I really can't say enough good things about this gym. I was really stuck in a rut and needing something to get out of it. I absolutely love the fact that all I have to do is show up and go through the workout that has already been designed for me. The coaches are great and always very helpful. Kelsey and Garry are both awesome young business owners. There communication is top notch! If you're considering a gym in the community, you will not be disappointed with TrvFit!

After being told by my doctor that I had early stages of osteoporosis he told me strength training would be the best thing I could do. Also, I recently received a kidney transplant and made a promise to the donor family that I would take the absolute best care of my health to honor the sacrifice that a special young man made in becoming an organ donor. However, I was nervous and very intimidated by gyms because I was terribly out of shape but also knew this was going to be the best thing for my health. I bit the bullet and researched gyms in the Byron Center area. The responses and enthusiasm I received from Kelsey at Trv-Fit ran circles around the other gyms I checked out. In fact, one never even responded to my questions. I've been at Trv-Fit now for 3 months and LOVE it! The personal attention and guidance they give their members is top notch! They TRULY care me and my journey and all exercises are adaptable based on your fitness level. I cannot recommend Trv-Fit enough!

I have been in and out of different gyms. Really didn't want to join another one but realized my equipment at home just wasn't enough. I'm so glad I joined TRV FIT SW. I'm older and it can feel very intimidating to workout at gyms. I don't feel insecure here or judged. There are all ages at this gym. The people are all very nice and the owner goes out of her way to make sure you feel comfortable.

The gym is filled with people that WANT to be healthy so they make it fun to be there.
All of the coaches are right there to monitor your technique to prevent injury and make sure you’re doing the lifts and exercises correctly.

I found TRVFIT SW Grand Rapids with a google search for gyms in my area. I have been a member for a little over six months. I hadn't worked out for awhile before I started at TRVFIT and besides the Military many years ago I have never participated in a group workout setting. From the very first meeting with Kelsey I could tell that she has a genuine interest in my health and fitness goals, as do all of the coaches at TRVFIT. Very welcoming and encouraging and helpful tips to get more out of your workouts or modify an exercise to your abilities. With my work schedule and honestly my lack of physical fitness over the years it took several months to get into a routine and to be consistent. But it is so worth it, the group setting is perfect for me. I enjoy the comradery with the other members and the expertise of the coaches. I enjoy that we cheer each other on and celebrate even the little wins or successes. TRVFIT is a great place to belong, the workouts can be as challenging as you make them. I have not regretted going to a workout yet. I have recently added the nutrition program with Kelsey to my toolbox and has been a great experience so far.

I’ve been going to TRVFIT for about 4 months now. I was an athlete all my life, and now, as a young adult it’s been difficult to find a fitness routine that works for me. That was until I began working out at TRVFIT. I participate in personal training and love it! The accountability, and individualized goals, have been so helpful for me. After trying many different gyms and different types of fitness, I finally found what I was looking for. When I came to TrvFit I was looking for personalized training and accountability and that is what I found. While I have spent most of my time in personal training, I’ve also taken some semi-private classes and utilized the nutrition coaching. All have been helpful in getting me closer to my goals. I've been with TRVFIT for three months now. I actually found TRVFIT within a Google search looking for "personal training near me" and they popped up. Read the reviews and decided to schedule a consult. I've been a workout junky for years but fell off as I've gotten older. I would say that I'm a thinner lady so my goals have always been building my strength back and not weight loss forced. I've been with Kelsey now as my PT. My progress has been significant. I feel my strength level has improved and my stamina has been incredible. My body is stronger and my muscles are toning up with every session. She gets me and my goals. Highly recommend them for personal training!

When I retired, I wanted to start working out to strengthen my core, improve my balance, and lose some weight. I knew that to be consistent, I would need to be part of a structured group, and after joining TRVFIT SW Grand Rapids in May, I knew I had found that group. The owner and trainer, Kelsey Goncalves, has put together great workouts while also providing modified exercises for individuals with knee, shoulder or back issues, allowing them to still exercise the muscle group intended. Everyone is supportive of each other with no judgements. Since May, my balance continues to improve, my core strength has improved, and I have lost 10 lbs. - 9 lbs. of Fat.
If you would like to start a workout program, I highly recommend TRVFIT SW Grand Rapids as a great place to start regardless of your age. You will be welcomed and the support you will receive will help you be successful on your fitness journey.

I can’t say enough great things about TRVFIT SW Grand Rapids and the owner/trainer Kelsey Goncalves. I began working out in May, 2023 and have consistently worked out 3 times a week. I have lost a few lbs but more importantly I have lost body fat and inches and have gained muscle mass and strength! Kelsey and the entire gym community are supportive, encouraging, and very friendly. Definitely a no judgement zone with everyone working to their own strength and abilities. I am over 60 and would recommend this gym and family community to anyone regardless of age or athletic ability. This gym is truly worth a try!

I love attending classes at TRV. The classes are very challenging. I have made significant progress in regard to strength and endurance. I have even noticed a difference in my mountain biking. The coaches push you and the atmosphere is friendly. There are different types of classes offered, my favorite is the GRIT class, which is focused on weights and utilizes stations. The workouts vary so I do not get bored. I’m really glad I found this gym so close to home.

A fun / community approach to exercise that will work with any level of fitness or age. The instructors share modifications so that you can partake in all exercises at your pace. The use of reps and weights help individuals wanting to push themselves endless opportunities. We really enjoyed being members when they first opened. The old owners did a great job of creating a supportive, encouraging community. When the difficult decision was made to cancel my membership, the old owner was preemptive and advised me on how to manage the cancelation process in a way that was in my best interest. Now that my husband has had to make the same decision, we were not given the same support. Be sure to read the fine print carefully before you sign up.

This is how it feels to go to Trv|Fit in Byron Center. I actually asked one of the owners if the coaches have pictures of members because I thought it was so incredible that they greet me by name!!

Finally found my Fit Family at TRVFIT! The coaches and other gym goers make the difference. I am surrounded by encouraging people that all help me towards my goals. The classes are exciting and challenging but can always be modified for lower impact! They are family friendly here with a great toy room to keep the kids entertained for the short 45 minute workouts! Riot boxing is my favorite!

I absolutely love it here. The coaches are amazing and these classes are designed for any shape, size, age, and fitness level. I have just begun my exercise journey so I need lots of modifications. If you like a good workout soreness then this is the place for you. You are not required to be at every class, you can choose which class and time that works for you which is amazing for working parents! The staff at TRV|FIT are amazing! They push me to do hard things and they encourage me along the way. I require many modifications because of my size and currently low fitness level. Kelsey and Gary don’t hesitate a bit to change it up on the fly so that I can keep working towards my goals. The best part about this gym, for me, is that most classes are designed in a way that allows me to go at my own pace. I’ve already noticed a few things I can do at week 5 that I couldn’t do week 1. I am so happy that I started the 6 week program Hot for the Holidays. Kelsey is amazing and is there for me every step of the way. She is truly a great coach, always positive and able to answer all of my questions. I love the high protein recipes she gave out.
Everyone who comes to the classes are very nice and helpful. Plus I have seen the change in my body already after 4 weeks!
Now my son is also a member and we love to go to the classes together. You are never bored and do not do the same exercises in class twice. It is an amazing space workout and my son and I enjoy it every day.

I usually don’t like a gym enough to get a membership and I definitely don’t love going to the gym enough to post a review, but TRV fit honestly is something so special and unique. Everyone needs to try it. I can’t say enough about it! The classes are so fun and challenging, and the staff are even more amazing. They’re like a family there, and they make going to classes something to look forward to. They have child care services, classes at 5:45am and 9am (for those who can’t make evening classes) and they have interval, sweat (my favorite) and boxing classes. TRV fit makes working out less of a chore and more of a fun and important part of your life.

I've been going to TRVFIT for almost 3 months and can't say enough good about it! The community is amazing and the workouts are killer . I have never been much of a "gym" person, but this place is so different and I'll probably be a TRVFIT lifer. I'm hooked!
