Had some family issues going on, decided to take it out at the gym. First time at this location but my fiancee comes pretty often. Had a nice workout, opted into using one of the spa chairs while my mister showered. He checks me in with the guy behind the counter, the man wouldn't even give us eye contact. Once signed in, I asked, "are we all set?", he said, "if you've checked in, then go ahead". So I went to a chair, my fiancee went to shower. Well, the chair wouldn't work. After a few minutes, I went back to the counter, the guy wouldn't even talk to me. Another employee asked him what's going on, and his response was something about me being a guest member and not having a black card or something,, so he canceled it. It would've been nothing to add myself however I needed to, but this was so unnecessary. I had been holding tears the entire time due to my family situation, but no matter the situation, no one should be treated this way. The GM was apologetic, but the damage was done. I signed up at the Y. They don't have a chair, and they cost a little more, but the customer service is phenomenal!! Don't pay to be mistreated!

Saw an individual today get intimidated and bullied by a staff member or a manager that was showing around a potential new client to assert dominance. The lady who worked at the planet fitness came up to the individual while they were resting after their set was completed and told them to get off the phone when they had just started using it. Mind you that this staff member does not say anything to any of the members that are in good shape hogging 2 machines at the same time, or anything to members in good shape that are loitering around the workout area. This was an act to specifically make a domineering move to make someone uncomfortable. I ask the owner to take action and discipline this employee.

Overall, this is probably the most accessible location I've been to but, it still requires some serious creativity and inconvenience.
Grateful for the spacious shower and while the dressing room is awkwardly far from it, it is easy to get in and out of and offers plenty of space. The cold, stone bench, however, is awfully uncomfortable, especially after a shower! They also did great with putting the towel hanger at an accessible height and offering a wonderfully adjustable shower head.
However, the lack of accessible sink makes washing my face nearly impossible. Most wheelchairs aren't height adjustable so the sink being so high makes it really hard to bring water to my face.

Staff have been sweet, kind and helpful with every visit. I've gone out of my way to return to this one and likely will do again!

In all of my 50 years of going to gyms I had the worst one here. It was so traumatic that I cancelled my Planet Fitness membership and probably will never go ti Jackson itself again. A very large man came to my smith machine and asked if I was using my bench. I told him that I was. Mind you I had just got to the smith and hadnt even placed my weights on it or positioned the bench yet. He got mad and took the bench anyways. I said "what are you doing" he then threatened me. There is more to this story and the staff didnt help me and took this guys side.I asked that the manager call me and noone did. I think the universe was letting me know that people like me dont belong in Jackson.

Came in on March 1st to cancel my membership. They asked if I still had the app and I did however I didn't have my password. The lady asked for my full name then had another worker come over to make sure she did it correctly. The second worker said I was "good to go". I just looked at my bank account and I have been charged for the past 2 months even though my membership should not be active. Now I have to take time out of my day to come down and make sure they cancel this time.

Would not recommend if your looking just to tan.. it’s always 1 thing after another and beings you have to wait a full 24 hrs before u can use their tanning again my time kept getting later and later as nothing would be available for when it’d be 24 hrs for me. I’m not about to be out till 7 every night just to tan. Cancelled the membership due to all the frustration of inconvenience and the person that cancelled it cancelled it out wrong so I still can’t tan unless they use a “gym pass” but they’ve already used it for the day. So now Ive paid for the month and can’t continue to use the tanning unless they have a courtesy pass available because someone cancelled the membership wrong. I’ll be calling corporate when they open back up Monday.

The gym itself has a decent space with plenty of machines and equipment. January is always hard for gyms because of the influx of new members, but the staff keeps this place clean. New equipment just arrived too. My only “issue” is that the parking lot is too small at peak times, so be wary if you go after 5pm, you might have to park by the sos office and walk over; silver lining is its a good way to get some steps in!

I'm a planet fitness member in another state. I was in town visiting and went with family. The facility is huge, with lots of new equipment and multiple sets of equipment making it possible for several members to use at the same time without effecting others.

Love new location, just wish it had new machines like instead of Adrian Michigan hand me down machines. Adrian Location has smoother newer machines. Frfr visited for first time in almost 8 years. Honestly this isn't a good gym. I've gone to 100s across the US and this one has 15 or 20 minute waits for most machines. Too many memberships without the room to accommodate. On top of that they don't sell protien shakes here, staff recommends going elsewhere or another gym for shakes

The young lady that’s claiming to be the day shift management is very rude, non attentive and not helpful above all; without the ability of any current modern day quality customer service skills. I have working with Planet Fitness a few times over the years in Atlanta, Ga., and never in all the years have I came across the rude service I received today, which caused me to cancel my membership with Planet Fitness. I am a returning customer in a new city and this type of customer service behavior would be a turn off for any new customers who are new or new from another big city where quality customer service abilities are first and foremost important. However, I feel compelled to address a separate issue that came to my attention outside the gym's walls. Recently, I read another customer's review, which was an honest account of their experience. In response, that review received extremely inappropriate and racist comments from another individual. Such behavior is disturbing and unacceptable. It's a stark reminder of the undercurrents of racism still present in our society.

To the person who made these comments: it's important to remember that everyone has the right to voice their experiences without facing racial prejudice or derogatory remarks. Attacking someone's character or using racist language to discredit their experience is not only disrespectful but also harmful. In closing, while my personal experiences at this gym have been mostly positive, this incident has highlighted the importance of respect and empathy in all our interactions, both within and outside the gym's premises.

I am utterly appalled and infuriated by my recent encounter with an employee, Sara at the reception of this fitness center. Her behavior was beyond rude; it was disrespectful and completely unprofessional. Really enjoy this new (winter of 2022) location. Very spacious and inviting. Lots of tvs to watch, lots of cardio equipment, I do wish perhaps they utilized the south wall for more free weights as the small section they have now fills up quickly. Staff seem friendly and the place is clean. You can constantly see them running around and refilling stuff and cleaning. No complaints other than nothing makes me question my existence more than trying to wash and dry my hands there 🤣 the sensors are just no Bueno.

Very dumb the hours are limited on weekends really makes it disappointing to us black card members who travel for work. Battle Creek and Kalamazoo are 24/7, wouldn’t care so much if they at least opened at 5am and closed at midnight but instead they close for 9 hours at a time (10p-7am). As a third shifter It’s personal.

Thought this place was nice but the staff.. not so much. There is a male employee who works day shift, ginger-ish, skinny, slouches, usually wears a hat and has facial hair. Don’t know his name but I have seen him in action and he is not kind. He singles people out. For example, I watched him call out a girl in front of the whole desk area, and yell at her about a failed payment, her face was red and she left. I also witnessed him tell someone they cannot wear slides as shoes, but he did not say anything else to other members who were wearing slides that same day/time. Another time, he told a girl she cannot wear a certain tank top, but my friend who is the same size wears a similar tank top and nothing has been said to her. He is never nice to me either, no matter how many times I greet him or tell him to have a nice day, the same angry expression on his face never changes. He is the reason I and a few of my friends have stopped coming here. Sad to see employees so miserable.

Clean facility, very spacious for the amount of equipment you have in there, no machines were broken. It's not busy during the day on a Friday. We did not use the tanning or massage just work out. Bathroom is clean, a little dark inside due to the black painted ceiling.
Parking lot is extremely large you can get your RV or tractor trailer in there. But the area is in a rundown part of the community so don't leave any valuables inside your vehicle.

Every time we go to tan the beds r broken, the bulbs r out, equipment is dirty not wiped off. Staff is rude acts like your inconvenience to them.

Joined a few months ago. Visit almost daily. Everyone who works here is amazing. The members are amazing as well. They hold true to the "Judgement free zone." Everyone seems so happy in this establishment. Lots of things to do here, my only suggestion would be possibly add some more tanning beds (lay down) and extend the parking lot. Thank you Wisner location for a safe, pleasurable place to exercise!
