At Recentered Pilates & Movement Therapy we offer Pilates, Gyrotonic and Movement Therapy modalities such as anatomy in motion, strength/conditioning to help you feel alive and confident in your body again. Giving clients a healthy push to grow and overcome movement obstacles in a safe supportive manner. Providing clients practical tools & support to reach their unique goals.
Small group reformer/tower classes, private and semi-private sessions available by appointment.

Great studio with a caring and attentive team of instructors. Working with Amy was exceptional: she was especially considerate of what I was able to do, and what my goals were, after I completed a long stretch of physical therapy elsewhere. We came up with a plan together to get me to a stronger & more confident place over a period of about ten weeks, and I'm so happy to have worked with her! I'd recommend her to anyone looking for a good avenue into recovery-oriented movement.

Had another 1:1 with Sam and I loved it!! The whole time was customized to my likes, ability, and desire to try new things. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Sam for the past year, she introduced me to Pilates and I’ve been hooked ever since. Sam is super knowledgeable about the body, and makes the classes so much fun. I never thought I’d learn to love exercise the way I do now…it’s because of Recentered Pilates- the amazing instructors and the studio itself and the friends I’ve made there. Extra thanks to Sam for the one on one, can’t wait for the next time!!☺️💕

Highly recommend for local Ann Arborites looking for a reliable Pilates studio. Professional, Kind and Knowledgeable. I enjoy both the private and group classes (which are an intimate size of 4). I feel stronger and enjoy being in the community setting.

Tamara is superb. I’ve worked with her for over 15 years. As my spine deteriorated we worked on core strength and keeping me moving. In 2012 I had major spine surgery where 8 discs were removed and replaced with bone grafts and rods for support. My recovery went better than expected. I continue working with her weekly. My PT only refers to her studio for Pilates. Tamara is the best!

I was a client before I was an instructor. I ONLY became an instructor because of how impressed I was with Tamara and the other instructors. It’s such an amazing and talked group of movement specialists that can range from working on healing injuries, back pain, etc. to giving you a real butt kicking session while always providing a safe and positive movement experience

I have been working with Tamara one on one for 8 years. She has educated me in how to deal with the aging body and through this education has kept me out of the doctor's office for body aches and pains and sprains. Her knowledge of gait and movement has been life changing for me. When I arrive for our session she asks what has been going on with my body the past week. We discuss it, she observes and she gives me exercises (mostly small movements) that I do at the studio and also at home. I feel better than I have in years and am confident in my ability, with Tamara's help, to correct bad habits in movement that have caused unnecessary pain and aching. An added side effect is that my golf swing has improved!!
My time spent with Tamara is as important as my health maintenance exam every year. I can't imagine where I would be without her caring expertise. Thank you Tamara!!!

After nagging pain started to limit the number of miles I could run per week, I turned to the Recentered to hopefully help get me moving again, pain-free. Tamara spent the time to really understand me, my concerns, and my body. She developed a tailored program aimed to get me running again. I felt totally cared for and like my concerns really mattered. I think about her now when I am on a long run and don't have any pain to hold me back. I would recommend Tamara and Recentered to anyone!

Tamara continues to be the best investment I’ve ever made in my physical and mental health. If you happen to be in constant pain like I was after a couple herniated discs and decades or being glued to an office chair, do yourself the favor of stopping by. It could change your life, or at the very least help you understand and break the wayward ways of your weary corpus as it has for myself.

Tracy is an amazing instructor. We took duet lessons twice a week and she really paid attention to our physical needs to help us get the most out of each session. She combines a wealth of OT experience to focus on small and big muscles that are often ignored and not properly stretched/utilized. We’re thankful for her encouragement as we worked on learning spine stretches, tree, and hundred!
