I trained here while road tripping through Michigan, great gym, great staff, great one-time fee, everything you need for an amazing workout instead of working out in a hotel gym. Definitely love this place. Thanks again!

Woah!! Was that the owner or what? But that was incredibly rude. You'd think people would understand to be careful in front setting/customer service based positions considering the erea we live in. I couldn't conceive of doing that in a front and center situation.

VERY old school, equipment is dated but well maintained. Only a few pads had some small tears which is surprising considering it is all older Icarian stuff. All the units I used functioned extremely smooth. Staff were very courteous and responsive.

Exceptionally accommodating - front desk gave us a reasonably priced 1-week pass and was kind enough to find me a phone charger when my battery died. Such a refresher in the world of annual fees, unbreakable contracts, and hidden fees of commercial gyms. Has everything you need to get a good lift in. Highly recommend!

This place is a dump, but it's the only gym in town. The equipment is old and not cared for, the locker room smells, and the layout is disorganized. It's obvious that the owners do not reinvest into the business.
Beware of the parking!!! The potholes will swallow a small vehicle.

Love the selection of free weights and equipment. I just wanted update my experience coming to this Powerhouse gym. I absolutely love this place and highly recommend it to anyone. That have an amazing group of people here and are always more than helpful. I always seen the trainers working with there groups and that was awesome. It sad to have to go but I would definitely come back again

A great place to workout. It's always very well maintained.The equipment is up to date. They have lots of classes for aerobics, and lots off attend. Male or female, it's a fun place and good place to get healthy and in good shape.

It is a nice gym for a smaller town. Lots of free weights which give you many options for lifting. There is a lot of equipment packed into a small space. Not much room to move around. Nice to have Sauna and courts. Also, tanning if you are in to that. Overall, a nice little gym.

I just started going to this gym about a month ago. So far, it's a very welcoming atmosphere. Everyone just does their own thing and will help if you approach with questions. I appreciate that nobody puts anyone else down. The equipment is clean and most machines have how to pictures. Overall I really enjoy gym day and would highly recommend to anyone looking to make fitness a part of their lifestyle.

When I asked about the old relic pedals on the spin bikes was answered with a sarcastic remark and told if another gym in town has updated bikes maybe I should go there. I dont get this town? I guess you have to be in their click. I love the ole gym anyway,just stay away from the old ataff,som of them have been there too long not to have a proper answer for a customer.

Passing thru Gaylord and I needed a gym. I called Powerhouse and spoke with Susan who told me of the ultra cheap day rate.

Next morning I turned up and met Dan who got me signed in and showed me the whole place.

It was well equipped and clean, the other customers were friendly and polite and get this, the coffee is free!

Seriously, Powerhouse is a family business in a world of Globo Gyms and CrossFit Boxes. It is obvious that they take pride in creating a welcoming environment, care about the quality of work that they do, and believe in a community effort.

A reasonably well equipped, old school gym. The gym offers a complete free weight room (one of the few in the area), with a substantial set of dumbbells, racks, benches and barbells.

There is a decent size cardio area with treadmills, bikes, elliptical, and even a couple (somewhat dated) concept rowers.

They also offer a fairly complete section of weight machines.

The locker rooms are generally clean, though during peak times it may be difficult to find a locker. Additionally, the free weight room can be very crowded at times, but people are usually respectful of each other’s routines.
