I've been on and off with Vixen for years and love learning how to move in new ways. It's fun to get both a workout and watch myself improve over time. The vibes here are soooo good -- I've only taken 3 classes so far with Ashley and Danielle -- and not only are they skilled instructors but they're also down to earth and create an inclusive atmosphere. They don't offer L3+ classes (as far as I'm aware? in Ypsi) but I still feel like I'm learning something new/honing the basics and improving my technique/style.

Vixen Dance is lifechanging. My physical fitness and mental health has never been better. The incredible instructors each bring their own unique flairs to the classwork, and in every class I feel encouraged, empowered, and cared for. I've had the joy of working with all of the teachers in the Ypsilanti location--Laura, Vee, Alexis, Ashley, and of course the phenomenal powerhouse (who is the owner) Danielle. The classes are dynamic, positive environments where every level is met with hype and applause and appropriate challenge! By far the best studio in the area! The instructors are amazing, knowledgable, and teach skills safely. I joined after a multi-year pole break and was nervous after some experiences at other local studios and the fact that I'm much older than a typical college student. :)~ The classes are a diverse mix of ages, body-types, and levels. They make everyone feel welcome. I highly recommend anyone who is pole-curious to take a class here! (Also, they have an app that makes scheduling classes super easy.)

I got my first intro pack of classes at a Vixen studio in 2017 cuz I wanted to try and be more active, and never left cuz this place is 10/10. Absolutely fantastic structure to the class and Danielle is an amazing instructor. There is a great combination of dance, transitions and pole moves. Studios I've gone to in the past tend to only focus on one or the other, but the intro class was just perfect for dipping my toe back in after not having gone in awhile. 5 stars! We started class with some great stretches on a yoga matt and then moved to the pole. Learned basis for pole dancing with foot work, swings around and even holds with our legs on the bar. Ending with more stretches. Teacher was experienced, patient, and easy to follow which was another plus.
It was a lot of fun and brought out a whole new side of me! :p Will be returning!

I am so excited that this beautiful place is back closer to home! I used to go to the Detroit location a while back. I went to class last night for the first time in over a year and it was like I never left. I had so much fun! Everyone is so encouraging, supportive, and uplifting.
