We absolutely love Stars and Stripes! I took my granddaughter there for private classes to learn her back walk over. She had a class with Isabella, Courtney, and Emily. I highly recommend any one of them. The entire staff is amazing.
Savannah has mastered her back walkover and I am one proud Grammie.

The atmosphere is awesome. Between the parents and the staff, you never feel out of place.
My daughter absolutely loved Coach Taylor.
When Coach Taylor makes appearances when she is on break from college, my daughters eyes light up. Even if Coach Taylor isn't assisting her group that day. She goes out of her way to say hi and give my daughter a hug.

That is the type of staff Stars & Stripes have. I 1000% would recommend this place to any and everyone.

Facility is clean. Toddler playtime is great, but it can get busy on no school days (which I mean, is amazing if you’re trying to meet new friends!) so plan ahead! Great for engaging your kiddos in physical activity as well as social interaction! They do have a sibling discount. I wish we could attend the instructional sessions but as any other facility, it can be pricey. They do offer sibling discounts.

Definitely better for older kids I would imagine. A teacher made my 3 year old daughter cry when he told her she couldn’t jump in the foam pit because she wasn’t in his class. I paid so much money for this place, if she wants to jump in the pit, let her. Also the receptionist lady was extremely rude & would constantly talk over me when on the phone. She was very very nice to my husband when he called, though. All the workers & coaches were just too prissy for my taste. We will try a different place.

My 8 year old asked to have his birthday party at Stars and Stripes and hands down it was the BEST birthday party!! From the second I booked it until the sweet had written note he received in the mail today, every detail was thoughtfully planned out! Coach Hanna and Coach Kaylee were so sweet, helpful and fun! They entertained 12 boys, took care of the food, cake, gifts, even made the list of who got him what. I didn’t have to lift a finger and all the boys had a great time!! I could go on and on. I know we will be having more birthday parties there for sure!! 10/10!!

I attended a birthday party here over the weekend. The two ladies helping us were extremely helpful and attentive. The rules were strict at first (only one child at a time on equipment) but once they got to know our group, they adjusted. I’m thankful they did as I don’t think the kids would have had as much fun if only one was allowed on the large trampoline and in the foam pit at a time. That really would have taken away from the purpose.

Overall, the kids and adults had an absolute blast. The staff assisted with EVERYTHING. From keeping an eye on the kiddos to cutting the cake, cleaning up, and assisting in opening gifts. Most importantly, they made the birthday boy feel super special.

I was extremely impressed and would recommend this venue for any child’s birthday party.

We love this place! Both of my kids have done classes here and both have had birthday parties. Every birthday party parents tell me how it’s one of the best bday parties they’ve been to. The staff is amazing at running the party. They’re so helpful and do so much to make it a success and stress free event for us parents. The classes are amazing for the kids and the coaches are wonderful. It’s a really great place. Also it’s very very clean and we love that too. Huge bonus!!! It’s a ton of fun to go here and we love it a lot. Every kid that comes to our parties has the time of their life. They’re all super pooped by the end of the party…win!!!

We have attended cub warrior classes here for the past couple years. The coaches are always wonderful. The facility is clean and practice times are well organized even when busy. We also just had my sons birthday party here and i was so impressed with their organization and help during the party. They took care of just about everything, and all the kids had a blast. We love Stars and Stripes, both my kids are in classes there and the staff are all wonderful and super friendly. It's clean and big and the classes are great. However, I'm sure along with others in my position this is a problem for for many parents with multiple children. With this season already being insane with the number of illnesses floating around. 1 make up class every 8 weeks is just not enough. If like our family you have multiple children and have been hit with illness after illness and have had to miss a few classes, you just don't get them back. I'm sure they or other families wouldn't like it if people start bringing in sick children because they pay for classes and don't get the make ups. I mean even if they just accommodated to the seasons. This season is particularly bad for everyone. It's not cheap to take multiple children to activities, again especially in the circumstances of todays situation with the rising inflation.

I would also love to take my children to the open play, but with it being $20 per child from 12 months up, that's a hefty bill for a parent of three like myself. My 15 month old wouldn't even use half the equipment there and certainly wouldn't play for 2hrs. Under 2's should definitely have a discounted rate.

I would hate to have to leave because I'm not getting my money's worth.

Had my child's birthday party here. Staff was nice and helpful. My child has also done the Friday night lock ins, and the kids have a blast. Would do it again but pretty sure my kids caught COVID-19 here the last time we went. My whole group got it, including the friends we invited. It's a rope's course and gym with mats and stuff, probably don't sanitize it as well as they could or not at all. Kids had fun though

Kid hasn't started gymnastics back, but this is a review to applaud the quality of customer service. After having a disappointing start to our registration, it turned out Mr. Brian (possibly the owner?) saved the day by providing us with alternatives and making it all happen. The 12-year old new-gymnast was having a rough day to begin with and the staff at Stars & Stripes made her feel welcome and had her smiling and laughing by the time we left. They really went above and beyond and helped solve the problems, answered questions, and offered up some incredible deals. I'd recommend people here just based on the interaction today. I'm very confident my niece will love her class.

Quantity, not quality. Watched the business expand and add more programs. It offered a few things and did very well a long time ago but now offers so many things and not very good.

Daughter was kicked off their competition cheer team because my wife "circumvented the communication process" without any communication from the staff to discuss the issue.

I am sure there will be a rush for the owner to solicit good reviews to bury this one. If you are looking for a place to send your children to where they will not be a number, keep looking this is not that place.

We have enjoyed coming to Stars and Stripes since 2008. When our girls were littler, we rotated between gymnastics and swimming, so we added and dropped multiple times without any incident (and with much shorter notice than is required elsewhere). Their registration process is easy--and all online! My girls have loved all of their coaches, and the ladies behind the counter! Now that both girls are on the Pre-Competitive team, we are at the gym quite a bit. I can work easily and comfortably with my laptop and their free Wi-Fi. Stars and Stripes Management really listens to their customers (kids and parents!) and welcomes constructive feedback--free coffee, free trial classes, Parents Night Out, summer camp, complete daily cleaning with natural products and now they are really going the extra mile with the new addition! We can't wait!

We LOVE Stars and Strips Gymnastics! Nothing but GREAT things to say about this place, but here’s a few that I want to mention… First, few places on earth appreciate their customers as much as S&S does, and no matter if you’re a new customer or a long-term customer, you’re ALWAYS treated with the same respect and appreciation – just go to one of their FREE customer appreciation events and you’ll see why! Secondly, they bring joy, happiness, determination, courage, and hope just to name a few out of our children. They invest heavily in their employees and appreciate every one of them. The staff is extremely experienced, and educated to know how to teach the children the right way. You can tell they LOVE THEIR JOB when they smile and interact with the kids, even writing them hand-written postcards sent in the mail (the ones with a stamp!) about how well our children do and how proud they are. When was the last time you received a hand written letter from anyone telling you such things? It’s the very little things that are consistently delivered that makes STARS & STRIPES Gymnastics worth every penny, and hands down the BEST IN MICHIGAN! You and your child will cherish this place, I promise.

My daughter loves the special attention she receives from the gymnastics training. After hopping around from gym to gym, we have found our home for gymnastics training!

My kids are also thrilled about the summer camps! Whether it's Nerf camp for my son or Barbie camp for my daughter, the summer is never dull for my kids when they're at Star and Stripes.

Instruction was adequate but nothing that really got her excited. I notified them as required that we were quitting (as is required since they automatically charge your credit card) and they still charged us for 2 extra months. Halfheartedly apologized for messing up the billing but refused to give a refund even though I had followed their procedure for notification.

There are other places out there for gymnastics that are more established and more well rounded for the kids. This place got too big, too fast and it shows. Quantity is not better than quality when our kid's safety is in their hands.

**Update 9/23/13 - While the business accuses me of being a fake person with a fake profile, they contacted me yesterday to threaten me with legal action if I didn't take down this review. Strange how they had no problem locating my cell phone number, but they claim online that I'm a fake? The only thing I will add for clarification is that we went there a long time ago, so maybe things have changed? Since my review is the truth, I will not be removing it and I resent the use of scare tactics to suppress honest, accurate reviews simply because it's not favorable. I think they should spend more time on customer service and less time on threats. I am lowering my review to one star because of this.

My 3 children attend Stars & Stripes and my husband and I could not be more pleased with the staff and facility. First, we love having the option of placing our children in more than one activity at the gym at the same time. Our oldest daughter enjoys cheerleading while our younger two enjoy gymnastics. Because the gym has so many options available, our children can all participate in their activity at the same time and then we can enjoy more time as a family at home doing family things on other day instead of running all around town taking our kids to different facilities for different activities/sports. Second, the coaches and staff go beyond their expectations. They treat my children (and all the children there) as though they are one of their own. They care about their success as if it was their own child. I have even seen coaches taking their very own personal time to work with children in order to get their back handsprings or back-walkovers (etc), that the child so desperately wanted to accomplish. And the coach was doing this on her own personal time after her shift was over. This is just one example of the excellence Stars & Stripes offers. My family is so grateful for Stars & Stripes and highly recommends that if you have not, you give it a try!

My family LOVES Stars and Stripes! I have a daughter on the Competitive Gymnastic Pre Olympic Team. She absolutely loves it and is so proud to be a part of it. Her Coach is amazing and treats the girls as if they were her own. You can tell she really cares for them, their safety and their future. Her improvements since joining the team in just one year are amazing! I have a son that takes Karate at Stars and Stripes as well. He (7 years old) is always telling me how nice his coaches are, and he has been involved in many sports. The Karate program is great and has given my son a lot of confidence. Obviously I could go on and on about how much we love Stars and Stripes!! They have, and continue to, play a very positive role in my children's childhood!

Competitive team (optional) - could be so much stronger. Unprofessional behavior & inexperience (coaches) in top levels. "Teaching" is hard on the body and head games putting girls against one another when adults (coaches are spouses) have girls "report" about teamates. Lots of coaching practices go against encouraging all and team unity which is bad bc generally good group of kids. Lost a few good kids. Adults your program could be so much better. No games. Contact Indy and get more training for upper levels. (Fair)

Compulsory levels - very strong and good basics. TIP Good place for starting. When time for serious training may look at others for balanced preparation. (Very Good)

Rec program - extremely popular in area. Great business plan with including multiple activities for community. Basically has any activity your kid could be interested in. Head guy is very personable which helps with patrons. Hopefully, its genuine. This could help business stay around for significant time. (Very Good)
