew doesn’t have much ground to cover. Greens are ridiculously hard for no reason. I shot horrible, so take review with grain of salt, however, everything stated is true. Bring extra balls. And some booze to take the edge off.

Course was so backed up 3 hours to get through 9 holes, asked for a refund or rain check for the other 9 and. they guy working in the club house was rude and condescending. He said it’s a nice course lots of people like to play it that’s why it’s backed up and then he said it’s not raining why would we give a rain check. Course was in terrible shape. I will not be back again and don’t recommend to anyone who does not want to wait for two groups in front of you at every tee box. By the way this was a weekday 2:00 tee time, not even a weekend. Recommendation for the myth space your tee times out further.

Was my favorite course until I was told by the ranger that I was holding people up. This was on hole 15 after I just waited ten minutes for the people in front of me to hit. So, I stopped looking for my ball in order to just wait behind this foursome again. I was playing as a single and was probably the fastest golfer out on the course. I would have lowered it to a one star review but the ranger was somewhat respectful despite what was said to me. Probably won't come here as much because of this experience. It's like, if someone is holding everyone up, It's probably not the SINGLE golfer. Jeez

Don't bother wasting your entire day here. 1 star is a star too many. Every time I go it's the slowest pace. It feels like tee times are doubled up and you end up waiting 2-3 carts per hole. They wouldn't even refund us after spending 3 long, slow hrs on the front 9 for a group of 3 players. At the turn, we watched 6 people tee off that weren't ahead of us the entire 3 hrs. All we got were vouchers to come back again, which is never going to happen again. They're just either not capable of running a proper golf course or just greedy.

Such a challenging course. It will eat all of your balls, so make sure to bring extra. The grounds could use a little work, but they're not bad. The wooden cart paths have certainly seen better days. Clubhouse is absolutely beautiful... perfect spot for whatever event you might have, but it's on the pricey side. Playing a round is also probably more expensive than it should be, but you'll have fun here (as long as you don't care too much about your score).
Update: seems as if they have decided to rebuild the wooden cart paths. It's about time. Looks nice.

Management lets the course down. Overstuffed with people, numerous groups of 8. Asked the ranger to speed them up and he said, "I wish I could!", it's your job to speed slow play up. I hate to leave such a negative review, but want to save others time and let you know what to expect in advance.
Jaki S. scheduled a time for my family to meet her to check out venue for baby shower and never showed up. (She recommended this date and time too, sadly) She is very unprofessional and horrible at communicating. This makes the Golf Course company look HORRIBLE! She failed to answer multiple phone calls or emails and her voicemail is consistently full. No way for us to get past the locked gates.
I emailed Jaki the following day to give her the benefit of the doubt and still no reply.
Also, a friend of mine recently had a shower here and warned me about the horrible communication, but I took it as a grain of salt. I wish I would have listened to save my family from the inconvenience.
I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT WORKING WITH THIS GOLF COURSE FOR ANY LIFE EVENT PARTIES. You will most likely end up disappointed due to lack of professionalism and communication. You’ve been warned!

Very unhappy with various parts of this course.
For one, I had joined their league and it was ran terribly. For starters no rules or how the actual league was played was disclosed prior to submitting payment. Secondly it was decided last year that there would be no cash prizes to the winners....but this was not up for a vote for any new comers to the league.
Along with how terrible the league was ran they again used last years rules to dictate how we would play by giving 100% handicap...WHO DOES THAT? As an avid golfer that has played various events that utilize handicap generally you give a % of a handicap rather then using the full amount. Since anyone with a sub 10 HC will not really have a chance.
So if you are looking for a competitive league, this WOULD not be the choice to make. The only good thing that this league offers is the price.
But that is if you actually get to play all of your rounds, that being said we had a few days canceled due to the "possibility" of rain during our time playing.
Now lets get into the course itself, generally I had enjoyed playing this course once or twice a year but to play it each week became annoying.
For one the tee boxes are generally destroyed. Multiple areas of dead grass and dirt that you are hitting off. On top of those areas they also tend to let some tee boxes grow out, where you feel as if you are trying to hit your driver off the deck.
But by far the WORST part of this course are the GREENS. Now generally when I play when I see any divots on the green I will fix them. But NO ONE seems to know how a divot tool works at this course. Every putt is like putting through a mine field. This is by far a greenskeepers worse nightmare.
So if you are looking for a non completive league or if you are HIGH handicapper golfer this is your place.
But if you want to play a fun course that takes care of the greens and tee boxes I would STONGLY suggest going elsewhere.
ADDITIONALLY if you are looking for a weekend round, AVOID this place, pace of play is TERRIBLE and they allow various walk-ins which ideally makes reserving a time though GOLF NOW pointless.
If you love SUB 6 hr 18 hole rounds then drop your money at this dump.

Horrible conditions, I had expired group golfer coupons, so they turn into a Credit at the course. Wanted to combined them to offset the cost of $47 for 18 and a cart on Sunday. They would only let me takeoff one. Pace of play was over three hours, calls to the pro shop apparently fell on deaf ears. Everything about that course is worn out. That course needs to be shut down, and more or less be rebuilt. Not worth a dollar to play.

This golf course needs a lot of work to because it is beat up. I didn’t feel safe walking up to some of the tee boxes. Also some of the bridges you drive look like there about to fall apart and looks very unsafe. I paid 35 for 18 holes on Sunday so you pay for what you get. Also not to mention all the empty beer cans all over the course. They don’t even bother to clean up the beer cans in places where they can easy pick it up. Also the carts had terrible I had to turn the steering wheel half way left to keep the cart straight and it was not safe for some of them tight bridges you are driving on. This is by far the worst golf course I’ve played in my life. I went there today with 2 of my friends and all 3 of us couldn’t even believe it. All the cart paths are made out of very old wood and the bridges literally look and feel like they’re ready to collapse. I think I almost tipped over 2 times. The course is meant to be a par 3 course, every fairway is way to tight, I don’t think there was 1 hole where I didn’t find someone else’s ball. You can’t even use a driver on the course if you hit over 200 off the tee box. Also looks like it hasn’t been cut in about 3 weeks. Would not recommend this course to anyone.

Well, not really a current use of the place but I did get married there 24 years ago when it was still Beaver Creek. Of course, I cannot attest for a lot of these complaints but it sure seems to me that either A.) people did not read/adhere to the contract or B.) tried to take advantage of said contract. Anyway, I digress. The venue was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL for a fall wedding! Years later, it still is brought up how gorgeous it was and how great everything looked. I can't recall who managed it then and I'm sure they're not there now but we carefully discussed the contract, made sure that both parties understood what was expected and communicated expectations clearly. Before internet. Before text. (God, I'm so old). So, to summarize, just for the sheer beauty of the place, the gorgeous setting outside, I would recommend this place. It worked for us, in 12 months and 4 days, it will be our 25th anniversary!

They make their own rules!
Rented this venue for a wedding that is 6 hours but the lights go on and the music must stop at 11:30 pm so they can clean up. Vargo's other banquet facility, Golden Hawk, gives you the venue for the entire 6 hours and lights go on at 12. Laura neglects to tell you everything like the cake is served on plastic plates with plastic forks and only for an additional $5 per person will she bring it to the tables. They brought the cut cake out before the bride and groom had even cut the cake. The bride asked her the night of the wedding if someone will carry the plates for herself and the groom and she responded that she wasn't going to do it, which is quite rude. She continually states that she has done a lot of weddings and no one has complained. I believe that is a lie! Her attitude is less than anyone would expect when paying for a service. Her staff is very young and at any given time there was only one person tending bar for 150 guests. Beware that she has exclusive vendors you must use.

Matt the manager immediately questioned our integrity and treated us like we were some kind of criminals. We were never hostile with him or his staff, but he continued to call us liars about what hole we were on when it began to rain... Reviews are only as good as the person that leaves them, but the staff at Myth Golf Course treated us in an extremely rude manner, questioned our integrity, and I will never golf there again.

I wasn't impressed with the course. The greens were ok but had a lot of puana and pretty bumpy. The layout was ok I guess but not a very good use of the available land. I have to say I don't think I would play there again.

I just started golf a couple of years ago and this is my absolute favorite! Every hole is different and challenging in it's own way. I look forward to playing Little Myth all winter.

Beautiful space, but the the employee in charge of the bookings is incredibly rude. Unfortunately it was not a good fit since we didn’t have enough people, but I was willing to move forward if I was “wowed” enough. My fiancé and I were treated with complete disrespect and I would never ever recommend someone to work with Laura. She was pushy, quick and tried the “intimidation method” throughout the very short 5 minute meeting. Once again, very beautiful space so I am very disappointed in the end result by the employee Laura.

No issues at all leading up to the wedding. Laura was very responsive and straight to the point with everything. Venue was beautiful, and everything was set up as promised. Food was great and the bartenders and servers were all very nice. My wedding planner had checked the schedule with Laura and she and I thought everything had been approved and okayed with her (we had everything planned down to the minute) well in the middle of dinner Laura came up to me and told me that the first shuttle bus needed to arrive sooner because she had a wedding to prepare for the following day. Just what a bride wants to hear in the middle of eating her dinner. Luckily my wedding planner came right up and was able to handle everything and get ahold of the shuttle company. We had the room until 12am and had cleanup until 12:30. My wedding planner had just about everything cleaned up by 11:25 and put into the bridal suite where Matt told us we could store things until 9am the following morning. I thought great, now we can just relax and have a good time with our remaining guests. Not the case, Laura had turned the lights on at 11:30 (last call) and pretty much ended things..?! At this point everyone headed to get there things, I was irritated but let it go as I didn't want to let it ruin the rest of the evening. I went over and thanked Laura for everything and headed to the bridal suite to gather my things... here my poor wedding planner had to let me know that we were NOT allowed to store things in the bridal suite. Mind you we are all heading onto a shuttle bus! Luckily we had a few friends who hadn't been drinking and drove and were able to take everything with them. At this point I am outside waiting on the shuttle to arrive (mind you we should still be inside dancing and enjoying ourselves until 12am which is what we paid for!!!). My husbands cousin headed back inside to use the bathroom and heard Laura shouting about how our wedding was a f****ing wreck and we were a s*** show! Mind you the DJ and my wedding planner are still inside wrapping things up. Unbelievable. Fortunately I was able to enjoy the rest of my night because I had no idea any of this happened until the following afternoon. It is just insane to me and apparently clear that Laura wanted to prep for the wedding the next day so she cut my evening short and was unhappy for god knows what reason! My wedding planner was fantastic and did a great job cleaning everything up, the bridal suite was completely empty the only thing left was the take down of table and chairs and things that belonged to the Myth. If having a good time at your wedding is something you're interested in then I would suggest you keep looking.. There are several bad reviews on Laura and I had chosen to ignore them because I loved then venue and figured because I was a very laid back bride and can be very curt myself sometimes that our interactions would be minimal and I could deal with it. Please take my advice, the people you interact with on your wedding day make a HUGE difference. This venue is not the choice for you to begin your happily ever after, please keep looking!
