First time in this GYM, I’m an OTR truck driver and I use to go to many Planet Fitness across US. I usually buy a Muscle Milk Shake before I leave but in this occasion the one I got was rotten, I just turned back to the guy at front desk and showed him what’s going on with the drink and he just said that that’s something happened before to others customers. So, he told me they can’t give me my money back or let me switch drinks, so I had to thrown away my drink and not having my money back, so I think someone has to take care of this situation because people don’t have to pay for your mistakes or bad management. 😒😒😒

Went to workout a the 3681 28th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512 location and was shocked at how dirty it was , water fountain was filthy , trash bags by one of the exit doors and the machines needed to be dusted etc....... All this while 3 workers were at the front desk on there cell phones the whole time . To be honest Planet Fitness has always been a very clean gym and this really surprised me . I will go back but not to this location .

Very nice gym I had a chance to work out in on my visit to family. They were gracious enough to allow me a guest pass. The only reasons for a 4 star review are no towels (they sell them), and no machines that have cables. They have racks that have cables but no machines that do limiting the exercises. But overall a really good experience and I would go back on the next visit.

I go to planet fitness almost daily. Was at this location and as always when I workout my blood sugar dropped. I personally have seizures when my sugar drops too low too fast so I went for candy which they did not have. Was going to get a Gatorade but only had the card on file which she said she was unable to use because that was not my home gym. I explained to her about my medical need for sugar and she just said there's nothing she can do. Maybe not her problem but also extremely insensitive.

Not a big fan of life fitness brand cardio equipment. The few pieces of hammer strength and free weights keep the place useful. Staff hides at desk and doesn't correct patrons that don't wipe equipment after use or spray down equipment directly.

Update for 2025: Several pieces of plate loaded equipment have been added like seated calf press. Staff still hides at desk and actively avoids interacting with patrons. This is my choice of PF locations in the area because size, lighting, and cleanlyness/repair.

Best PF I've been to. Nice spacious layout. A lot of equipment. Seems to be kept up with cleaning and maintenance. I've been traveling for work for awhile now and visiting many facilities and this is still one of my favorites.

I had a very uncomfortable situation. I was in the Black Card Membership lounge area relaxing before My plans and had my hoodie over my head and head phones on. A woman came in and said, "Excuse me sir, there's a no sleeping policy here". I answered right away because I wasn't sleeping, I was listening to something while easing my headache. I'll never be back at this facility after that embarrassment.

And they only have 2 toilets in the mens bathroom for this "Big Establishment".

Probably not the worst PF location ever. It's very hit or miss, by it being super busy or not. It does always have a very musty, stinky smell. I stopped going here and went elsewhere because there are always people hogging the machine. I am a very quick set type of person because I have other things to do. I drive an expedite van and came to your location. I wanted to nap and and then go inside Planet Fitness to workout and shower. The mall security guard came and did not knock on my door, he beat on my door. He insisted that he had told me last week that I could not stay there. Once I advised him that I had never been to that location and never met him, he insisted that it was me. One must learn to never argue with a fool, so I just told him sir I promise you that I would have never met you as I have never been to this location previously. He said that I was trespassing. I said, so I can’t use Planet Fitness to workout and shower. He said, no! You are trespassing and need to leave immediately. I said, sir it is people like me that frequent this facility and therefore, you tenant stays and pays their rent to the mall. Thus giving you a job. Recommend that Planet Fitness should move to a customer friendly location. Never would recommend that any business to locate at this mall. However, I would recommend that every business pull out to other mall locations that appreciate your customers coming to your business and putting revenue back into your accounts by buying your services and merchandise. You will not find a bigger advocate for shopping local than myself.

Came here with a friend who has a black card, and was turned away because this location has a crazy sign-up policy for guests that requires me to give them a bunch of my info, my license, and have a photo taken.
Drove 20 minutes here for nothing.
Definitely would never sign up for a membership here, just due to that policy.

I have enjoyed going to this location over the last four years. I am in no means in shape but try to get some kind of a work out. After working out I like a hydro massage it's why I got the black card. I went to get my massage but the employee didn't add my time so I go back up and another employee gave my room to someone else (even though I had the placard) then I just settled for the massage chair that must have been broken or something. I'm short will the upper back of the massage chair is my head all it did was my massage my legs and beat my head 😒. Normally I'm very understanding of issues but seriously I go at night when it's not busy there was no one there waiting for anything else when I went for my massage. Other than that the gym is fine the women's bathroom has toilet paper and paper towels in the floor constantly but the gym equipment themselves are good for the most part.

I only go to planet fitness to take a shower after my first job. I I was bummed when I found out there would be no shower for me that day. My super Awesome managers suggested that I go for a swim🤷sooooooo. I did! Update it won't let me post the video for some reason....
Update...I just wanted to say (and I don't know much but I believe that the parking lot full of water was or could be considered by some an act of God. From what I could tell the water was from a main pipe burst and was coming from(no pun intended) the center of Center Point!😂🧐
