Trevor is very knowledgeable, not just in the areas of exercise and training but overall wellness and nutrition as well. He is genuinely passionate about the work that he does. Trevor is a huge asset in the physical health and wellness field and I'm so happy that he's in Birmingham. His evaluation process and hands-on approach set him apart and he does a great job tailoring his programs to the individual. I'm excited to continue working with Trevor and I will definitely be recommending him and his gym to others in need of a great strength coach.

5 Stars. Get place to work out. The owner, Trevor, really knows his stuff and practices what he preaches. He has 4 workouts posted each day - one for lower body, upper body, conditioning, and Olympic lifting. You can also bring your own if you currently have a regimen. Following the program will expose you to movements and variations that you've never done before, and if you keep with it you will see improvements in movements such as squats, bench press, and dead lifts, among others. It's not a large space like Planet Fitness or anything so others will be working out with and near you, but the atmosphere is great and the other members are always very supportive. Whether you're just starting out, an established 'gym rat', or looking for something new, I would highly recommend!

Over the years, I have had the privilege of Trevor's careful watch and training. He pays great attention to detail and can fix any issues you might have when you're working on a lift. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes the time to listen and offer feedback. Small class sizes offer what feels like a tailored, private training session. I highly recommend Nelson Strength & Conditioning for your place to work out, get fit, meet your goals (and often exceed your expectations), all while learning about proper form and technique.

NSC is a great gym for beginners and experienced athletes alike. Trevor is a knowledgeable and professional trainer who focuses on the details and works with his clients to ensure they improve not only in their areas of focus but also in their overall strength and health.
The gym is very clean and organized and focuses on powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, and conditioning. The clientele are a mix of various strength and weightlifting abilities that support each other in their fitness goals. I would recommend this gym to anyone at any skill level. 5 stars ⭐️!

Great Gym! Very clean and organized. Trevor is a knowledgeable and professional trainer. I've been training here for over 6 months now and have seen good improvements in weightlifting form and strength. Trevor is always there to help, and he will make sure you understand and perform exercises correctly. I like that he provides a weightlifting plan each week that leads to continual strength improvement. Also, the other gym members are supportive and positive, great atmosphere!

He always modifies to my preferences and does a great job exposing areas that need extra attention. He has helped me recovery from injury. I have enjoyed training with Trevor for the last several years, and am thrilled that he opened NSC. Trevor is a thoughtful, skilled, and dedicated CSCS and trainer. He has a keen eye for detail and can carefully assess every client’s needs, abilities, and potential for improvement. He provides tailored and personalized instruction and always delivers constructive feedback. He emphasizes proper form/mechanics and the importance of performing movements safely. Trevor is by far the best trainer I've worked with! I'm definitely not an athlete and I knew nothing about weightlifting, but through working with him I've seen my strength, knowledge, and confidence in the gym increase. I'm now no longer intimidated to walk into the gym as a woman and lift weights. He is meticulous about form and helping you learn the correct way to perform each exercise and avoid injury. He tailors his instruction to each person's level of experience, from the newbie non-athlete to the serious, professional athlete. By far the most skilled, knowledgeable, and professional trainer I've come across!

Great private gym! Came here with a shoulder injury. With the help of Trevor, owner and certified strength and conditioning specialist, I was able to rehabilitate and get my mobility back. If you have questions or a specific goal, Trevor will help you get there. The equipment is top notch. There are different classes you can gear your workout goals towards to. Would recommend for all types of people.

The moment Trevor Nelson told me he was opening his own gym I was excited. He is a fantastic instructor that is knowledgeable in many areas, and cares about the success of his gym members. The amount of attention and support he provides his beginning clients is un-paralleled .
Additionally, this location is convenient, clean, and has excellent equipment that would be hard to come by at another gym.

I have been training with Trevor for 6 years now (before he opened NSC) and cannot recommend the experience highly enough. I went from being a novice lifter to competing in a few powerlifting meets. The facilities and equipment are clean, organized and comprehensive. The programming is superb and can be tailored to anyone from beginner to veteran looking to push his/her limits.
