Unfortunately, I have not been pleased with the quality of my daughter's ballet classes. She took kinder ballet two years ago and then Youth Ballet I this past year. She enjoyed the kinder ballet except that it was too easy, so we were hopeful that Youth Ballet I would be more rigorous and fun for her. It was not. There was a chunk of the class that did not listen to the teacher and goofed off much of the time and nothing was done about their rude behavior and the showcase performance was an absolute embarrassment- and not in the cute way you would expect. Most of the girls had barely a clue as to what they were supposed to be doing. If you want something to take up an hour and a half of your time once a week, go ahead, otherwise I'd look somewhere else.

Turning Point has been a great performing arts ministry in the area of dance, where my daughter not only has been able to learn and improve her dancing skills, but also she has been guided and edified spiritually, through their devotion time, rehearsals, and shared experiences with her dance mates. Turning Pointe is such a blessing to our family. All three of our children dance at the Hudsonville location and LOVE it. This Dance School is truly Christ-centered. Each class begins with a devotion and prayer. The music selections for class are wholesome. The costumes and choreography are modest. Proper technique is taught from the earliest levels to prepare the dancers to excel. Above all this, the teachers genuinely care for their students and desire to see them grow as dancers and as individuals.

My daughter absolutely loves dancing for this school. They are very good at keeping you informed with things and let you know well in advance when your payment is going to be taken out, so you’re not taken by surprise. Ms.Tori is a great teacher and has a lot of patience with the kiddos. I highly recommend this school!

My toddler/pre-k aged children have enjoyed attending ballet at Turning Pointe both during the school year, and in summer programming. The staff is professional, and does an amazing job engaging the youngest dancers in proper form, etiquette, and vocabulary.

We absolutely love this place! The instructors are wonderful. My child is growing so much in learning about practice and perseverance. We have been a Turning Pointe family for two years now. My kids have taken ballet, both recreational and training division, hip hop, musical theater, and lyrical and are excited to try out jazz this fall.

I cannot speak highly enough of the studio, teachers, and staff! The studio itself is a Christian non-profit ministry, which means that tuition rates are reasonable, each class begins with a devotion and prayer requests, and every performance is created with modestly beautiful costumes, appropriate dance moves, uplifting music, and an eye to glorify God.

The teachers are absolutely phenomenal! They genuinely care about each of their students and are so kind and encouraging while maintaining high standards of excellence and growth for them as dancers and human beings.

The quality of the curriculum is spectacular! Graduating dancers have gone on to be professional dancers and win scholarships at colleges. They frequently bring in nationally recognized guest teachers to expose their dancers to different styles of dance and teaching and have sprung Marley dance floors for safety.

Finally, the staff are so friendly and absolutely willing to answer any question and help in any way possible.

Whether you're looking for a fun once-a-week preschool tap class or a rigorous 2-4 times a week pre-professional ballet program, Turning Pointe delivers! Highly, highly recommend.
