Let this be a warning to all persons currently patronizing or thinking about visiting Starseed Yoga. This is on their website:
The West End Yoga Company, LLC dba 'starseed yoga' reserves the right to substitute, cancel, add, delete and/or change programs, classes, instructors, and/or class type at the sole discretion of management, and assumes absolutely no liability for any such changes at any time.
No other yoga studio has a disclaimer saying we can take your money, cancel at our own discretion and keep the unused funds. Sorry it doesn't work like that in the real world and a judge agreed. (see attached judgement)
Leah, took my daughter's money along with others in her certification class totaling thousands of dollars. She had some sort of mental breakdown down during a class and cancelled the remainder of the course. Not only did she keep everyone's money, according to the court her course doesn't meet the certification requirements. Plaintiff won the case. I urge anyone who has been ripped off by Starseed studio to sue. You will win.

This will forever be my yoga home. So much knowledge and fellowship is shared here. Starseed is truly like no other yoga studio, the moment you walk in you are welcome and part of the Starseed community, no judgement, no explanations, just pure love for humanity, Mother Earth, and the expansive conciousness. I highly recommend Starseed yoga and all its offerings. Much love, peace, and gratitude. Namaste.

I joined Starseed in 2016 with little yoga experience and felt very welcome there. It is a small and lovely studio with a great group of dedicated instructors, each with their own style.
There are a variety of classes, from chill to high intensity flow to fast-paced tribal dancing. I have found a true sense of community there and can't believe how much stronger I am than when I began. I have a back injury and used a lot of the modifications and props to do yoga safely.
One thing I love about Starseed is they also offer special workshops and classes. I've learned about meditation, fitness/strength, diet/nutrition, sound healing, crystals, etc. It's a lot of fun.
I also appreciate that the studio doesn't just have a fitness vibe. The owner, Leah, is a master yogi and a true expert. She is all about mind/body/spirit. From the decor to the selection of classes, it's a very comforting and zen space.
Sometimes I attend a class every day of the week, but usually at least 4 days a week. The membership package makes it very affordable. I really love this place. Hope to see you there.

I e always felt a sense of connection and acceptance being at Starseed Yoga. Leah has opened her heart willingly to me and I have watched her serve many many types of men and women in her sacred space. Leah strives daily to put kindness and compassion into her work and has a really good heart. I regularly made 50 minute commutes just to attend class with her Saturday mornings. I love Starseed Yoga and recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic, liberating experience

The best yoga studio in all the US. I say the US because I have never been outside the US, but I am originally from Michigan and travel every week for work to different parts of the country. I have tried more yoga studios than I can count, and Starseed (specifically Leah Slagenwhite, the owner) is the reason other studios just cant match up. Leah is so genuine and so helpful, welcomes anyone - LITERALLY ANYONE - who comes in this studio and you just immediately feel like home. I recommend this place to anyone searching for connection, empowerment, comfort and peace.

My husband and I went for the first time and we were so excited! This was actually my husbands first time ever doing yoga. The instructor and other people who attended the class were very welcoming and yes there were other dudes there too! The instructor helped us guide through each pose and modified it for me if I couldn't bend that way haha. She didn't force you to do a pose you couldn't do. She made us feel comfortable. My husband and I left feeling super flexible and amazing! It was the best experience ever! I would recommend it for first timers and to those who aren't that flexible like my husband haha cause he loved it! :) aloha

This space is inclusive, warm, and truly authentic. I am very picky with yoga studios. I find most to be inauthentic, unwelcoming spaces that promote competition and pushing yourself beyond what your body needs. Starseed, however, encourages you to come into your body, listen to it, and bring together all the orphaned parts of yourself right there on the mat. The owner, Leah, seamlessly crafts flows that incorporate traditional Chinese medicine, primal movement, and raw energy. You will leave feeling anew. You will leave feeling like you can be yourself again. Starseed is a place where you can safely explore those depths inside you are afraid of. This is yoga, and I found it here. Thank you, Starseed, for guiding me back. Asé.

I've been doing yoga for 6+years now and have been to many studios but starseed is something special and magical. The instructors and owner are artists at their crafts, they are not only yoga instructors but skilled movement experts of all kinds. The classes range from intense to chill but all have a focus on energy healing. I've never been to a place that has the love, intention, and level of instruction that you get a starseed. This place is a must go... I'm there almost everyday and as a psychologist by trade this has become my self care/self therapy. Absolutley in love!

So happy to be a part of such a loving and committed yoga community here at Starseed Yoga. I’ve been practicing with Léah and her team of incredible teachers for more than 5 years; the classes are challenging and push you to grow in your practice regardless of skill level. I really can’t say enough good things about this studio - I leave every class feeling stronger and more connected to the teachers, fellow students, and myself. Highly recommend!

I love everything about Starseed Yoga. The space. The people. The community. The energy. Starseed offers a variety of classes for various levels/intensities, an online studio, training, podcasts, and wonderful healing services. I even look forward to receiving Starseed emails. They are packed with wisdom, love, and truth which is a direct reflection of Starseed.

STEER CLEAR OF THIS STUDIO. If you want a happy yoga experience esp as a new beginner beware of this studio! The woman who runs it is a straight up narcissist! She has had maaaaaany conflicts with other students, teachers, and even a well known branded yoga teacher. Anyone know buti yoga? Starseed used to teach it but no longer does bc the owner disrespected the founder of buti so deeply. The owner does not care abut her students and only cares about the money she can make from them and using her “teaching” time as her own personal workout. Avoid at all costs!

Very disorganized and poorly managed studio. The owner and instructor put too much work into her own practice that she forgot about her students! As a new student I felt lost and totally forgotten about. It felt like she didn’t want to be there and only cared about getting her own yoga practice in. I’ve been doing yoga for years and have never felt more unwelcome at a studio then I did at Starseed.

Attended a 200 hour yoga teacher training at this studio. After collecting roughly $2,500 from every student, lead teacher Léah Slaggenwhite abruptly canceled the training after a student addressed some concerns she was having with the program. Léah took it personal and created a hostile learning environment for students, using cuss words and aggressive hand gestures. Accused us of being ungrateful and entitled and not supporting other women. Verbally attacked multiple students in front of the entire class, bringing some to tears. Teacher is narcissistic. Very unprofessional. Does not demonstrate yogic values. Told us we had to come back for a different training if we wanted to finish, but no one wanted to come back to finish such a sacred training in that environment. Refused to refund any money. Have to go to court for our money back. What a mess.

Positive energy and light surrounds this place. Starseed Yoga changed my life for the better. When I first started coming here I was battling chronic anxiety, depression and ptsd. It’s been 2 years since I showed up for my first class, I remember almost turning around because of my anxiety. I’m so happy I pushed through. Now I’m training to teach. The owner & All of the staff are so knowledgeable & passionate about yoga. I have met amazing people at this studio who are like family. Such great, empowering energy & a safe space to break free and get your mind body & soul right. 10/10 recommend.

Amazing studio with a great variety of classes! The space is clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom/changing room is a big plus since I often come right from work. Best of all is the sense of community! Everyone at starseed is so welcoming and warm. Love it there.

I've taken a few yoga classes with other studios and did not enjoy them. I've fallen in love with West End! I started off with their lowest intensity class. I felt the instructor was very supportive and encouraged the class to be gentle on the body.
