I can’t say enough great things about this gym! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is welcoming, and motivating. Kym is friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help with tips or guidance, which makes a huge difference.

I do not reccomend this gym at all you'll be better off at any other gym in the area. The gym it is disgusting and as you can see in previous reviews the air quality is awful. The owner of the gym is very creepy towards women and is rude and threatening to members that complain about the poor quality of the gym. The staff constantly makes fun of members on there social media. You will be forced into a long contract if you want to pay a reasonable fee every month and even that is to much for this place. Also if you're late on a payment they will charge a late fee that in my case was almost the same amoumt as my membership fee and they will threaten to take you to court no matter your situation if you are unable to pay. You will be much better off at a planet fitness or the Fit Stop gym located in Paw Paw I have heard nothing but good things about them.

This gym is a hidden gem. I wish I would have found this place sooner. Great equipment and people to make for one hell of a workout. Always seem to find another gear when lifting at Strength Beyond, some of my best workouts have been at this gym. And it’s definitely worth the twenty minute drive.

The owner is a very nice guy, and runs the gym really well.

Overall, definitely recommend this gym for anyone who wants a no nonsense gym and just wants to get one heck of a workout in. Plus the 24/7 option is always a big plus

The owner of this gym is predatory and should offer a free trial or at least a free day pass before coaxing young women into getting discounted gym memberships with them. If I have to pay 40$ a month for the next 3 years (which I was not given any other options for time length) I would’ve appreciated at least knowing I was signing up for an over priced dirty gym that has a sketchy crowd. I’m actually now unable to use my membership and not looking forward to convincing these low life’s to break my contract or meet me in the middle so I’m not stuck paying for something I am completely unable to use. It’s a bad joke of a gym. Know people who have memberships here and they bring their guest with them. Which in their contract shows they are allowed to bring one free guest. No restrictions on the amount of times either. But the owner will harass and constant threats about they need to get a membership. I have recently returned to Strength Beyond after working out (and failing) at my office gym and briefly at Planet Fitness during the time my membership ended at SB until now.

I’d like to say: There is no gym like SB in the area. The staff are very helpful and willing to answer questions about anything from form to best practices for getting the most out of a machine to general nutrition while working out. These people are fitness professionals and world class trainers who are approachable, reasonable and encouraging. The gym itself has everything I need to get a maximum workout in the most efficient time. I like the split level facility as I can train on the machines upstairs while my son uses the weights on the first floor. Also, Aaron was very helpful and responsive in getting me set up to win again. He answered all my questions and worked with me to make sure my membership was a custom build to fit my needs and the needs of my family. I’m very grateful to live in a community with this amazing facility within walking distance. My only regret is having not renewed my membership when it expired the first time.

Have been going about 15 years. Moved a couple years ago, but still frequent the place whenever in town. Free weights galore. Equipment aplenty. 24/7 convenience. I have seen complaints about contracts and the owner, but I have no issues with either. May not be the case for everyone, but is for me. I have seen a number of public lies about him as well, particularly through the pandemic. Don't believe everything you read, and ask him about it directly if you want to. Returning back after a hiatus due to work requirements/covid. Was recognized and warmly greeted. Friendly staff and other members. Now that I'm retired, plan on going until I'm no longer physically able. I find the negative comments about cleanliness astonishing. It is very clean. Some of the equipment has been around for a while, but it works. The Paw Paw location doesn't have the space for aerobics, but there is plenty of equipment for CV as well as free weights and weight machines.

I.recently signed my daughter and I up for a membership at the paw paw site. Our experience so far has been great! We feel very comfortable and motivated when walking through the door to begin our work out. The staff is awesome and very helpful if we have any questions. The place is loaded with every type of equipment you'd need to get your body in shape and everything is clean. I've recommended all my friends after only being there a short time. I enjoy the music selection which for me plays a big role in my motivation for a good work out. And I've never had a problem with the male staff nor have they acted creepy like some of you are saying. If anything everyone is welcoming and friendly. It's an inviting atmosphere and I love it! The staff signing me up was also very thorough and informative while explaining the payment methods and what not. He literally went over my contract three times to be sure we were at a mutual understanding. He answered any questions I.had and offered additional information as well as a step by step guide to beginning a healthy lifestyle. No gimmicks just affordable prices and lots of services offered. I'd give 10 stars if I could!

I've been a regular member (3x/week) now for over a year, and really like this gym. Their staff is very friendly, and takes time to learn your name and say hi. There is a wide variety of members, so you can find someone to work with and something to strive towards. It is a small gym, and has older equiptment, but everything works well, and there is a wide variety of equipment. I've also used their personal trainers and love the workout I get with them. I am a frequent visitor of the Kalamazoo locations, but this gym is so raw! I love the atmosphere, and the staff are very friendly. A lifter's paradise 👍

I give this place 1 star because it's the lowest allowed. I joined this gym because it was in the small town I live in and the price was average. WATCH OUT FOR EXTRA CHARGES AND HIDDEN DETAILS IN THE CONTRACT. Their contracts are all over the board as to how much and what fees they charge. I guess it depends on who signs you up and how badly the gym needs money that month. I know several people who's differ greatly but all have the same end result... you can't cancel early without a buy out. I signed a 2yr for myself and a guest for $30 a month... but that also included an annual $50 fee for "equipment upkeep". The equipment has never been "up kept", it is all very worn with some being broken... Not sure what they spent that $100 on. The building is looking more run down everyday with flaking plaster and rags shoved around the AC unit. The "kids area is a Hole in the wall with no doorway, you lift your child over a 3ft half wall and set them in the "room" and have to reach into the hole over the half wall to get them back out. The best part is the SCAM they run with NFS.. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR AUTOMATIC BILLING!!! They have NFS do their auto billing. That expiration date on your contract is just a suggestion... there is supposedly a small box on the contract that MUST be checked or you are entered into automatic renewal. An employee told me that they put 90% of their contracts into auto renewal. This means when your contract expires, NFS keeps charging your account, The gym washes their hands and tells you that you must deal with NFS to cancel...NFS tells you that they require YOU to give them a 60 day notice of cancellation. This means that when you think your done with Strength Beyond Paw Paw and their shack of a gym because your contract has expired...SURPRISE! you get hit with 3 more payments to NFS.

Strength and Beyond has some of the most friendly, helpful staff of any gym. I frequently see the owner and staff coaching people at all hours, but they are never too busy to greet you.

This gym does have many isolation machines if that is your preference, but they also have a refreshingly large assortment of free weights, something that a lot of gyms lack.

I highly recommend this gym. i've gone to the paw paw location for 3 years and i was very pleased with the equipment and how clean they where. Also the brand new place on gull road even better brand new everything super clean everyone is very friendly and helpful if you need any assistance. defiantly worth every buck. =)

The Paw Paw location is open 24 hours, close to home, Aaron and the rest of the staff are super nice and helpful, since starting there, I've dropped 2 sizes, got my tan on and most importantly, I feel great! So far, I've used most of the equipment and the tanning bed. Soon I'm going to work with one of their personal trainers to help me step it up a notch. Stop in to one of their locations, you'll be glad you did!

I have been going to this gym for a couple of years and would not go anywhere else! This gym is always clean, has good equipment, a friendly staff, and it is very affordable. I appreciate that I never have to wait to get on a treadmill or any other machine for that matter. I like the fact that the free-weights are kept away from the machines up stairs because it gives you room and privacy when you feel like lifting. I really like that they have equipment that you can use outside, I don’t think I have seen this at any other gym. They have recently added a sauna to the mix, I have only used it once so far but I will certainly use it again. All in all I feel that Strength Beyond offers a great overall experience and I plan on working out here for years to come.

AWFULL, first of all theyre going to try and squeeze you for every $$ youre worth. I know this because i almost got a job there and i know how it works. the equipment is old and rusty and there is so many egos there!! Hopefully you dont want to cancel out of your contract cuz you cant. I moved two hours away and im still paying $30 per month for a membership i dont even use! They told me basically there is nothing i can do for you. The tanning beds are nasty and are rarely cleaned, not to mention the one i was in was broken. If you go talk to them about a contract they will sound very deceiving on how awesome of a deal youre getting. Its all part of the game theyre playing to get an extra buck. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT! you will regret it. Me and everyone i know did.
