I came in from out of town and had an amazing experience at this Planet Fitness. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely went above and beyond. My car broke down in the parking lot and they even coordinated with the tow truck driver after I left—super appreciative of that level of kindness.

They also gave me a free day pass, which was awesome. The facility itself is spotless: super clean machines, great tanning options, spa chairs, and the showers were in excellent condition. The girl at the front desk was especially amazing—super welcoming and professional.

Overall, this location is top-tier. Even their monthly memberships are way more affordable than what I pay back home in Toronto. Highly recommend!

Nice gym and the majority of staff is super nice. However, for a gym that posts the no judgement/ego environment, it’s unfortunate to feel the most of this energy consistently comes from some of the staff members. Patrons should not be subjects of your gossip sessions.

#1 I've been working out for over 33 years and I will not go anywhere to train but here with Josh the Trainer.
He's so Knowledgeable & Respectful.
What I love about him if you're doing something wrong he's there correcting you so you don't hurt yourself and you do it right. Seriously since working out in the group sessions with Josh I've seen tremendous results 💪🏋️‍♀️Thanks to Josh.
Honestly people come out and see what I'm talking about!

If you ask me to leave a review any other day I would give this location 5 stars… but today I had one of the worst experiences at the Adelle Center. While I was on the treadmill, a staff member started vacuuming directly underneath me, nearly causing me to fall. When I asked him to stop, he moved down then recorded me on Snapchat. This was not only unsafe but a clear violation of my privacy according to all of the signage posted around the gym. I reported it to the manager on duty she was kind and apologetic but the damage is done. I transferred to this location because of a better experience, but I’ve never been disrespected or recorded like this at any other gym. This does not feel like a safe, judgment free environment. I’m beyond disappointed and seriously considering canceling my membership or transferring back. I would rather make an inconvenient drive than be recorded on a treadmill because I called out unsafe behavior.

Get rid of teens for free summers. Another option would be to limit them to non-peak hours. I like the facility, I like how quick and easy it is, but as a paying customer I have not been able to use the equipment I needed the last two visits. Sadly, I will be cancelling my membership.

Tanning beds are not as strong as they are in Commerce location! Commerce planet fitness has been the only planet fitness where I don't have a problem getting and maintaining my tan. I've been coming to this location for about 3 months now and it's OK. Most of the staff is nice, although when I first started coming here, I didn't notice they closed early on weekends and the manager or whatever was very rude yelling at me that they closed at 10. Otherwise I've had pretty good experiences with cleanliness and friendliness. I really wish and hope they update their tanning beds or something. I'm not sure why the beds are so much better at Commerce but they are updating at Commerce and they were better than Novi before the update so hoping this location gets to update soon as well. I've also visited the Novi location on Beck rd and the one in Plymouth and Waterford and so far, Commerce planet fitness has the best tanning that I've found. Would love to not have to drive so far to commerce since I'm in South Lyon/Novi area but... yea.... so... tanning around here for ya

The facility is great, the staff is very friendly and rember who i am when my son and I come in. In general the public is good here. But there are people who exhibit unsafe acts that could harm themselves with the weights and actions the are performing. The only real complaint is people that sit on their phone surfing between sets for way longer than the rest you need between sets. I have almost finish a whole split for my day and a person is still on the same equipment. Have some courtesy for other getting in doing work and moving weight.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. The front desk staff is welcoming and efficient. The whole facility is very clean and tidy. I upgraded to the black membership and it’s nice to add a 10 min hydro massage or chair massage after a workout. For $25/month you can’t beat the price for the amenities you receive!

What’s up with the eye protection shakedown at the counter? Am I 12 years old again? I understand and appreciate the reminder, but demanding to actually see proof that I physically have them in hands after I’ve told you that I do… that’s right down insulting and demeaning. I brought this to the managers attention at the time of the occurrence and she replied quite smuggly “… I like to know that MY members are protected.” Well, I’m not HER member. I am gladly a member of Planet Fitness, which is a great operation that I frequently recommend. However, this apparent manager would be an exception. Not because of what she said, but because she brings her most obvious controlling and arrogant demeanor to work with her. The rest of the staff here is A-1, and the facility is very well kept and organized, but it comes at the cost of having to deal with a self-centered delusional manager on occasion.

I’ve gone to gyms for the majority of my adult life and I have to say this particular location is exceptionally clean with a large amount of cardio equipment and weight options. If anything breaks down it is usually fixed in a short period of time.
The staff always greets you when you come in and you are always told to have a good day when you leave. If I ever have a concern I always bring to the attention of a staff member who takes care of it immediately. A special shout out to Josh who always goes above beyond and never seems to have a bad day!

I’ve been coming to this gym for about 6 years now and I have zero complaints! I’m there super early in the morning but always get greeted somewhere in the gym by the worker. Planet fitness, Novi is a new construction has been there for more than a year. Gym trainer Sheyanne is very proficient in training and fitness. She has lot of patience and really helped me working towards goal. Sheyanne made me work through bands, TRX and ropes and helped me explore new ways of doing exercise. This is really good place, well maintained Gym. Very spacious as well. 5/5 for the Gym trainer.

For 8 years, I have been going to planet fitness all over the country and never once had a single problem. This one yelled at me every single day the second i went above a walk on the treadmill. This a horrible and hostile environment that I recommend you avoid at all costs. Only go here if you plan to be reprimanded just for working out and told to stop exercising.

I had the worse experience ever with the trainer Chainne. She’s the only one who does the classes and she’s so rude. Always have an attitude and late for the class. I came to the class tonight and she pretend she didn’t see me and she didn’t know about the class. She didn’t show up and when I tried to ask for her twice she came and she was upset and literally asked me to go somewhere else. I asked to talk to manager and she said she’s the only one available tonight. She’s unprofessional to be in such a position how come there is no manager on duty from 6 PM until the next day?
I love this gym and I want to come again, but not with such a rude, unprofessional people. I hope someone can address this problem properly.

Absolutely the best location 100%. Staff are extremely helpful, upbeat, and really do their best to not keep people waiting. The facilities are always clean with a member of staff constantly making sure supplies are stocked. This location is also bigger than others boasting a 2nd floor area with an elevator for access. To top it all off they have a wide range of tanning beds that are also well maintained.

Weird. Went in and had to take care of some paperwork with the manager, but noticed that multiple people also had similar issues with me. Spoke to another gentleman and we noticed that some people on the staff seem to have something towards black people as there are new rules being imposed, but seemingly against one demographic. Just gonna pay my bill then cancel. Hopefully LifeTime (my normal gym) will yield better results.
