Staff usually seem nice, it appears clean, all the things. HOWEVER, it can't be 5 star from me because I think the 24/5 sign is deceiving. Its really more like 24/4. If i am trying to plan times to get there over the weekend, I have to try and get there before 10 on Friday, Sat, and Sun. Period. Be on all 3 of those days, they shut the doors at 10pm. And if were being honest, its more like 8:30 or 9 that you would have to find the time to get there because you have to have time to actally do the workout, use the spa perks, etc., before they close doors at 10pm. Regardless of you guys opening back up at 5 am or whatever time, the point is, the weekends are the times that a lot of parents, like myself, dont have windows of opportunity to take the alone time needed to get there. But once all the kids are in bed, I would love to use my extra time that I could be sleeping, going to the gym rather than doom scrolling lol. I dont know, im honestly just frustrated that its not 24/7 as such a well known, nation wide gym. Furthermore, like I said, its still advertised as if 5 nights out of 7, I can go anytime. And again, thats just not true. So saying you are 24/5, makes me feel like I am being gaslighted. So suggestion, either change your sign to 24/4 and just be totally honest, or help out some of the fine people of the community with some jobs to maintain a 24/7 facility. Or at least a TRUE 24/5 one :) thanks for reading

The equipment shows visible signs of wear and would benefit from reupholstering and general maintenance. Additionally, evening workouts are sometimes delayed due to an increased number of teens using the gym through the Summer Pass Program, which runs from June through the end of August.

When I spoke with the manager, she mentioned the Summer Pass Program—that’s how I became aware of it. She also noted that only one person is responsible for maintaining the equipment.

I went today to find out about a membership and what the hours of operation were and even though the young man was knowledgeable about both, he was not very welcoming. I felt like I was being judged from the minute I walked up to the counter to the time I left. I am disappointed because I used to be a member years ago in Indiana and was looking forward to joining but your slogan is misleading as far as being judgement free. I guess I will just buy some weights and work out at home where I’m the only judge of my body.

Too many new people on trials or bumped up to black card for a month trial. For regulars using the black card area there are way longer waits and almost always brocken down equipment. Makes it hard to justify paying for a black card membership at this location when black card subscriptions are handed out to everyone on a regular basis.

I called today to make sure if I went into the women’s locker room to shower and use the bathroom that biological women are only allowed. This is not the case. Males that identify as female are allowed to use the women’s facilities. This is messed up. Mothers, please let your daughters know! I will be looking for another gym.

This planet Fitness is one of the nicest I've been in. More equipment then others newer equipment, updated large changing area i switched from Mt. Pleasant. And the staff is are very nice and helpful they are there for YOU, not to just socialize with each other like some other places.

Used to be a member here for years, the gym was just average but was a great value, however, due to the ridiculous decision to not be 24/7 anymore it's not possible to rate this average gym anything above 2 or 3 out of 5. If they went back to actually being 24/7 like they're supposed to be and absolute should be, easy 5 star gym because of convenience, price, and constant availability.

PLENTY of space and equipment even when it's busy. I've never had to wait for a machine. Great amenities. Massage chairs, red light therapy, tanning, and they have a refrigerator case full of sports drinks, protein shakes, and water. Lockers are free to put your own lock on.

It's a planet fitness. It's clean, uniform and generally if a machine breaks they have it fixed in a decent time.

My gripe is the staff does not enforce policy very well, if at all. The number of times people just drop machine weights is not great. The amount of times I've seen folks throw balls around for fun; crowd around a machine and talk for a while; or just disrupt the space by doing unsafe things, is not conducive to a great experience.
If you can get there when it's mostly the serious crowd, it's a fine experience.

Diverse enough equipment that I do not need to use free weights. Started going here at my wife's and physical therapist's recommendation. I resolved the tail end of an arm injury going here. I could not lift my arm past my shoulder. After getting X-rays and 6 months of therapy. My arm popped while working out. Been great since. Genuinely grateful to have an affordable workout facility.

It was my first time ever going to a gym and It was ok experience. The environment and feel is what I expect lot of equipment to target any area you want however being a new member I was kinda hoping someone would have showed me around on my first day kinda show me the layout none the less I have kinda fallen into a routine and now enjoy going very clean and sanitary I feel it's organized fairly well I can't wait to see what the future brings

Have came several times at nite an had to wait for a staff member for 15-20-25 minutes, once was just shy of 30 minutes. With every time searching for them with no success (Even pushing the call button on the walkie talkie). Having to wait 30 minutes at nite when all the tanning rooms are empty to tan for 9 minutes, kinda ridiculous. Tonight go there to tan, cpl staff members were present. The one hands me #4, I go inside get lotion on and #4 doesn't turn on. Clothes back on go back to front desk and the other staff member states oh #4 is broke, sorry I put you on#1. Your all set now, I Go into #1, and......... Will not turn on, will not do anything. I seriously thought I was being punkd. Needless to say I'm not in the mood to tan now.

I wanted to see what Planet Fitness has to offer, and was pleasantly surprised. The young man who walked me thru was very friendly and knowledgeable.

My wife and I stopped by today to inquire about a membership as I recently retired and we both want to get healthier. It was like pulling hen's teeth trying to get any information from the young man at the desk. Not only did he act disinterested but answered our questions in such a condesending manner indicating we were unimportant to him. In fact, he made the statement "Well, buy a membership and THEN I'll show you around" when my wife asked him if he could tell us about the equipment and programs. To make matters worse, while we were still talking to him, he turned his back on us and walked away to help another customer on the other side of the desk. A young lady named Jillyan noticed this and at least tried to explain the memberships to us when the rude young man walked away. Don't worry about a membership with your company, It will never happen now. We'll buy our own equipment to add to what we already have, thank you. Whomever this kid is...he needs another line of work that will appreciate his arrogance, condesending tone and manner, lack of people skills, and his sheer ignorance of customer service skills. We walked away before we even got any decent answers because at that point we were just over it. Do better.

I love Planet Fitness! I've been to many, but they aren't all as nice as this one. From the friendly staff, to the clean bathrooms and locker rooms. The gym itself is massive which allows for privacy while working out. You don't have to touch the paper towel dispenser and even the soap in the bathroom is nice. Having been to Planet Fitness all over the country, this is by far my favorite.

I only used the gym for one month, since I don't live in Midland, I only live here for the summer. However, my experience here was good. People here were always polite & friendly, along with the staff. I've witnessed the staff helping many visitors, explaining how to use equipment and giving them examples. I came here 4 times a week, every week throughout the month of June and I loved it. As a teenager struggling with being overweight, I am very thankful for the summer pass and I hope Planet Fitness continues doing this in the years to come! :)

Horrible experience. I cancelled my membership two months ago, and they charged be 50$. I only did monthly, never annual and was still charged both. I called to get my refund since I cancelled and apparently was never cancelled. Won’t get my refund back. I was laughed at on the phone. Since I paid, I asked to see if I could use the facility, and only can until the 16th. Will never be recommending this place.

Nothing short of an amazing gym! I don’t like traditional gyms because of the “judgy” atmosphere, and that is what sets Planet Fitness apart from the rest. Plus, the use of the personal trainer is worth the price of the membership alone! I’ve never been a member at a gym before, and Planet Fitness is a great start for beginners like me. The space is also brand new. Very clean!

Everyone is WELCOME & Joe couldn't be a better trainer to get you started to achieve your goals - whether they are to become super-fit, run a marathon, gain some self-confidence, or just be able to walk up the stairs without being "winded" anymore! The girl working the desk was not friendly or helpful. They've recently moved locations and changed equipment I had to repeatedly ask for assistance and the responses I got from her were short and she seemed annoyed that I was taking away from her phone time. This was after I explained that this was my 1st time at the new location and wasn't familiar with the layout or new equipment. Also some of the leg and buns machines were in with the abs and stretching and that wasn't labeled... the machines were all a bit scattered instead of grouped with similar machines for ease of finding them. Wasn't terrible but definitely not impressive either.
