Absolutely disgusting locker room floors every time I go. They use so much water to clean it, that it takes forever to dry and your shoes might be soaked just walking into the locker room. You can see hair everywhere in the pools of water on the floor after it's supposedly clean.

It's clean. Has great equipment, tanning beds , total body enhancement (red light therapy) and awesome massage chairs and beds! My only complaints are that people will go into what is supposed to be a 30 minute circuit, get on the machine next to you and either use it longer than they should or use their phone and sometimes not wipe the equipment down. ( I wish they had sanitary wipes instead of sprayers and paper towels.) I wish there was a way to enforce it better.

To say Mica does a great job wouldn't suffice. I am always greeted with a smile and ' how are you doing today ' . She truly seems to enjoy interacting with the members. There are times when the gym is busy and she has to sign in members, take care of the black card options; tanning and massage chairs; and take member phone calls. She always maintains a positive attitude. There are days when it is hard to get motivated to do my workout. Mica's positive energy helps me push myself further on the dreaded stair master. It's refreshing to see someone happy doing their job!

I started going to PF because my job covers a gym membership and the black card is within the amount that it covers. This is the location nearest to me. The employees are very friendly and the gym is clean. I usually go after 8 pm since that’s when my schedule allows, but I find that during that time I don’t have a hard time using whatever equipment I need to use. I find that the black card is a good value and at this point I’d probably pay for it even if my job didn’t cover the expense. I would recommend this location!

Between June and August this location is essentially a playground. Kids everywhere standing in groups chatting around machines. Don't bother trying to get a summer workout at Planet Fitness.

I like the location, been going 4 years now, but their promo for free gym use for high schoolers during the summer makes a good workout impossible during afternoon and evening hours.

Edit: no I'm not going to call back whoever is leaving me messages asking me to change my review, the least that could be done is limiting free gym use to school hours. I spent 2 hours trying to use the ab machine last time I went, ridiculous.

I went in to pause my membership as I'll be out of town for 3-4 months. I looked up my billing date and went in to take care of it only to find out they begin the charge 7 days before your billing date and then claim they cannot stop the charge - forcing you to pay for an additional month. This is predatory at best and fraudulent at worst. Nearly every other business on the planet can figure out charges, refunds and billing dates. The idea that they don't have the ability to cancel a charge or issue a refund is nothing but stupid. There isn't any room for the benefit of the doubt with this large scale franchise corporation. They've found a borderline fraudulent way of charging people additional charges which they can get away with and they have no concern about it being malicious or fair in any way.

I spoke with Trinitie over the phone to change my credit card that was expiring. I said I could not update it on the app. She said I had to come in and sign papers. When I changed my plan several months ago, I did that over the phone and gave a credit card number then without coming in. I said if I have to make a trip in to sign papers, I was cancelling when I get there, she made no attempt to remedy the situation and said “Good”. So I made the trip in and she was not friendly, I then told her I was canceling. She again said “Good” I’ll cancel your membership. A waste of my time to make a trip in, just to change a credit card you have taken for billing over the phone.

The local Planet Fitness doesn’t disappoint especially this time of year! I love all the staff here at Plainfield Planet Fitness. Brittanie is the manager here and she is great. Shayla and Chase are great. Even the staff that I do not know the namea of are great. They always have a smile and great me warmly upon entrance.

The equipment is always clean and they have a wonderful spa room with massage chairs and tanning. I highly recommend this planet fitness as your workout home of choice.

The two guys at the front desk completely ignored me while using a day pass to check out the gym for membership. Didn’t offer a tour, or even finish their conversation when I asked to see the spa. I told team members and their response was, “we know. there’s nothing we can do about it. the girl who was supposed to take care of it just quit.”

While I can’t hold issue with staffing shortages, I do think that cleanliness should be a priority, whether short-staffed or not. I will continue to work out here as it is the cheapest option, but the cleanliness standards make me very tempted to choose a different gym.

Approach the trainer to ask a simple question. The trainer blew me off. In act like he was better than me and I felt like he was judging me on a place that was supposed to be a non-judgmental place. Went to the front desk to ask them. And they shared with me that they've been having problems with this trainer with customers as well. As staff That is not. You cannot use the weight machines because people use this as their person gym and reserve them with the weight pins and place their personal items on or around them. A water bottle. A towel. It looks empty and you can sit down adjust the pin only to be chased off being told “that’s my machine and I’m using it. I haven’t completed my set” while they have free weights in their hands. I talked to the desk. They said they’d talk to him, only it happened again in 15 minutes and I canceled my membership on the spot and wrote the necessary cancellation letter the same day. The gym is 90% empty but if you’re a small female none of that is for you. No judgment, just complete exclusion from using the gym. So although I see PF marketing for more members constantly maybe they should just make the current equipment available to their current customer base.

I left a two-star review a few months ago and updated it to a five-star because of one team member, Caleb. I had not seen Caleb before, but he greeted me and went out of his way to help me with a great attitude. They were closed for a couple of weeks to "remodel." When I came back, I asked what they did. I only noticed a railing taken down and a few more new machines. The least I expected was to see the flooring replaced and the bathrooms updated like some of the other centers. Oh well, I still cannot beat the deal and the availability of machines. The employees often only greet the customers if they have a question. One suggestion is to have Caleb train the employees or give him a raise; people like him will increase the business.

I recently returned after taking a few weeks off during November and I was really disappointed to see the "upgrades" that were implemented. The only changes I noticed were fewer stationary bikes (3 total and one is out of order?!?), and many more unused ellipticals. It also seems like they've cut the number of paper towel and sanitizer dispensers by half; each station previously housed 2 of each but now only houses 1 of each - and nearly all of them were completely empty of BOTH, which left me feeling pretty confident that no one was actually sanitizing any equipment after they used it. Seriously considering switching my membership to a different club because this is incredibly disappointing and slightly concerning!!
