Upgraded to a larger floor plan. It's pretty nice with 5 Smith machines now. They have 3 of the 12 new machines that they are introducing to the strength marketing concept. Pretty good overall and very much in line with the Burton. Flint and Grand Blanc locations now.

Whelp, I drove a half an hour at 5:30 in the morning to get to the gym at 6 AM and sat in the parking lot for another half an hour just for them to still not be open when they were supposed to be open at six along with plenty of other people that were waiting at the door and then had to drive another 25 minutes or so to get to the grand blanc planet fitness so that was pretty cool as well as getting multiple yearly charges for the past four months i’d say that I’m not very happy with sun and planet fitness and it started going downhill after they did the renovations

Hours always change

This gym used to be 24/7, I came back to this gym last year due to work. I saw the 24/7 sign and was so excited to see it was open 24/7. I rolled out of bed super early to hit an early morning session before work on Saturday and to my sad surprise the sign that says 24/7 actually doesn’t say 24/7. If you get closer, the “seven” actually says “five.” They make you think it says 24/7 to take your money if you aren’t paying attention. Than recently I came back to this gym remembering their 24/5 sign and I figured it’s okay since it’s close to my new jobsite. I come in friday morning and once again I get up early in the morning to hit a session before work and to my disappointment it’s not even 24/5 anymore. The lady at the desk told me it’s 24/4 now but after looking at their hours it doesn’t even look like it’s 24/4! I immediately called the ecs fitness down the road and got my membership setup within 20 minutes and got my workout done all while that planet fitness was closed… if you are an early or late gym goer, this is not the place for you

The billing was an error.
They charged me for a late fee because the computer did not use the backup method.
The lady seemed happy to hear my son and I willing to cancel both black card memberships to keep $15.
I'm not leaving because the Burton location where we go now is absolutely awesome very professional and do not act like customers are disposable.

If they care that little for business the higher management and shareholders should hear about this.
When we used to work near here it was very impersonal and cold.
At Burton any time anyone walks in the door all the employees say hi like they are glad to see you.
When I called they did nothing.
When I came in the next day the manager looked and the data and call me on Sunday.
Very unprofessional and amateur.
They are costing the company money we are going on two years of two black card memberships and the manager was willing to lose 2 accounts over $15.

Everyone raves about Fenton planet fitness so I have been coming from grand blanc to Fenton the staff here are absolutely terrible they are never consistent they are not friendly by any means more worried about taking to their fellow co workers then do a simple job. My advice is if someone signs in to tan don’t have them sign in a time slot and wait 40 mins to tell them they have to wait another 25 because of the time they tanned the day before and that should be checked before signing in after someone is done working out and wants to tan and leave but has to wait another hr is crazy to me. I will not come to this gym anymore Hartland or grand blanc is where I will go.!

It's not a very clean gym, and that's due to how busy it is and people not caring to clean machines or tanning beds. Staff is never very friendly. They always looked forced to be there, and it's a very fake greeting when you are a woman. I would STILL highly recommend the Hartland location over this one 10 out of 10 times. Prior to moving to Howell I was a member of PF Fenton before and after the remodel. I recently visited the Fenton location this past weekend. I LOVE the equipment in Fenton and the overall cleanliness of the facility but that is as far as it went with being a good visit!

Upon arriving the first thing I did was tan (this is the bad part of my visit). I signed in to tan in bed 3. The gentleman working knew bed 3 was not operating and still allowed me to go into the room. After applying my lotion and attempting to start the bed, it would not start obviously. I called the front desk with no answer, called again while attempting to get dressed only to be told by the female employee “I’m sorry he should have never allowed you in that bed, he knew it was not working and that we needed in that room.”

So my issue is! Instead of correcting his mistake or evening attempting to make it right, he laughed apologetically as I walked out, yes I was upset and yes i did raise my voice at him. But he had no common courtesy to inform my husband (who was also tanning the same time as me and signed up the same time as I did) “hey I’m sorry she actually can’t use that bed could you let her know” or to even knock on the room door to inform me that the bed was not working.

The customer service was just not there that day and it upsetting because I know that is not how PF operates.

Re writing my review cause I mentioned before how the place was small so was always jam packed. All i gotta say is wow, they redid the whole building and what can i say it looks amazing. Its even bigger than before they put in new equipment as well, new massage chairs, and new tanning beds. I love it here. I Been a member for quite a long time always had very friendly and accepting service. The staff even call me by name , and are always pleasant to speak with. Great place and is usually pretty clean! Pretty disappointed. After healing from a knee injury, I went back to the gym today for the first time in a couple of weeks. Up at 4:30, to get there by 5am giving myself a hour and a half to workout. I have to get home to get my kids ready for school because my husband leaves at 6:30 for work. Show up today, to see they have YET AGAIN changed their hours. Which would normally be “okay” however with summer coming it will make it extremely hard to get a good workout done in the morning when I only have a half hour at this point. I realize they are 24hrs for three days, but this gym used to make it easy to work out before I start my day but having it confined to the same three days makes it really hard to be flexible. Guess maybe it’s time to start looking elsewhere.

Very clean and nice. Staff is super friendly. I have a service dog who's there with me, and they've treated both of us with respect. They were able to put notes in my file on when to call and not to call 911 because of my health conditions. They have never distracted my dog or made us feel unwelcome as a team. Love this location. After being closed for two months for renovations, this PF reopened with a poor layout, old equipment, and a lack of management oversight.

Despite having an alleged 18,000 ft overhaul, this location feels smaller, with zero windows, a complete lack of equipment and weight organization, and an even smaller locker room.

Because of the tight quarters, you will constantly be bumping into other members (or kids just there to hang out?), waiting on equipment (if it isn’t waiting on repairs), trying to avoid making eye contact with members wearing inappropriate attire, or dodging rain or snow that is coming in through roof leaks (seriously, you just remodeled, how are there already leaks?!).

The amount of loitering throughout the facility, not to mention the front staff treating their job like they are hanging out with their high school friends, should be enough to tell you to turn around and head to the Grand Blanc or Hartland locations.

AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COSTS!

The staff at the Fenton PF are the BOMB! They are always super friendly, pleasant and helpful. It’s just a pleasure to go in there, mainly because the people who work there seem to actually enjoy their jobs and make you feel at home. It’s totally renovated and awesome. Soooo love the Black card SPA…I don’t love working out or moving (some days) to be honest, but… I bribe myself with time in the spa if I get my workout goals complete. I actually look forward to going to the gym because I reward myself with the awesome massage equipment and the tanning booths. There is a great supply of equipment, I come in pretty often, even when there are a lot of people there, it never feels crowded to me, I’ve certainly never had to wait for a machine. It’s spotless, new and awesome. This is my total ME time escape, put the phone down and just do things for myself that improve my mental attitude, my peace and my health… It’s a WIN, WIN. Did I mention that the staff here are fantastic? Well, they so are!

I've never used a gym before and I barely ever exercised and if I did I didn't like it or stick with it for very long, however now I go to the gym at Planet Fitness everyday and work out vigorously for an hour! I love the massage tables and chairs and I feel they are better than a full body massage by a masseuse or massage therapist. I used to pay $69 every two weeks for a full body massage at my local spa and I like going to Planet Fitness much better and the price is right!

I love planet fitness but I will say I miss the planet fitness that didn’t support “lunks”. I miss when you couldn’t wear sports bras or cut off shirts for the guys. Most girls that go here wear sports bras and booty shorts and it makes me super self conscious. They used to not allow this so I’m wondering when that changed. However The workers at this location are always super nice and helpful and it’s always clean and well maintained. Would be nice if it was a little bigger for the amount of people that come here in the afternoon. Teenagers also come in the afternoon and just stand around at machines and talk. I wish employees could supervise this and get them to move along.

This is the worst planet fitness in the area. It is way to small for the number of people who use the gym and it doesn't matter what time of the day you go. The workers are all kind and friendly but the owners need to update and expand this gym. I'm starting to hate coming here and will probably change my home gym soon. Staff is helpful and friendly. However, they only have four Smith Machines, which comprises 75% of my workout. I often have to wait. They have far too many cardio machines, so get rid of some and put in two more Smith Machines. I mentioned this to staff and they say they have contacted management, but nothing has changed.
