The staff specifically the girls staff are super rude each time I want to speak to a manager they don’t transfer me. They don’t respect the members. All what they want is only money. Always there is hidden payments and hidden rules. The staff refused my visitor to try the gym even though the visitor is over 18 years old. I told her I drove for 20 minutes and no one told that I can’t bring a guest after 8 pm when I signed the contract just give her the permission just this time because it is not my fault but the staff was so rude and she insisted to not let my guest to use the gym. Is this a good and respect way to treat the members.

Any fitness interest you have you will find here. Basketball to Yoga. Free weight area and group classes. Most gyms don't have a full pool to go with the hot tub and sauna. I don't use the daycare or restaurant but it's available. All reasonably priced. As fitness nut I appreciate a clean facility that offers it all.

I came back here when Nor managed the facility because it seemed like he cared about memberships however the way they have people work here who are not multi functional is just the worse. The manager seems to have a delay in all forms of communication one day it’s 24/48 hours for her to respond the next 48hrs of waiting I was told it takes 3-7 business days for the manager to respond to an email, which is complete asinine. I love to do business with people and businesses who communicate efficiently. This is my last merry go round with this facility as I love the classes the management is inefficient and the supporting staff are just there being hammered with request they can’t or don’t know how to handle. With technology this is disappointing to say the least

The facility is poorly maintained — equipment is often broken or dirty, and the locker rooms are in rough shape. The staff is unhelpful and there’s little to no organization during busy hours. It feels like they care more about collecting membership fees than actually creating a quality environment for members. Definitely not worth the money. I’m really disappointed in the overall cleanliness at Powerhouse Gym Novi. The windows are extremely dusty and look like they haven’t been cleaned in ages — it makes the whole place feel neglected the moment you walk in. Even worse, the tops of the men’s lockers are covered in thick dust that clearly hasn’t been addressed. It’s gross to think we’re breathing that in every day. For a place that promotes health and fitness, the lack of basic cleaning and hygiene is honestly unacceptable. Definitely not what I expect from a gym I’m paying to use.

The gym floor and classes are solid, but management is extremely unprofessional. My account was forcibly canceled without my consent, and I was charged extra fees on top of the monthly club fee. I was even denied entry because a salesperson (not even on duty) “wanted to speak to me,” but I never received an email.

Later, a manager called but didn’t bother leaving a message while I was at work. For busy gym-goers with set schedules, this is unacceptable. The training environment is good, but the way management treats members is unfair and unprofessional.

I had several memberships in the past and Noor used to help me. However, when I wanted to renew my membership, I expected the same support but unfortunately it was the opposite. Noor didn’t provide any help, and stopped responding to both messages and calls. Because of this poor treatment, I decided not to renew my membership with this gym again. I was completely disappointed with the healthy back class on Wednesday night at 6 PM. The instructor did not introduce herself, just jumped right into the class and did not offer modifications, and ended the class early lasting only 38 minutes. Scammed out of $200. I signed up for their summer program which they advertised as being free just for their to be a 200 enrollment fee which I still debated paying and I was told I could enter my card info and had 10 days to decide to cancel or not and I decided to cancel because they don't offer nearly enough for that price. It's not 24/7, you can't bring a partner and I just have other alternatives that work better for me. They did not honor my cancellation and took the money anyway and I can't get a hold of management.

90% of the barbells are bent. Lifters adding plates for rack pulls and drop the bar onto a hard rack pin, the impact channels force into a single point, producing stress that exceed the bar’s yield strength and causes permanent bending.

People who don’t rack weights after their use are either injured, too weak, or are just lazy. Most people here are lazy about racking their weights.

Go to planet fitness do not go to this gym. They are a bunch of shysters that are gonna con you out of a bunch of money that they don’t deserve. I started a membership. I went three times the third time I tried to bring my 17-year-old son as my guest and they wouldn’t allow it without me paying an extra $40 right then and there I told them I want to end my membership The very rude smart Alec Manager even confirmed that I only went to the gym three times the last time being in November early and have not come back since clearly because I canceled my membership. So tell me why I have a debt collector calling me telling me that I owe $600 to Power House Gym yeah you heard me right $600. I spoke to the manager and she told me oops sorry about your luck. You should’ve answered my email. I’m sorry what does an email have to do with the fact that I went in physically in person to cancel my membership and now she’s trying to tell me there’s nothing she can do and I can try to fight it in court if I want.!!!! I would not recommend this gym to anybody Power House Gym has a name for being rude and extremely shady and scandalous ripping people off out of money that they don’t deserve because they’ve rendered no services

Can’t believe I have had to do this because my experience before today actually has been good with this gym and location. But today, it was not good at all and I will be canceling my membership due to the interaction I had with a worker (named or calls herself/goes by MiMi/MeMe) who was very much so short, rude, and dismissive by talking over me during our initial phone call (not letting me finish my sentences to the point I had to tell her to hold on and let me finish) and rushing me over the phone when calling them about more information on an extra charge I saw on my card that shows it was processed yesterday at 9:05 PM after I made a payment ALONG with the late fee for the month of April yesterday at 5:20 PM. They ended up charging my card once again as a retry payment when I already had made a payment through the app with its late fee since I made a payment a couple days after the payment date due to payment dates changing with my job (April 1st was when it was due, yesterday was when I made it which was April 3rd).

Secondly, she was so rushed with trying to hurry up and speak over me without even letting me finish my own sentences that she retorted to saying how I need to try and make a payment a few days before the due date because things like this happen when you don’t make a payment on the due date. I then told her that I didn’t make the payment on the due date because my payment dates with my job position changed and is why I went through the APP to pay the monthly fee along with the late fee with no problem. She then said she was just telling me of why this error supposedly happens. During this call she had put me on hold to see about her manager giving her more information on the extra charge and came back and said that the charge is pending (even on my end it’s not, which I expressed this to her) and it will be refunded and my information will be given to the manager. I asked if I would be contacted once that happens and I asked if I could have the manager’s information and she not only SHUT DOWN/REFUSED to give me the manager’s information, when I asked who I was speaking with she said her title and her name very lightly which I asked her again who she was and she said “MiMi/MeMe” which I highly doubt that was/is her legal full first name. I asked her for her last name along with her first name given this and she quickly retorted to that I don’t need that and she’s not allowed to give out her last name.

I then asked how to cancel my membership because at this point I don’t know what kind of location of Powerhouse Gym they are running here at Novi when you’re adamant about not giving me the Manager’s information in ADDITION to not providing me your actual full legal first name at least and last name for the customer’s own security and insurance and to actually KNOW who they are talking to if they have to refer back to you on what was told to them. This is coming from someone who HAS and has HAD the occupation title of “Manager.”

Got a second call back from this woman saying that they took a second charge out for the month of May and that her manager isn’t in yet, but they are going to be returning it and it will take a “couple” of days (by that time I already saw that it looked like they took money out for May as well on the app and I said that I saw so on the app to her). I still asked will I still be in contact with a manager about this and she stated (rushing over me verbally) she will and she’s still going to give my information to the manager.

Overall this experience has prompted me to not only cancel my membership, but I will never use Powerhouse Gym again.

The person responsible for payments is completely dishonest and untrustworthy. After overcharging me for towel services for a whole year, she promised free towel service from November 2024 to March 2025, but that never happened. Now, she’s started double charging me again—one payment of $10 was taken on March 5, and another is still pending as of March 24. On top of that, she is impossible to reach, never responding to my calls or emails. I would really appreciate a call back from her boss!

I’ve been coming here since 2012. The weights and machines are great, but about 30% of the treadmills and bikes are broken. The repairs on equipment take a long time. That said, some improvements are being made at the entrance, which is nice to see.

Overall, it’s an okay gym. Novi is showing its age, and I’m not sure I’d recommend it. There are pros and cons, but over time, it’s clear that more attention has been given to the Northville and West Bloomfield locations.
