Iโve moved around Ohio and Michigan a lot in the past few years and have been to a few PFโs, and this is genuinely the worst one Iโve had to go to.
Customer service is genuinely awful. Itโs bugged me for over a year but I had my breaking point a few days ago. There were like 4 workers behind the counter when I walked in, none of them said hello or held up the scanner. The girl with her baby literally made eye contact with me and didnโt let the person she was talking to (older dude that also comes off as rude whenever I see him) that I was right behind him to scan my card when he was the one closest to it. One of the workers realized I was coming and made an attempt to get to the scanner but I already scanned it myself (Iโm blanking on who, but I think it was the blonde girl with long hair. Sheโs one of the only two workers there that are genuinely nice). Itโs so hard for most of them to say hi and bye for some reason and itโs like pulling teeth for them to literally hold up a scanner. Iโm a cosmetologist and I deal with a lot of people on a daily basis just like you guys, and I get itโs draining, but you chose that job so the best you can do is at least ACT like youโre nice.

Terrible experience. I showed up ready to work out and they wouldnโt even let me in. I pay for a membership and expect to be treated with basic respect, but instead I was turned away without a good explanation. If youโre looking for a reliable gym, look somewhere elseโclearly Planet Fitness doesnโt value their members.

I used to love this place but now its honestly not great, the โmanagerโ jason stands creepily RIGHT behind ALL of the young girls and you can clearly tell that some of them are uncomfortable by doing so, he also does not manage anyone i am a mamager myself and this is not how you lead a staff i have seen a young blonde boy (employee) stand in treadmills and machines and just talk to friends for hours while this black and red haired girl and some of the blonde girls does everything they are both terrible people to have on your staff and i hope they get structure soon.

Gym is only open 24 hours a 3 times a week.
Facility is always dirty. One of the employees always has a baby with her. There has only been one tanning booth available for over a month.
Everything was filthy. Team members were sitting on the floor behind the counter instead of doing their jobs.

Good customer service! Pretty clean place. If you need anything like if the bathroom is out of toilet paper or paper towels, and you notify staff. They will take care of it ASAP. Thereโs always someone dusting, mopping, changing out spray bottles and paper towels around the workout areas. Staff are very nice. This is a good planet fitness!

When I first got my membership in 2021 staff was great and the gym was so clean and great atmosphere ! They were at the counter and when not there they were seen around the gym helping, filling cleaning supplies, and cleaning equipment and maintaining the gym. Lately I am so sad on the lack of professionalism. In most recent months the gym is very unclean. Staff seems bothered when you are checking in. No paper towels are in the dispensers, cleaner is low or out in workout areas. I know multiple people who have said the same thing. For an example yesterday I went to tan in booth 1 the staff member checking me in seemed to not want to be there he rolled his eyes and lack professionalism. When I entered the room I noticed it was dirty and no paper towels. I went right to the desk to ask and the same person who checked me in, he seemed bothered and instead of re-filling just handed me an almost empty roll of paper towel to take in to use. When I exited and brought the cleaning spray to the front desk I handed it to another staff member and I made sure to mention to him that there is no paper towel in booth 1 and I told the previous staff member, he did not relay that message to his co worker.
(Edit to add) I have tried to ask for a manager and is given the same answer that their will be one on staff the next day.

I just started going here. Everything is nice and clean altho it dark and hard to tell in the massage area. Ngl the hydro massage is better than any actual massage ive gotten from masseuses. Worth the membership alone. Fun variety of machines and equipment. Altho the cardio machines are a bit dated at this point compared to newer gyms. And I would like to see some jacobs ladders. And more bikes (not 100%) but i dont think i say any. Main complaint is they have only 1 machine that does both chest flies and read deltsโฆ.with 2 of every other machine and 3 or 4 bycep curl machine (plus free weights). It seems like they could have at least 2 of those. Huge gym wasnt that busy frim 6-8 on monday morning.
Update lots of staff complaints but the ladies at the counter on my first trip were super friendly and very helpful showing me how to use the massage stuff.

Unfortunately this PF needs some attention. The staff always seems like they either don't want to be there or they have no idea what they are doing. The workout equipment is dated compared to the other PFs I've been too and the tanning beds need alot of maintenance. I'd say this gym is also not the cleanest I've been too. I can honestly say this gym is closer to me but I will never be coming back.

I've been going for years with some time off here and there for personal reasons ofc. The new hours make it hard to stick to my routine and I wish they'd do 24 hours again all week long as I can't go on Friday night after work anymore. Some other reviews I CAN verify. Paper towels are always low/empty, and cleaning bottles are either empty or barely screwed on to where I grab one and it almost comes off and spills. There's a big pocket under the floor by the dumbbells as well that I've almost tripped on multiple times while carrying my weights back and forth. I've had multiple times where my tanning has been messed up because the person didn't enter it right and it started early or just wouldn't start at all after I'd already applied my tanning lotion. The bulbs weren't replaced for a while until a while back and they do seem a bit weaker now again. The biggest thing for me is PLEASE bring back 24 hours. I love going late at night when there's only maybe 5-10 people there. Wish some of the more popular machines had multiples as well. The pectoral fly and stretching cage mainly as there's a guy who takes the stretching cage for like 20 minutes and doesn't do anything but sit on his phone the whole time in improper stretches. Water dispenser filters have sat at red for days before too and I've noticed that they don't really call out what they define to be lunks either. Guys come in with obnoxious groups that hog machines sometimes and they sit there slamming weights and hollering. If you're on a machine and you have to slam the weights back down every time then it's too much weight for you. 1/2 the people I see there don't even clean their machines after.

Edit: Basically disregard my original review. I had to take a few months off after a surgery. The first time I went to go back last night, I discovered the open hours have changed and couldn't go. I got lucky I opened google maps before I drove far. I would have been even more mad if I wasted my gas to discover it's closed! I'm second shift and one of the reasons I went with PF was because of being able to go late hours. That makes going on the weekend nearly impossible. I have limited availability to make the 40 min trip there and 40 min back. What I had going was working for me. This makes it much more difficult to meet my goals. It's unacceptable that there were no updates or explanations sent out to members that I'm aware of. I don't care if the info can be found on the app or website, don't give me that crap like you did someone else. It seems to be a company wide change, there should have been communication regardless. What's the point if I'm being forced to go during busy times? I hate going during busy hours, and now more people are going to be forced to be there in a shorter time period. I'm second shift anyway, the chances that I'm ready to go in good time on the weekends are slim. I would rather my monthly rate go up a little than the hours change if it was money cuts. I'm so frustrated, disappointed, and feel disrespected. For a company that charges monthly and annual dues, they should be more considerate of their members time and resources.
So far it's way better than a previous gym I went to locally. I drive 40 minutes because it's worth the black card amenities price point. The staff has been friendly and helpful. I just wish with all the cardio equipment available, that there was at least one Jacob's Ladder.

I've been a member for numerous years at the Adrian planet fitness. I find the facility equipment and services to be appropriate. The staff are helpful, friendly, & professional.
My main concerns deal with slow pace in which damaged equipment & facility services are addressed. Examples include damaged urinal, shower heads, weight scales, broken equipment etc...i feel these examples displays a lack of respect for members. I hope PF addresses these concernsfor sake your business & it's members.

Laura deserves an absolute shout out! A few weeks back, she was a PRO in keeping her (very high) integrity and conduct in order, while a rather difficult client (who deserved to be escorted out) gave her a hard time every which way but right. Her colleagues were supportive and management available for contact immediately! Witnessing this only improved my comfort in an already great environment! This staff member is WAY above the bar, and deserves recognition for her efforts.

Upon entering the facility, I was met with a concerning lack of professionalism from the owner, Elaine. Her demeanor, characterized by what I can only describe as an intense and unsettling gaze, immediately set an uncomfortable tone. However, the true issue arose from her aggressive behavior. When wanting to cancel my account Elaine called me names and cursed in front of my 14 year old daughter. Furthermore, Elaine's habit of spitting while speaking added a layer of discomfort to the interaction, demonstrating a lack of respect and decorum expected in a professional setting. In light of this experience, I must caution fellow friends against go to Planet Fitness under Elaine's management. The disregard for boundaries and professionalism exhibited during my visit detracted significantly from what should have been a positive and supportive environment for fitness enthusiasts. I will never return here again and I feel bad for those who even have to encounter Elaine's screaming, crazy eyes, and slurs.

Its clear that the owner cares more about squeezing every last dime out of the members than ensuring a pleasant and functional gym environment. Heres a laundry list of reasons why im fed up with this owner:
1: neglecting equipment maintenance
2: failure to address member feedback
3: lack of investment in member experience
Besides the owner i would love to give the hardworking staff the 5 stars they deserve, (unfortunately their pay doesnt reflect that either from my knowledge), but i cant due to the owners complete apathy towards the gyms condition.

First of all the gym is great. Great staff and awesome equipment and a clean place. With that said the reason for my 2 stars is the tall goofy dude who i believe is a manager. I was an exsisting previous memeber. I wanted to renew by black card membership. So he set me up. Charged me $3 and then $25 on my first day. Next day i go in and im nkt a member. So i he set me up again and charged me $25 again. Once i figured out they took $53 total i asked him how to get my $25 back for the mistake that HE made and admitted to making. He said theres nothijg he can do. He cant give me the money and he cant apply it towards next mknths bill. So basically he can steal my money and get away with it. Now today im trying to tan and he will not let me go because they have a 24 hr rule. Its been 20 hours since my last visit and he will not press the button that allows me to tan early. Every other emplyess there has never gave me any issues. They hit whatever button and let me go. So from nkw on i flat out refuse to be helped by that boy.
If you do hand him ur debit card make sure to double and triple check that he isnt stealing ur hard earned money.
PF can thank him alone for tge 2 stars. Other than that its a 5 star gym.

This place... I've seen and taken pics of some very gross situations. They need to make sure these people clean the tanning beds when they're done, not leave a bunch of hair and oil for the next person. There have beb times that I had to clean for 10 minutes before I can lay down. Look at where the back of your calf hits when you first sit. I'm the only one who ever cleans that and it's obvious. They should pay their employees a decent wage, then they'd clean. They were hiring a few months ago and when I asked how much they start at I almost busted out laughing. Do they know what year it is?
A person living at home wouldn't be able to simply afford there own food with what they're paying.
Share the wealth you ungrateful heathens. At your pay rate I can't even expect them to clean. They're basically doing favors for millionaires. Ridiculous.

As much as I enjoy the PF atmosphere and pricing I am left unimpressed by the lack of free weights (75lb dumbells is the max), benches and squat racks. There are too many Smith machines and treadmills that are only half used at peak hours.

Horrible men's room is always extremely dirty, leeches crawling out of sink, showers are orange, staff is usually alone sitting on the counter on their cell phones... but this is the only decent option in town for the price. 5/1/22 Google asked me to update my experience, it hasn't changed at all the place stinks it's dirty and the employee was chilling on his phone. IDC either way, definitely not post COVID approved. If that says anything...

Tanning rooms are smelly, floors are sticky, and there aren't enough hooks to hang clothes bags ect. The massage chairs are also smelly. The women's locker room shower area could really use a curtain as most people are t comfortable being naked in front of complete strangers. I NEVER have been in a more disgusting gym and will canceling my membership. Sad you can't hire staff to clean

I love taking classes with trainer Fletcher Foreman. He is very knowledgeable about each member in his classes. He knows their strengths and weaknesses and all of their injuries. He easily modifies the workouts for anyone needing such, and is very attentive to that. He sets goals and CARES about EVERYONE of his members!! He is the reason we have all continued with these classes!! A GREAT trainer is not easy to find. He knows all of the equipment and teaches us all how to use it accurately. He encouraged our group to join him in the recent 5K in Tecumseh Michigan and all of us went. It was a great team builder for our group not to mention a great representation of dedication to planet fitness. I truly appreciate all that he does for us at this gym. I hope he has the opportunity to be long term here. He is definitely an asset to this gym!!!

Would not work with us on auto renewal fee. My daughter had not gone to Planet Fitness for months because of Plantar Warts. We decided to cancel but they renewed on anniversary date, which is their right. HOWEVER, when we asked for grace because she will not be able to go. We were told, sorry it's in the contract. I understand this in the strictest sense, but their business does not allow for grace or understanding of individual circumstances which is the hallmark of good, fair, and reasonable businesses.

Iโve been with PF for years and moved here in March. I paid every month for six months and finally get back into the gym after being sick all summer and they say I canโt come in due to some financial discrepancy in June (one that I was never told about).
They took their money last weekโฆ againโฆ but refuse service?
When discussing with them their solution was to โwaive the late feeโ
I have paid this location for six months of service to be refused the one day I finally walked in the door
When I asked to cancel my membership due to their attitude, I was laughed at and told โyou canโt cancel until you pay your late feeโ.

Excellent Planet Fitness Center location, and the franchise owner is an awesome person.
The manager, Adam is well qualified for the job and is always observant, professional and courteous. The guy also has a great sense of humor, so that makes any concerns more welcoming.
There are a lot of new faces and it's sad to know that some of last year's staff members are gone, but the new staff members are just as great!
The facility is always clean and fortunately fellow gym members are doing their part to keep the place today after using equipment. Covid-19 aside, as adult we should be cleaning up after ourselves anyway, right?

I love working out here. I would say that itโs the best gym for the money. But one thing that I donโt care for is the rules about โgruntingโ etc. Also the fact that they claim to be open โ24 hoursโ, considering my workout partner and I were kicked out because โthey had to cleanโ. And donโt forget how way over priced all of the drinks are, and how difficult it is to cancel your membership. Signing up is difficult too, they want a ton of information, including extra fees. The work outโs are good, the place is clean. But everything else, itโs not good. So Iโm rating it appropriately, and honestly. 3 stars.
