Our daughter has been part of the Spartan Dance Center Competitive Team for nine seasons, and graduating from this amazing community is bittersweet for our family. Being with SDC all these years has truly been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. Over this time, she has grown not just as a dancer but as a kind, confident, and resilient young woman.

The owner, director, staff, and instructors at SDC truly care! They pour into each dancer with encouragement, high-level training, and values that go far beyond dance— teamwork, respect for others during competitions, and the ability to handle challenges and stress with grace. They also encourage dancers to set personal goals and continue pushing themselves to grow in their technique and artistry while striving to become strong, dedicated dancers.

The culture here is special. It’s a place where dancers support and celebrate each other, and where every child is valued and challenged in a healthy, uplifting way.

This is a wonderful gem of a dance studio we are lucky to have locally! Classes offered for all levels! They have ninja classes too and while we haven’t tried that one yet the kids seem to love it! Everyone there is talented, kind and committed. My child is only 5 but has been there a couple years now. I always feel very safe having her there even during these pandemic times.

I signed my son up for their ninja class and unfortunately, our financial circumstances changed shortly thereafter, about two weeks. I requested a refund. I was told, “will remove him from class.” Roughly 2-3 weeks later, I inquired about my refund and was told they don’t give them out, their “system” doesn’t allow for it. The system for a refund is a check. Believe the reviews that talk about shady business dealings with this company. I will be filing a complaint with the AG office, any company that refuses refunds when services weren’t rendered needs to be investigated.

Not very professional. Not the best customer service. They care more about their competitive dance team then recreational dancers. If you are looking for a place where your child just wants to dance recreationally take your business elsewhere.

Really expensive. Class schedule is awkward and they recently lost most of their good trainers so class schedule and quality got worse. They made it extremely uncomfortable for me when I went to cancel my membership. Not very professional.

BE CAREFUL OF OVER CHARGING. they will charge you through the teeth for outfits even if you never signed up for the events that the outfits are for. They will, at times, have children as young as 12 years old in charge of classes for younger kids. Some of their teachers are great but in the end our kids asked to not go back because as they moved up they did not like the teachers.

My children have been attending classes at Spartan Dance Center for 2 years now. I have been very pleased with their growth as dancers-previously they had no dance experience. My children have enjoyed their instructors and feel "at home" at the studio. I have seen my eldest child's self-confidence grow since becoming a student here. My younger child seems to lover her acro class. The instructors do a great job working with the dancers-critiquing as needed in a gentle manner while being firm when necessary. Spartan Dance Center has been a positive environment for my children and there are several different styles of dance classes offered; the children seem to have fun while learning to dance and seem to enjoy the classes and their instructors. I feel that, at Spartan Dance Center, it's not "just" a dance center...it's more...it's FAMILY.

As a first year member of Spartan Dance Center and a senior in high school who has danced for over ten years, I can honestly say that I am so happy to have joined this studio. From the very first step I took inside the studio, I was welcomed with open arms. When I expressed interest in taking classes I was shown a team dance that would be performing locally at a Lansing Lugnuts baseball game and I was invited to attend. After seeing the evident talent, I knew Spartan Dance Center was the place for me. In the fall, I began taking classes under the direction of Leah Seery who both challenged and encouraged me to continue to thrive. I walk out of each and every class satisfied with the work and knowledge I am gaining thanks to Leah and Tiffany. Every time I step into the studio, I am greeted with smiles and enthusiasm which is one of the many reasons I am so happy I found SDC. I honestly could not imagine spending my last year of studio dancing anywhere else. Thank you Tiffany Russell for all you have done and continue to do for not only me but everyone at the studio. I am proud to be a part of the Spartan Dance Center family!

My daughter has been dancing for five years, three of those with Spartan Dance Center. She couldn't be more happy. My child loves to attend all her classes, and comes home craving more. The owners Tiffany and Rob Russell are the best. They truly have a "Family Atmosphere" of dancers who all support each other as well as the parents. Spartan Dance Center has award winning teachers, and all company dancers excel in all competitions. My daughter is learning proper technique and entertaining choreography that displays her skills and poise. I can't tell you enough how this studio and teachers has boosted my daughters self esteem, which I am so thankful for. She is now on the Company Team, and I couldn't be more proud and in awe of all that she has learned in such a short time. We love their summer camps, which gives us a chance to try a different classes to prepare for Fall classes. I'm lucky! My daughter is lucky! We are both lucky to have found Spartan Dance Center for our family. I wish I could give them 10 stars!!!!!!!!!!

My husband and I are happy to have found an exceptional dance center in our area. The instructors truly love what they do. The owners Tiffany and Rob Russell are wonderful and treat these children like one of their own. Our daughter has been taking classes at Spartan Dance Center for 2 years.
