I relocated and called to have my membership transferred to a closer location. I was told they'll transfer it when they can. That is the most unprofessional response to give a paying customer. I was told it would be transferred to the new location by Saturday and it never happened. Yet, I spoke to the general manager at the other location and I was instantly met with solutions.

Just didn't vibe with this place. I'm glad I didn't grab a membership. I'm not the guy that needs to be catered to by any means, but I do expect professionalism and a bit of enthusiasm. When I arrived I intended to walk out with a membership. When I approached the desk, I was greeted in a way that indicated that I may have been an annoyance. When I inquired about the membership options, I was handed a menu, and the staff member kind of left it at that, as if I was supposed to know what I was looking at. The prices of the plans were scratches off because they had changed, yet they couldn't replace them with the new pricing. As i asked questions the conversation continued in this "disregarding" manner. So I thanked her for her time handed back her menu, drove to LA Fitness 2 miles away, and grabbed (2) 18-month prepaid plans for my beautiful wife and I. Completely different reception experience. I would say the difference was professionalism and preparation.

I'd still recommend checking this gym out, I'm certain your experience will be better than mine. Maybe I caught them on a bad day or maybe its me.

I've been going here over ten years. I really love this new update! There are more women's bathrooms, lockers etc. I think the only thing I wish for is maybe one more exercise bench in the free weight area. That is hard to come by in any gym really. I think some stuff is missing since the remodel but it will be replaced over time. Staff is always friendly. It's a nice place!

While I was anxious to return to my home PF after visiting a few others during their remodel, it was worth the wait! I was impressed with the quality of the work ( it even has that new gym smelI) lol.

I also have to say I genuinely missed the exceptional staff. I know dealing with the public may at times be challenging, yet in my experience the staff here are literally what makes this location a hidden gem!

Furthermore I am very happy to call this location my home spot and I look forward to being a part of this PF location for years to come.

The staff at this location is absolutely the best. Amora, RJ, Chris, and my new friend Kiev are absolutely some of the best people I’ve ever met. This location is lucky to have them and after 10 months at the gym working out about 4 times a week with my son, I haven’t lost a pound and I couldn’t be happier. Lol, true but I am much healthier than 10 months ago. Made many friends here but the staff (my gym family) always makes my day when I see and talk with them. Wouldn’t ever change locations or gyms. The Best!

I like that they have the Treadmills and ellipticals all in one room like area away from the weightlifting area and they should find a way to put the stair master in there too cause it’s up by the front door cause you need that space to lock in too much walking and moving around kinda distracting but overall it’s cool pretty big place nice staff.

I was walking in and Kim and RJ was going above and beyond for this client who needed translation services on the phone.🙂 They were using their phones and asking for support from others patrons nicely and politely. I asked to help them and they were really nice to me because I was able to help them figure out a little what the lady wanted. They have great energy and really went out of their way to make the lady who didn't know the language feel supported. They really fought the language barrier as hard as they could. They even offered me a complimentary reward too. They are some good people. Ohhh and when my phone went dead they let me use their cord. It's the little things that matter. #attitudeofgratitude

Visited the Warren location since my usual PF currently has a broken Total Body Enhancement machine, and also closes at 10 PM on Friday like most locations.

The 11 mile Warren location is a true old school location. It's 24/7, and a lot of the equipment seems older. It's a massive facility, but the equipment is nicely organized and separated into zones that feel like separate rooms.

The locker room has an insane number of lockers and not enough seats or shelf space, in line with the no-frills cost avoidance of PF in its early days. There are lots of curtained shower stalls that get a nice flexibility of water temperature. It's a great place for a shower if you're picky about the temperature. The soap dispensers use hand cranks and are not automatic, which makes me think they've been in there a long time.

Being a true 24/7 location almost guaranteed a five-star rating, but the gym is also clean, well-staffed, well-equipped, and with a friendly vibe. A bit lower tech than some newer locations, but it has everything you need.

Not the best location. Everything you need and not a bad location. The layout is not great. They should invest in additional space upstairs. I read that the place is not clean which is not true. It is very clean. Staff is excellent. The General Manager is great and RJ is the freaking man. The staff always goes above and beyond to provide excellent experience. I have been a loyal customer there and have worked out there since 2015. This year I refuse to go back to that place until they clean that place up. The locker rooms are disgusting and smell. They always run out of paper towel to wipe the equipment down and saw a roach roaming the floor. The owner needs to hire some motivated employees to actually clean. It's atrocious.

My account got cancelled because I previously had an account that was over due, $100 or so that's what I understood from the younger kid who cancelled my current and previous account, but that's really not the point for this review.
I thought I had cancelled my previous account but apparently I did not, no big deal, I went to the front desk and asked how I can fix my current account and pay up, instead my account was cancelled and was told to kick rocks until I pay up the $100 I owe.

A few years back I worked at a front desk at a LA fitness, the one in Gratiot, I don't go there because this gym is literally 2 minutes from my house. This review isn't about me not wanting to pay wich I would have but I was never given the chance. First off the younger guy with the glasses did not speak loudly enough or even made eye contact, It was extremely hard for me to understand what he was saying, on top of that he not once even looked at me in the eye. Not very professional. Also, he said that I can't work out there unless I paid for my tab, and I don't usually bring my wallet to the gym, ever. The guy never gave me chance to even work out for the day and also cancel my current membership... That's laughable because 1. Why pay for a membership that's old when you cancelled the one that I currently have. Cool.
By all means I'm not hurt, rather I am in shocked on how a place that's judgement free zone can treat people like a number, it's all good, I'll just go to the gym thats a bit far and it's also 24/7 and also NO ANNUAL FEES.
People go to the gym not the get drunk, high or to mingle around, when I worked at LA fitness I realized that people not only go there for better looks physically, some people go there to grow mentally, some people go there to escape bullying, or simply because it makes them feel better, alot of elder people go there to be able to function, I also know that some people go through hardships, divorce, job loss or physical trauma, not me, but, imagine me being in the position where my metal health depended on going to the gym, imagine if I was just a kid wanting to escape from bullying, or someone who's going through depression.
I think that the kid with the glasses on can't speak loud enough should get better training, but I highly doubt that'll happen, so Planet Fitness, I stead of spending big bucks on television ads I think you guys should do better at training and hiring better people especially at the front desk. Because had it been me making a decision to turn a member over $100 I would have given the member a deadline to pay, a way to negotiate, and perhaps allow the member to at least work out for the day, not just turn him around and tell him to kick rocks, I would have paid for the balance no problem, but 1. The gym could be in better shape, 2. The kid could've done a far better job, and I'm assuming he's the "manager" due to the fact that he's able to cancel a membership. 3. The parking lot has craters. 4. I can see that this location atleast treats their members as numbers. Do better, train better and hire better. And also please, make eye contact and speak louder. Again, this isn't about the money (on my end) but you can't run a business without also understanding that some people go through life different than others, you can run a business without building relationships with people. Do better. And please, no need to reply to my review, I'm already at another gym.

Planet fitness is a big scam, they make it so hard to end your membership, I moved away from the area and tried to go on the website to end my membership, they took that option off the website, and when I contacted them they told me I have to send a certified letter to them or go to the physical planet fitness I signed at, keep telling them I moved out of the area smh, and they keep taking the money straight out of my bank account each month because u have to sign up by giving them your bank routing information, shouldn't be this hard to cancel

All stand up tanning booths have broken fans! Have told manager and staff for months! It’s an absolute oven in there with inoperable fans. Months!! Not a few days. Piss poor management. Contacting corporate and BBB! Unsafe and beyond ridiculous!! On top of that, after years with planet fitness, Calvin is the ONLY staff member at multiple locations for YEARS, to ever tell me to put my email address on sign in sheet! When I scan in, there is my information, there is no need to sign in, and write my entire email address to use black card. I would say a complete bias.

The facility is clean, and most of the staff are friendly, but my experience with one representative ruined my overall impression. On 11/17/2024, I was treated unprofessionally by a staff member, who I later heard is named Trinity. She loudly discussed my account issues in front of others, dismissed my concerns, and claimed a manager wouldn’t do anything except waive late fees. This was embarrassing and disrespectful, especially after I made multiple attempts to resolve the issue with no follow-up from leadership.

This shows that one horrible experience can outweigh five good ones. Please train your staff to lower their voices when discussing private account matters, listen to customers, and provide accurate information. Leadership should also follow up on unresolved issues. Until then, I can’t recommend this location.

Was welcomed in as a guest with my daughter... I purchased a 9$ single one time use tanning lotion they had no problem taking my money for it mind you 9$ is alot now a days! Then they let me work out as well as go into the hydro jet beds! I go to sign in for the tanning booth and they then inform me it's for members only not their guest.. ok so youhad no problem taking my money knowing I was a GUEST but I can't use the lotioni bought at their establishment because I wasn't allowed inthe tanning booth... but was allowed to go inthe hydro jet bed? I love my home gym and that there is also gym right on my way home from work 😉😁 I love the tanning beds, they get new bulbs regularly. I work out 1-3 times a week and the equipment is very easy to use.......

This planet fitness is actually quite large which wouldn't look that way from the outside. Inside it goes very far back and has plenty of equipment and space to get what you need. It worked out perfectly for me having an appointment on the east side being right off the freeway.

Judgement Free, 24/7 Staffed Hours, a lot of various equipment to use, hydro massage, tanning, Total Body Enhancement with the vibration plate! Classes available to take and trainer :)) I’m slowly working towards using different equipment and trying classes available as well as learning the App too. Love being able to use any Planet Fitness Clubs! The staff is great, greeting you when you arrive and leave as well :) which does make me want to come back!
The club is clean and members seem to follow the cleaning equipment rules which is so important when working out.

Today I was told I was not allowed to workout for dress code . I was wearing a mens tank top that isnt even a stringer that I thought werent allowed. When I looked up the dress code there is no mention on this type of tank top being prohibited OR stringers. The policy even states crop tops are allowed. Really disappointed in planet fitness. Went to cancel my membership today, was told that I'll still be charged the $49 annual fee in a few days since I canceled my membership less than a week before the annual fee date (mind you my normal billing date is the 17th). Tired of this location. Will be going to 12 & VD from now on. Front bathroom hasn't been usable in months. Men's bathroom is constantly either not clean, or broke. And the craters in the parking lot continue to get worse. And Monday morning was the last straw, Closed. Buh bye.
