The staff at this location baffles me. They are beyond rude, specifically this one male. They act like children laughing in your face when you check in and judge you hardcore. I thought planet fitness was supposed to be a judgement free zone. I’m from out of town and my normal planet fitness would never ever treat people like this. They need to hire some better workers. I also had one encounter where this man at the front desk asked my 14 year old brother for an ID in order to be a guest. No other gym ever does this. I find this place rediculous so I would rather go to the one in Shelby! They are much nicer.

As a mail carrier (in full uniform) I went in to ask if I could use the bathroom. The lady at the desk stated that I had to sign in. It was odd but I said okay. Then she stated that I had to have an ID. I asked again "to use the bathroom?" and she replied with yes. So, for all mail carriers, you have to sign in and have your license in order to use the bathroom at this location. As someone who works outside all day, we don't have the luxury to travel back to the post office to use the bathroom. It's disheartening, especially since I have a current Planet Fitness membership. Guess I will be canceling it, now.

This is a nice gym. The morning staff Nina&Kate are wonderful. They work hard to keep the gym clean and orderly. The equipment is excellent. Some of the gym users have difficulty following rules like cleaning equipment after use and staying off their phones while sitting on equipment and not exercising. The gym is excellent, and most of the patrons are good people who want to get a good workout.

It’s been a privilege being a member at Planet Fitness.In my experience has not been nothing but but positive,And that’s because of the incredible team you have assembled.I direct this comment towards the owner of the gym.Being that I’m Law Enforcement,It’s my job too conduct observation 24 hours a day 7 days a week.I love my job and being that I have a job dealing with the public,It takes a special type of person to remain professional under normal and abnormal situations unexpectedly.So I pledge that if your employees are on there feet every day,Making sure you look good as a business owner of a reputable franchise,In fairness I feel they shouldn’t have to to stand behind a desk all day from the time they clock in till the time they clock out.As a observant person I notice every time in your establishment.In order to keep Planet Fitness up to power by your staff,They have to have a moment off there feet with a few chairs behind the counter.This is a small request which I’m sure they would appreciate it.And still be effective behind the desk when greeting the customers.I wouldn’t want you to lose great employees due to posture issues and now they have to be off work to recover just a small be humane suggestion for a better day and experience for your workplace.

I have been the member for 3 years but I had to cancel my membership because Im moving to a small town that they do not have planet fitness. I cancelled only 2 days after they charged the annual fee for the next year. Nobody informed me about the fee that I have to pay for 1 whole year that I am not even a member. They told me to contact the customer service. The customer service agreed to refund me if the “club manager” agreed!!!! The club manager did not agree and said you should have known! even all of other staff did not know about it and nobody informed me!!!

Location is very clean and affordable. However, I pray this location gets MAG grip attachments. It’s unfortunate that customers can’t bring their own attachments. My main two exercises for back days are the cable lat pulldown and cable row. I’ve developed calluses with the current attachments I’ve been using. I hope someone from PF reads this comment so they may consider implementing these / more attachments to the gym.

Too many problems with their wifi and that location has bad reception even with the best
5 g network.
They need to progress on their maintenance especially on their tanning beds, bulbs need to be replaced.
Bluetooth does not work on some tanning units and they don't even check if the beds or stand ups are cleaned. Also their massage chair broke and has been broken for a good minute..

Highly recommend this Planet Fitness club my wife and I travel on business throughout the 48 states so we don't have the luxury of going home to take a shower I've been to hundreds if not thousands of Planet Fitness throughout the country this happens to be one of the most nicest and up to date with all the equipment I've never seen so many massage chairs the new ones in one place staff is friendly and clean five stars all the way if there's a contest for the best club of the year I would vote for this one

This location on my way home from work and easier to get to then having to get off the freeway and go to the one at 23 before heading back to Romeo. My first time here yesterday and I was immediately impressed. The staff was very warm and welcoming took the time to explain how to use the angel machine because it had been some time since I used it prior. This gym was very clean. The garbage’s were empty and I felt like the whole overall appearance of it was very clean. I love that the massage area and tanning areas had like a separate whole spa like feel area of the gym.

Have been to multiple PFs and this is by far the best one. The staff is very friendly, personal, and they keep the place VERY clean. The other "regulars" in the gym are also very nice! I feel at home at this planet fitness--ignore any negative stereotypes of the "brand" and make this your gym, you will not regret it! The machines are updated, the floor never feels crammed, and their relaxing lobby is amazing!

We normally use the PF at Hall Road. I found this establishment extremely rude. Why did they check our phone number and said the scanner was broke when clearly they let other gym members go right on in?? I asked if there was an issue with our membership and didn’t get a response. Even though this one is closer to our house, we will be going back to Hall Road. The staff at that one is much nicer.

I joined PF Sterling Hts location since January 2023 and I have nothing but amazing things to say. This location is SO CLEAN!! ALL THE STAFF is Super Nice and Helpful and Kind. Someone is always cleaning!!!
SARAH is the Fitness Trainer / WOW!!! She is above amazing, very knowledgeable and patient to keep teaching you the correct way to work out.
Afsana and Nick are also very nice and helpful
The classes are perfect for what I need and many times I work out one on one with Sarah - that’s personal trainer for such an affordable monthly price !!!!
I am very thankful and blessed to be able to work out at this gym and specifically this location.

The workers on weekends specifically a young girl with short hair have been turning off the fans 2 hours before they close. If you’re cold, wear a jacket. You’re not the one working out, the customers are. It’s already hot enough in this gym compared to the others. The workers here think their job is a game. One girl laughs extremely loud you can hear her whether you have headphones in or not. Other employees just stare too much. It’s almost uncomfortable working out at this location

DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION ON RYAN RD. Management is NOT on the same page as far as sign up options. I am a 69 year old who is not comfortable giving my bank routing number and checking account number out, especially not publicly. I called up to the planet fitness on Ryan Rd to save myself the waste of a trip and when I spoke with Mike, (one of the managers) he Informed me there’s an “old school” way of signing up where I didn’t need to give out my account information. All I needed to do was come to the facility. I go up to the gym speak with Mike and then Eli (another manager) comes over to inform me I cannot sign up unless I have a bank account. They try to reassure me no-one will see my personal info but, it’s still stored in the system and corporate can access it. So, it turns out not only was this a waste of a trip but, a waste of my time as well. I personally think that’s discriminatory and ridiculous to refuse a membership unless they are willing to give up their banking info. I’m not talking about your card number, they want your routing and checking account information. Eli then suggests that I open a bank account just to have a gym membership. It felt like a suggestion of fraud and a full on SCAM. No thank you
I would suggest YOU READ THIS THOROUGHLY before wasting your time, energy and money. I will be going elsewhere.
