Visiting from Arizona, I tried the gym. It was so clean and organized. As a guest, I’d carried my drivers license, etc. After leaving the club, I knew cod lost it. At the front desk, offered to help. I gave up but with a flashlight he saw a thin, shiny object way under the cardio machine I’d used. Quite amazing. Lived the whole place and staff. Back in AZ, I’ve joined and am very pleased. 👍😁

Planet Fitness is a solid gym, especially for the price. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the gym is super clean with consistently updated equipment. I rarely ever have to wait for a machine, which makes workouts smooth and efficient. My only wish is that they had a squat rack, but overall, it’s a great place to get a good workout in without breaking the bank.

Worst customer service ever! Called and canceled membership, was told I would’t be billed and then was billed. Called to find out what happened and I was told, “Sorry our employee made a mistake you will be billed this month but not the following month!” That wasn’t what I as told when I called and he said, well sorry about that and refused to refund my money.

I reserved the company’s new member training and classes. The schedules showed 6 am sessions. I signed up for 6 am on the app. I arrived ready to go to be told the trainer doesn’t come in until 7 am. Was never compensated for this. I just dropped the membership.

Asked PF team members if they clean the lockers, they said yes. That’s interesting I said since there has been a pair of panties in locker 102 in the woman’s locker room for at least a month. Then the story changed and said it’s an invasion of privacy to clean the lockers, but they will take care of the panties in the locker, that was 3 days ago and they are still there. Talk about cleanliness.

Best Gym for the price! Always clean, machines are in working order and it's only $10/month. You really can't beat it. They close in the evenings on the weekends now. I am not super happy about that, but I understand and cannot complain. For what I pay, they are open 24 hours a day 5 days a week. And still keep hours on the weekends. This really is the best deal in gyms. Staff at this location are great too.

I visited this gym with my husband (member) on Saturday, August 12th, at around 7:00 p.m. at the Bloomfield Township Planet Fitness location. There was virtually no one in the gym at the time of our visit.

My husband was going to use one of his guest passes for me so that we could workout together. Ultimately I was going to sign up for my own membership so that my husband and I could work out together on a regular basis. But after our horrible and degrading experience with Craig at the front desk. We won't be returning anytime soon and my husband planning to cancel his gym membership on Monday morning.

When we approached the front desk at Planet Fitness my husband provided his member ID to Craig and asked for guest pass so that we could work out together. Craig refused to issue us a guest pass and told my husband that he only has the $10 per month membership and that whatever he was told when he signed up was not correct because $10 per month memberships don't have guest passes. I then asked Craig what I needed to do in order to obtain a guest pass so that we could proceed and go work out. Craig responded and told me that there was nothing I could do, adding "I guess you'll have to sign up for your own membership if you want to work out."

When asked about speaking to a manager, Craig stated that no managers were on duty. So we left.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this gym if you are looking for a safe and judgment free zone. The customer service is awful and the process of degradement isn't worth it

The facility and staff at the Bloomfield Township Planet Fitness (@Maple and Telegraph) are first rate and highly recommended. They go above and beyond the call of duty. I saw one of the more experienced staff members show the younger ones how it’s done—he helped an older customer out to her car after her workout. Not with a “hey, look at me” way about him, but a quiet and sincere concern for his customer. Of course, he didn’t have to do that, but he did. Seeing that made me a customer for life. They are also right on top of everything (fixing broken equipment, refilling empty paper towel dispensers, cleanliness, etc.). I really like this place.

I’ve been a member at the Bloomfield Hills location since it opened. It’s always clean, bathrooms too! The staff is so friendly and helpful. This is one of my favorite clubs around. I have the black card membership so I get to go to a decent amount. Depending on where I am I will shoot over for workout. Very friendly staff, all the best equipment, essentially located on Telegraph and Maple.

Update: Still an awesome club! Occasionally there are shorter hours on weekends I am assuming due to COVID-19 staffing shortages.

Tim, the afternoon Shift Leader embodies the friendliness and professionalism of Planet Fitness. Tim was at the front desk to help discuss how I could use PF on my off days from Physical Therapy. He dialed right in to how the Stretch Room would be most beneficial to me after using the treadmill and recumbent bike as part of my routine. He used his phone to show that every machine has a QR code to give you information in how to use it properly. Tim showed me the elevator to the lower level with the free weight area, various machines and the 12 minute AB room. I asked him several questions about the equipment downstairs and he answered everyone with enthusiasm. I appreciated how he explained the regular cleaning policy in the facility by the staff to keep it pristine. He showed me the "Black Card" member area amenities. The massage chairs and hydro massage table are amazing. A week later, I had Tim upgrade me to the "Black Card." I want to compliment Tim on being a very good listener, extremely knowledgeable on the my fitness goals and answering my questions. Planet Fitness may be a national chain but Tim at the Bloomfield Township location makes you feel right at home.

Absolutely furious about the way my son was treated at this planet fitness location. His membership was revoked for working out in a group with his friends at the same machine! How ridiculous!!! Two of the managers numerously targeted my son as well as his friends who are all teenagers and very good kids. I cannot believe the way these two managers handled the situation and decided to revoke their memberships. If I were you I would never join this planet fitness location because of non-professional business and ridiculously rude employees/managers.

I was a member here for about 5 years and at other at planet fitness locations, over 8 years. I walked in today to reup my membership but left after talking to one of the kids at the desk. The thought of my personal safety relying on their ability to clean was enough for me to walk out. Before covid there were only a few who actually worked while “at work”. Usually the cleaning stations were empty of cleaner and paper towels and the restrooms were a mess. I am not a mask fanatic and I believe most of us have covid antibodies by now but I want a business I frequent to at least try to be clean. If you believe this place cares about cleanliness any more now than before, go ahead and join. I’m going to wait for a better option.

This location is cool because there's two levels: the cardio equipment is upstairs, and the weight lifting machines and free weights are downstairs. This PF is one of the best ones in the Detroit area, but it is slipping badly. Joined last year in September 2018. GM was super friendly always greeted everyone and kept the gym clean and smelling fresh. Kept pleasant and courteous staff. Fast forward to February 2019. Old GM is out and we get the current one Charlie. This guy is a piece of work. I have seen him in the mens locker room taking pictures of himself with his shirt off. He says nothing to the guest whether they are going or coming in. Has zero control of his almost all new staff. They all stand around at the desk 4 or 5 at a time while the gym is a mess. Paper towels left all over. Spills of the cleaner left unattended for 30 or 40 minutes. Gym now smells like all the other PFs and given the size of this in comparison to others that is saying alot. Only bright spot is Maurice. One of the few left over from the previous GM. Super friendly and always helpful. If it was not for PF being so damn cheap and this one the closest to home I would risk the others.

The first gym I just...walked in and immediately joined. I needed a place to walk around in a safe, and weatherproof area...after my dog walk with Venus....time with Nikki and Otto...but mostly I did for David....so he could workout and prepare for his runs in a different....but peaceful...and very private enviornment...where no one will ever bother him...and....only he can ask for help...no one will interfere in his own personal workout...or try to tell him anything he may not want to be involved ink

Planet Fitness is THE MOST HYPOCRITICAL business on the planet. They have no scales and want bodies covered up if they look good. WHY YOU ASK?!? Because obesity is their cash cow. They get people making resolutions or decisions to come in and lose the extra hundred pounds. They talk them into a membership KNOWING they will drop out and keep making the payments. They run those people through like an assembly line. They are doing those people more harm than good. Their obesity will kill them. Seeing their weight on a scale or seeing people who have worked to stay in shape will encourage them. They know where their cash comes from!!
