The course is always in very solid shape with greens in better condition than many courses that cost nearly twice as much. A fun track to play with a few really good risk/reward holes. If the wind is blowing it can be more challenging than it looks. They continue to invest in the course and add value. One of the best courses for the price, definitely worth adding to your list.

As a player and an employee I can assure you PCGC will do the best they can to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. The staff works hard to create great customer interactions and assure all goes smoothly each day. Chase Kuyers, Kent Baar, and Morgan Kuyers do a fantastic job running the clubhouse, leagues, events, food and bev, and customer experiences. Not only that, the golf course is almost always in fantastic condition and the greens and fairways have become better every year. Mike Kuyers, Brad Hotovy, and the rest of the grounds crew work hard to make sure these conditions stay in great shape. I always enjoy playing here with a challenging layout but fairly flat lies. The course is a gem so make sure to come check it out!

If I could give this course a 6/5 I would. I have absolutely zero complaints about this course. The greens ran true, the fairways were butter, and overall a great time. I came in with a Golden Passbook with the wrong time and the owner still honored the tickets. I would recommend this course to my friends.

Went with a group of 6 after calling and getting the ok earlier in the week. Once we arrived the staff on gave us a hard time even though I was told on Monday we would be good if I just paid for two tee times. We proceeded to be hounded by the ranger five times within the first two holes. He made multiple degrading comments about the skill level of our group. Granted we arenβt the most skilled golfers but thereβs no need to harass a card when we're just out there to have fun. Even after we split our group to avoid being bothered by him anymore he continued to watch us the whole round and even trailed our cart after we made one wrong turn on the course. Not a course Iβd recommend for any sort of casual play unless you wanna feel like youβre being judged by the elitist staff any time you have a bad swing!

Love Pigeon Creek! I came to the womenβs wine and wedges last year having never golfed before. It was the perfect setting to learn how to play without being intimidated. The coaches were all great! I came back for another year of the program and have loved gaining more knowledge and helpful tips. My son attended the chasin birdies camp for the first time this year and loved it! Will definitely be signing him up for it again next year!

My experience at Pigeon Creek Golf course has been great. I am in my 3rd year doing the women, wine and wedges program; learning & picking up something new each year. I also took a lesson through coach Chase Kuyers that has helped me improve my golf game. Coach Chase is good at explaining golf in a fun and easy to understand way. He has a kind, laid back yet professional manner about him that helps make golf less intimidating. The drills and swing adjustments he suggested improved my golf game. My daughter attended the chasin birdies golf camp for the first time this year and loved it as well! We will definitely be looking to register again for next year. The golf course overall - the staff and the facilities are great!

My experience at pigeon creek was exceptional! I started the day hitting on a range that had the best grass locally that I had ever seen. Next , headed out to the course and found the exact same. This course is VERY well taken care of from top to bottom. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are very well maintained. Pigeon creek is very affordable and the staff is so nice. The director of golf at pigeon creek(chase) cares about your experience and it shows!!! Will be back for sure!

Course was amazing and in great condition, cart girl and clubhouse employees were very very nice and helpful. My group was there for a bachelor party, and played in 3 separate groups all day. On hole 17, a ranger (apparently having a bad day or just not a pleasant person), decided to come up to our group that was watching us finish out hole 16. We decided to play hole 17-18 as an entire group of 9 people, which we understand is not allowed typically.
Here is where my problem arises, I have been to hundreds of courses, and NOT A SINGLE EMPLOYEE HAS EVER TREATED ME LIKE THIS RANGER DID. This individual was using expletive language, was not nice at all, and was making false claims about the rest of our group. We did what he asked (split back up) , and he still felt it was necessary to interrupt our tee shots on 18, to lie about the group ahead of us, and tell us that the others in our group are not allowed back to the course.
I let the ranger know that I am not interested in coming back to the course anyway, because of how he was acting and treating our group. Apparently βthe ownerβ was the one that sent the ranger to harass us. Kind of inexcusable to not speak to people yourself if you have an issue with them.
With that being said, it is sad that I donβt have any desire to come back after how we were treated. I have seen similar problems be handled with a lot more class and respect. I understand course rules, but all I expect is to be treated nicely and with respect, no need to cuss at grown men.

Easily one of the nicest courses I've played in my life. Staff is great and greens keepers are great at keeping the course in tip top shape. Course was in decent shape for being the fall season that is upon us. Greens are nice, and the cups are seated nicely. Little pricey at $55 on Golf Now App, which is a deal. The only reason for 3 stars honestly is that they packed that course with people. Guys are hitting 3 fairways across and then trying to play back across to their hole. Got hit on multiple times from the guys behind myself and my buddy that was with me. We were 45 mins behind pase of play bc of how many people were on the course. The course overall is a nice course. The carts do have GPS in them, which is also a plus.

Went there the morning of a friendβs wedding, with his reception at Pigeon Creek that evening. We got there planning on only 9 holes. Iβm assuming the owner (Chase?) came out, and was pretty upset about how they dont book a round of 9, only 18 in the morning. I understand why he was upset, but he was making it a very big deal on how he βlost out on $500-$600 on this allβ.
At the end of the conversation, he mentioned that the least we could do was leave him a Google Review. Which, I get. I get these help him, but he was being pretty rude about it. To make matters weirder, on the third hole the cart girl came to our group and told us she was told to remind us to leave a google review. She definitely implied that her boss told her to remind us. According to my friends, she came back through reminding us again. It was annoying of her boss to keep having her come up.
He charged most of the group for 9 holes, but some guys in the group mentioned they were charged the full 18 rate, and that was when the golf pro (Chase?) was ringing them up. Not sure if this was intentional or not, but it was a pretty bad thing to do regardless.
The golf was fun, well maintained and fun course. They did a decent job of hosting the wedding reception itself, but my negative experiences came from our interactions with that one guy who as I keep mentioning I think was Chase the golf pro. Reading the other reviews it also looks like he was not the kindest to other customers.

Yesterday, I went back to this course after a taking a few years off golf, and I was very pleasantly surprised! The dirt lot is now paved, the clubhouse is more like a clubhouse, and there is a brand new building that can be rented out for outings/weddings.
The course itself is always in a good shape and yesterday was no exception. They now have brand new carts, which are electric and quite peppy, and they also have built-in GPS.
The driving range was closed due to maintenance, but it was always in a good shape in the past. They really do a good job of making sure the golfers have grass to hit from, unlike some other courses that treat the range as an afterthought.
The only trees on the course are evergreens, so you can look forward to fall golf without losing your balls in the middle of the fairways, under fallen leaves!
There is water - a lot of it! :)
The greens fees are also very reasonable. I highly recommend the course.

The course was actually pretty nice. The staff (I believe a manager of some kind) was very rude to us and all but called us liars to our faces. We were very respectful of their rules, and even with that, the ranger followed us for the first few holes making sure we didn't do anything that they didn't like. Not only will I never come back to this course because of the way we were treated, neither will anyone else that I was with. Good job making this the worst golf experience I have ever had. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE experience.

Course was nice but Pigeon Creek decided to allow my friends and I to book right before a massive outing and then told us to hurry up when they realized that allowing bookings right before an outing might not be the smartest. We are a young group and we were definitely not playing βtoo slowβ. Ranger told us there was a βbig jamβ and I got the hint he was blaming us. Told my friend he couldnβt use his βYouth On Courseβ pass because they only allow it for a short few hours in the day. Do you not like seeing the next generation golf in the summer Pigeon Creek? How do you expect the game to keep growing while limiting the younger generation to a short few hours during the summer? Why do you allow bookings a few minutes before an outing?

Love Pigeon Creek! The course is in perfect shape. The rough is hard and not forgiving which adds to the difficulty of this perfectly maintained course. The grounds crew has done an amazing job. For what need did you change it where we are paired up with another 2 some? Pigeon is not a pilgrims run.. I played/was paired with people who only had 1 set of clubs and couldnβt hit the ball made the experience longer than needed around 2-3 hours when it should have been an hour and a half. Pigeon Creek is one of my favorite courses close to the lakeshore. The staff is always pleasant and accommodating. The course is fair, challenging, and always in great condition. While you wonβt find elevation here, it is still very fun to play. There are a good amount of opportunities to score but each hole will challenge you to balance risk and reward on most shots. I would say it is much more challenging than the slope/rating let on, considering you will face windy conditions almost any time of year.

My experience and lessons through coach Chase Kuyers, and Pigeon Creek Golf Course as a whole, was nothing short of phenomenal. From day one, Chase made it very evident he was genuinely aligned with my goal of improving my golf game. His lessons themselves GREATLY improved my golf game and his overall lessons, tips, and adjustments were presented in an easy-to-understand way. I went from golfing a total of 8-9 times prior (in my whole life) to being able to comfortably shoot under 90 by the end of one summer of coaching. His coaching, tips, and adjustments are all with intention and he is great at explaining why he is making a suggestion or adjustment to your swing or game in each coaching session.
While Chase was extremely professional in our interactions, he is very laid back and easy to connect with extending past the game of golf. Beyond the pleasure of being able to noticeably watch my golf game improve, I was able to look forward to each lesson because simply put, Chase was a fun, nice guy to be around.
I canβt place enough significance on Chaseβs desire to improve my, and othersβ, golf game and truly how effective his coaching was for me. I can say with confidence that I look forward to attending any events or clinics he puts on in the future, and will certainly continue to golf at Pigeon Creek.

Pigeon Creek Golf Course is fun! The course itself is in very good shape, greens are very fast. Has a nice putting green and driving range, with new electric carts utilizing computer based rangefinding and course management tools, even music to play if you wish. They're in the process of adding a new event venue which looks like it'll be a beautiful space. My only small wish would be for cold water to be made available along the course. Fabulous links style golf course! My wife and I enjoyed our walking round here a few days ago. The staff are wonderful, and the ranger gave us tips for shot placement and green speeds. Greens rolled true and the sand was in great condition. Pace of play was perfect, we never had to wait for the foursome in front or rushed by the group behind. Currently, they are a BYOB, so if that's important to you, be warned.
One suggestion: have water coolers (or a beverage cart) out on the course. There's not much shade, and we ran out of water halfway through the front nine. We were able to stock up at the turn, so we were prepared for the back nine.

Very fair test of golf. The course played a nice distance from the Blues and presented a nice challenge. The course is relatively wide open with some good placement of bunkers and water to keep you honest. The facilities were nice (the new complex they are building looks like it would add a tremendous amount to the overall experience), the "pro shop" had a nice selection and the carts with built in GPS were new. I felt bad for the management as we encountered a few groups that were enjoying Post-COVID golf of which for me is slow play and disrespect of the course. Had to spend what felt like 5 minutes on every green cleaning up fellow golfers ball marks! One of my playing companions mentioned that the course has come a long way in the past few years, I will return and look forward to seeing the improvements that are planned.

Beautiful course but challenging, and very well maintained. Very friendly staff. Nice driving range with plenty of space and a putting green with a bunker to practice from. There's also another practice green between the first and tenth holes.

The best thing about this course is the price - it's cheap. You get what you pay for. The greens were unimaginative; a bit fast and in ok shape but the "fairways" not so much. Lots of hardpan. Everywhere. So close to Lake Michigan and dry as a bone. Wide open with zero elevation.. good for the weekend hacker. Who likes to get lost .. non existent signage. No beverage service but they have CBD.. go figure.

As far as the course goes it's average. My problem was the slow play. Guys who hadn't hit a tee shot more than 150 yards all day were waiting for the green to clear from 190. Then a twosome jumped in front of us at the turn and both were playing two balls the entire time up til I had to say something to them. A ranger would be nice to move people along.

What a great course! The links style course offers a lot of room for new players but it is a tough course to master for lower handicap players. The course is always in amazing shape.
The management of this course is top notch!
My one critique would be the lack of food in the clubhouse, this course is out there and something at the turn or at the end of the round would be appreciated (they do have expensive $3.50 hot dogs)

Very well kept course. Great ownership. As long as tee times are spaced appropriately this is a hidden gem.

In terms of the condition of the course, Pigeon Creek is top notch. What it may lack in trees, elevation change or other obstacles, it makes up for with excellent greens and fairways. Spring, summer, fall, the track is always well groomed. I have yet to play here and be turned off by a burnt green or trashed tee box.

Fun little track. Lots of water, but very few forced carry. From the tee hit as much club as you can keep in play and you'll be fine. Two practice greens and decent size range too.

Watered fairways, greens, tee boxes. Good sand in traps. All holes play fair. It's late September and greens are healing from aeration. It's that time of year, and they played well in spite of the aeration marks.

Great course! The course is well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. Most of the holes are pretty straight forward, but there are a few that are quite challenging. No alcohol service, so it seems like the kind of course where you wouldn't need to worry about obnoxious groups holding up pace of play. Definitely recommend real golfers checking it out!

It's okay. Most greens flat as a pool table. Not really challenging. No way it's better than Macatawa. I've played both courses. It's macatawa hands down. And be prepared for the animal smell the whole time you're playing as the course is in between a bunch of farms.

Iβve never left a one star in my life, especially before even golfing, but this course deserves it. The worker at the counter was extremely rude. Iβm not sure if it had anything to do with me wearing a Trump mask, but either way. It was very rude, never said βhave a nice dayβ, βgood luckβ anything like that. He sounded snooty, etc. he was a young guy, Iβm sure the rest of the workers arenβt bad, but, geez.
