I have grown up at this place and i’ve had so many great memories here and have made the most bestest friends ever, and have excelled in my karate skills over the years i’ve been there. And I would definitely recommend going there for either karate or just the after school day care, but definitely go for summer camp. They do so many fun things. 10/10 definitely consider going!!

We have been at this Karate school for more than a year, Mr. William's the Owner is very patient with kids yet he still teaches them discipline and to listen. Start with warm up and class, then they have small breaks where they play games, run and chase each other and kids love it!. Kids learn discipline, they learn self defense, they exercise and play at the same time, this is great in this days were all kids want is sit and play iPad or watch TV. This is a good place where kids stay healthy and still play and learn.

My friend has a very bad experience at this place. Coach is not professional at all . I wanted to sign my kids , but once you pay annually treatment is different. DO NOT PAY IN Full !

Gary Williams is awesome with kids. My son is in his karate class and in the past has had issues with defiance. Gary knew exactly how to work with him. On top of running karate classes for age 5-adult, he has a before/after school program, where he will take kids to school and pick them up after. In the summer he has a summer camp that offers a ton of stuff for your kids to do.

Gary is a great guy and I can't promote him and his business enough.

Best self defense training of any school I've been to. Gary Williams and his staff are excellent teachers. He teaches it how it should be taught, as a weapon for defense not just a sport.

Our daughter attends the after school program at Troy Black Belt Academy. As we are a family with two working parents and don't live in our home school neighborhood, so no bus to drop off at home.

There are always a variety of kids and ages, so she can always find someone to talk to. There are alot of activities to choose from, divided out in different rooms. Craft room, homework area, gaming room and a laid back living room to watch TVs. There is always time for physical activity as well.

Both Mr Williams and Mrs Williams are nice, understanding, flexible, helpful and good with the kids. The staff consists of college kids who help with activities and homework.

The transportation from school is realiable, on time and a huge help for working families.

We would recommend Troy Black Belt Academy to other families.

Troy Black Belt Academy has been an ideal solution for our family. Our son is in middle school and is too young to be home by himself for several hours, but too old to be in a traditional day care center. The owner, Gary, recognizes the challenges of working parents and offers after school pickup and care on school days. He is also open when the school district has extended breaks. He offers fun activities for the kids (karate, video games, etc.) and everyone always seems to be having a good time when I walk in to pick up my son in the evening.

My kids have been going to Troy Black Belt Academy for After School Care and Summer Day Camp for 4 years, so they are there year-round. Mr. Williams is funny and entertains the kids. Mrs. Williams is very nurturing and approachable to the kids. They offer a variety of activities, indoors and outdoors (in the summer) for the kids. During the summer day camp, kids have several choices of outings such as daily trips to the beach and/or park, and indoor activities with games and crafts, among other things. Mr. and Mrs. Williams are also very generous with prizes, snacks, and overall treats for the kids. Kids make friends and absolutely love going to camp. My kids often ask when I pick them up if they can stay longer at camp. That's obviously a good sign. Mr. and Mrs. Williams are also very flexible with parents and works with you if needed. They also communicate well with parents if any issue arises.
Lastly, Gary (Mr. Williams), the owner, is always there overseeing everything... and I mean ALWAYS. He is always available. He practically lives there.

My son goes after school. Gary is easy to communicate with, dependable and affordable . Also this is the perfect solution for those that struggle with after school care. My son gets his homework done with supervision and blows up much needed energy before coming home. We absolutely love it !

The staff goes all out during holidays and provide an after school experience that my kids love going too everyday. They not only provide discipline through Karate but they also help with school work activity. If I have any issues with anything they are more the willing to listen and make accommodations. They recently started opening their doors for early child care and everything is going perfect.

I am sending my son here from last year. He really enjoys it here. Gary is very nice and kind with my son. My son enjoys all the physical activity they are doing. I feel safe when my son is there. They have started picking and dropping services to and from school. During the snow school closures, half days, I don't have to worry because my wife and I are working full-time, sometimes it's hard to take off when you work in healthcare during the snow storms. These days only go to place is Troy Black belt Academy.

I signed up my son for the summer camp there last summer. He still talks about the fun he had and the friends he made. Once Spring Break hit this year, he kept asking if he could go back there again for the summer.
My son is very active, so this place fits him well. They're always doing something...but what's nice is there are alternative activities, so if one day my son doesn't want to where ever they're going..he doesn't have to. He can stay back and hang out.
I'm what some would call an "over protective" parent. And I'm comfortable leaving my son in their care.
The owner is great. He's there all the time, not like some other places where you only see the staff. And I mean all the time. He's there when we drop off AND pick up. It's comforting to know if we ever needed to talk to him, he's available. The staff is great too!
Lastly...the price is unbeatable. For everything they do, the places they go, the fun they have...seriously, it's unbeatable.

I wanted to let people know that my twin boys still talk about what a horrible experience they had several years ago at a summer camp here. I took them for one week because it was recommended by someone in my neighborhood. What a mistake I made. I still remember the look on the man's face when I came to pick up my boys on that Friday after work. He was so angry. He shouldn't be around children . He has zero patience and has zero understanding of boys. He looked like he was about to blow up. I'm writing this review so people know that my boys still talk about all the bad things that happened there. They were little kids. They are now 12 years old. I learned my lesson . I took them there to have fun at summer camp and it ended up being a scarring nightmare .

I have attended the Troy Black Belt Academy since I was nine years old. From the minute I walked in to the gym, I knew I belonged there! The instructors, including Mr. Tran and Mr. Williams, have a real passion for teaching kids (and adults) and making the experience both fun and educational. The environment in the school is not intimidating or overly serious. The Troy Black Belt Academy focuses on personal growth and fitness instead of competition, which leads to a pleasant experience for all.

I have learned so much in the thirteen years I have spent studying martial arts at the Troy Black Belt Academy and I would not trade the experience for any other. The friends that I have made and the martial arts skills that I have acquired are priceless. On top of that, the exercise and personal fitness techniques are invaluable. I would highly recommend signing up for a membership. You owe it to yourself to give martial arts a try!

I have been going to Troy Black Belt Academy since I was 11 years old and I can say that this is one of the best and most pratical martial arts that I have ever taken. You wont be learing how to break chunks of wood or how to do a triple spinning kick or anything like that, you will learn how to defend yourself from single and mutipul attackers in real life situations and you will be getting a full body workout while your at it.

All in all this is one of the best if not the best dojos around for learing how to take care of yourself.
