Great aerobic & cardio workouts that also include strength-building for all muscle groups and endurance. If you are my age, check out the Facebook group for Orange Theory over 70 years old, but way more intensive than Silver Sneakers, as most participants are college age through mid-life. This is keeping me in shape, after doing triathlons & martial arts in the past. Located across from MSU on Hagadorn Rd. in Hannah Plaza.

I honestly love going to Orangetheory Fitness. I used to be a gym goer until COVID-19 hit and all gyms closed. I couldnβt find the motivation to workout at home. My friend recommended OTF and Iβm SO glad she did. Iβve been going since 2021 and I donβt plan on stopping anytime soon. If youβre looking for a place that combines cardio and strength training along with yearly fitness challenges you should check out OTF! Iβve been to multiple locations and OTF East Lansing and Ann Arbor are my favorites. The coaches are honestly amazing anywhere you go but these locations truly have my heart. If you want to be pushed they will OR you can go at your own pace. Either way they will support you and whatever fitness goals you may have. I originally started going to lose body fat (which I did - yay!) but now Iβm surpassing personal records and focusing on becoming lean and just a healthier version of myself.

I'm the type of person who needs structure and a group atmosphere to get the most out of a workout. I enjoy the variety in the workouts. Coaches are good. I do believe pricing could be adjusted. It is very expensive. I believe the late cancel timeframe should be adjusted. 8 Hours shouldn't be considered late. That should go down to 4 or 2 to be reasonable in my opinion. l also had circumstances that made me late by 7 min. They wouldn't let me into class. On a different day, I witnessed someone come into class 20 min late. If you are going to be by the book, then do it for everyone.

OTF EL is one of my favorite places to go. I love the fact that I don't have to plan my own workouts, I can sign up in advance so I know I will have a spot saved for me, and I will be challenged to do things that I wouldn't do on my own at a standard gym. I recommend wearing ear plugs, though, since the music can be quite loud! The community is wonderful, the spaces are kept clean, and I have always felt safe working out in this space.

If you are looking for a place to work out that you will stick with, come to Orange Theory Fitness. It doesnβt matter if you donβt work out at all. You will be welcomed into Orange Theory with open arms and guided through each class by the best coaches around. The classes are well organized and thought out ahead of time to give everyone the best opportunity to improve themselves physically at their own pace through cardio and strength training. You are in and out in an hour and always feeling Great!! The classes will fit into anyoneβs schedule. Orange Theory Fitness offers classes 7 days a week with some starting as early as 5 am and some as late as 7 pm. This place is addictive. You will want to keep coming back π

The Transformation Cjallenge, like the many other fitness/goal related challenges put on by Orangetheory for its members is one of the reasons I love this place. I had not stepped foot in a gym in over 2 years when I tried my first class. I have been absolutely loving the workouts!
Once you step foot in the workout area, your brain shuts out anything going on in your life other than getting through each small accomplishment. I love that the heart monitor is incorporated to show all the hard work weβre putting in! You will leave so proud of yourself, youβll burn a ton of calories, and youβll leave so energized and ready to take on the day. I am so not a morning person, but Iβve gotten used to waking up, crushing my workout, and having so much more day to enjoy!
I will be honest with this review, as I do have a few negatives.
I definitely prefer some coaches over others. Youβll learn who you like, especially with what times of classes you can take! I love the weekend ones.
They *HAVE GOT TO* start switching up the playlists. Literally 50% of the classes I have taken so far, Iβve heard the same ancient backstreet boy song mixed with country music in there and I donβt know anyone who gets hyped up listening to that! It makes the whole workout so much less enjoyable unfortunately.
I do think the price for unlimited is pretty high, $179 a month is a lot, but if you go more days than not, itβs worth it if you truly enjoy it. Be ready to spend another $125 on your heart monitor too.
All in all, 4.5/5, but I gave a 5 star!

Orangetheory is a great gym! The coaches are knowledgeable, and also invested in your progress, providing both motivation and support. One of the best aspects of the workouts is that theyβre completely planned out, so all you have to do is show up and give it your best. Plus, exercises can be modified to suit different fitness levels, and the coaches do an excellent job of pushing you while ensuring you feel comfortable and capable.

Overall everything about OTF is great. Frankly, Liz almost singlehandedly has the energy and care that makes this spot amazing. If anyone from OTF reads this... You need to give her a raise, time off, or both. I wouldn't even have signed up without her killer attitude and energy.
I dock one star because their whole system is derived around buying their bands to see your effort on screen. You'll do a free class or two, sign up... The suddenly realize you don't have a band. Gotta buy that extra. $100+. Got a watch that broadcasts HR? Too bad. Can't use it.
Overall I'm a fan and have no alternative that rivals.
I do admit the scheduling shown in the mobile app can leave a lot to be desired.

Great classes with fun staff! They are always playing upbeat music to pump you up during class. The gym itself is very clean and everyone wipes their equipment between stations. They have a couple changing rooms with showers for those who need to shower before work. I definitely recommend coming here.

Great guidance, good tempo. I personally made the faux pas of not eating before my very first workout (rookie mistake), and having not worked out for months, ended up getting too lightheaded and fatigued in the first 20 minutes. The coach supported me with liquid electrolytes and some simple carbs while I recovered. Greatly appreciate the teams support and consideration. Looking forward to completing my trial next week.

I signed up online for a free first class, and when I arrived the employees at the front desk had a sign specifically welcoming me and they were very knowledgeable and thorough when giving me the run down of how the classes worked. The actual class was really cool too! The coach was super attentive to all the participants, and the way the classes are designed is fun and doesn't make you feel like everyone is staring at you. 10/10 totally signed up!

I love the cardio (treadmill) portion of the class the most. The coaches are very motivating and their direction allows me to push myself harder than I would if I was doing cardio work on my own. I have lost 8 pounds in the past month with my Elite membership (8 classes per month) and feel the difference in my stamina/cardiovascular health. Highly recommend joining.

I've been going to OTF East Lansing pretty regularly since they opened at the end of 2017 and I love it. The classes are fun and high intensity while being approachable by folks of every athletic level. Each workout is completely different. Every Orange Theory class is a combination of treadmill work (or a biking or strider alternative), rowing and strength floor exercises for usually an hour. And somehow I haven't had a repeat at all this year!
The coaches are super energetic and play good music to match the workout intensity. They're knowledgeable and will give feedback and motivation throughout your class.
The studio has also done a great job planning events to build the community. It's been fun to meet fellow Orange Theory nuts to chat about the workouts and our progress.
The exercises are challenging but can be modified to meet each individual's fitness level. And you get to see your heart rate stats right up on the screen as you go.
With your OTF membership, you can visit other studios across the country, which is great when I travel. But I still love my EL studio the best. They keep the facility clean and the equipment is really modern and in good repair.

The atmosphere, community, and workouts are all addicting! The coaches push members to be better every day. I love the friendships I've made since joining in January 2018. Not everyone gets to say working out is fun, but OTF is hands-down the best all-around workout.

I love OTF East Lansing! I never worked out a day in my life until they opened last December and canβt believe the transformation over the past year. The coaches are so helpful and encouraging Dylan, Nicole and Claire are the best as well as the whole staff. They make you feel comfortable and confident.
