I’ve been to a number of planet fitnesses in the metro Detroit area, and this one has been far and away the best experience. The staff is great, the facility is kept very clean, and when a piece of equipment is old or not working they give it attention quickly. It’s also not too crowded. I’d highly recommend.

The only improvement I’d like to see is for them to get heavier dumbbells. I’ve been to other planet fitnesses that have them up to 75lbs and that would be a crucial improvement.

I’ve been a member for three years and was surprised when the staff presented me with a LITERAL bucket of nickels for my anniversary. The gesture felt out of touch and didn’t match my expectations for a member appreciation gift. I appreciate the friendly staff and the clean facilities, but for future anniversaries I’d prefer a practical thank-you (a discount, guest pass, branded gear, or a free personal training session). I’m leaving this review so management knows members value recognition that feels thoughtful and useful. (Not a small bucket of about 50 nickles or so.)

CONs. So many people do not clean equipment after use. Some will occupy equipment for 15+ minutes while reading/talking on cell phones. Others use equipment and don't return to its proper display.

It is essential for businesses to closely monitor and address reviews that highlight detrimental employee behavior, as this can irreparably harm their reputation over time and result in significant customer losses. Personally, I have discouraged several individuals from joining this gym due to the unpleasant interactions with Becky, which can be a significant deterrent. As a paying customer, it is reasonable to expect a respectful and courteous experience, rather than feeling harassed, mistreated, or marginalized. To ensure the long-term success of this business, I strongly advise management to consider recruiting new employees who can elevate the quality of the experience, rather than tolerating those who are indifferent to customer satisfaction. This proactive approach will ultimately benefit both the business and its clientele.

This is the worst planet fitness I have visited. All of the machines are extremely worn down. Very few accessories for cable machines. Dumbells only go to 60 lbs here when all other locations go to 75 lb. Very dirty too. No one picks up after themselves here. Plates laying all over the floor along with used paper towel.

This Planet Fitness is not the “User-Friendly Zone” They Claim to Be!

The front desk staff is amazing. They’re friendly, professional, and always happy to help. No complaints there.

However, my experience with the gym’s trainer support has been disappointing and misleading.

When I signed up 72 hours ago, I was told that as a Black Card member, I’d have access to trainers “any time” to help set goal, build a program that fits my needs.

I was assured that this was one of the *key benefits* of the membership.

What I actually received was a very different story:
“Yes, I can help; but it’s nothing against you, I only work with people in my class, people I’ve been training for a long time and have built relationships with. You’ll need to sign up on this for my classes during the times I’m available. Otherwise, I won’t help.”

So, apparently “any time” really means: “only when it works for me.”

That’s not user-friendly. And being dismissive while hiding behind a polite smile isn’t good customer service, it’s fake, it feels condescending.

This experience made me feel unwelcome and like I was being brushed off. If you promote a service, deliver on it. Don’t make promises you’re not willing to keep.

I left, and canceled my membership 15 minutes after being there. I will not give that sort of treatment my hard earned money.

Big shoutout to Darrin at Planet Fitness every time I'm in the gym, he always goes out of his way to keep it spotless. He's always cleaning, making sure the gym is in top shape. Not only does he put effort into keeping the environment intact but also makes sure that all the rules are followed, really helping to keep the place comfortable for everyone. If that is not enough, Darrin is cool and easy to talk to he puts a great vibe in the air. He makes this gym a lot better to work out in, and I really do appreciate all of his hard work!

Been going to the gym in Dearborn for over a year now. It's clean, staff is friendly, and there's plenty of space for working out. It's nice to have an escape from my IT project management work and be able to workout in a comfortable environment. Quality has even improved more when they added more squat racks. Nice gym, great staff, clean. The only prob I have is members who get on a machine, and just SIT THERE playing on their phone. Sometimes I'm in a hurry to get my workout done because I have to get to work afterwards. It's one thing if they're actually using it, but they use the machines as a lounge chair to play or talk on their phone, when there is a nice sitting area they could use instead, but don't. Very inconsiderate members. It would be helpful if they'd put up a sign that tells people, if you're not using the maching, to kindly move their azz off it so someone else can use it. I'm ready to cancel my membership over this, and go back to working out at home.

I was expecting a deal but instead I got a headache. I wrote to planet fitness to get this corrected but instead got a call from a manager yelling at me about how that deal didn't exist and "How would you like to move forward with you membership?". This was all at 9am. So they were ready to boot me for my inquiry. Club needs a renovation. Everything feels dated. I've been to a different PF location and got a very different experience. For me, it's worth driving 20 minutes to a different club, just so I don't not have to see the people at this one.

This gym is by far the cleanest location. The staff here is absolutely amazing. I do want to give a shout out to Toni at this location. I go in almost every night and she’s always working. She sometimes is alone at the desk tending to a few people at a time. Not once have I seen her look upset or annoyed. She is probably one of the hardest workers I have seen. She’s so friendly and so approachable, I never once hesitate to ask her a question. She’s so welcoming and I look forward to seeing her. This is what good customer service looks like!

Мы покупали карту за $25 в месяц, это 1+гость. Можете пользоваться и массажорами. Только один нюанс, во Флориде это входит в стоимость и владелец карты может с собой и гостя брать. А вот в Мичигане это дополнительная плата за массажеры, к сожалению. И если вы в другом штате, то гостю нужно предъявить ID.
Везде стоят антисептики и салфетки, чтоб каждый раз можно было продезинфицировать инвентарь, которым пользуетесь.
В целом очень довольна. Будьте все здоровы и в хорошей форме!
