**5-Star Google Review for Zion Well**

Zion Well is hands-down the *best yoga studio in Ann Arbor* — and honestly, the best yoga space I’ve experienced in all three metropolitan areas I’ve lived and worked in. The owners are exceptional — truly the most welcoming, grounded, and community-centered yoga studio owners I’ve ever met.

What sets Zion Well apart is their deep commitment to inclusivity. No matter your background, body, age, race, gender, or experience level, you’ll find a yoga home here. The space feels safe, affirming, and warm — a rarity in the wellness world, and a breath of fresh air for anyone looking for real connection and healing through movement.

Their classes are intentional, skillfully led, and rooted in a deep respect for the practice of yoga. Whether you're brand new to yoga or a long-time practitioner, you’ll feel seen, supported, and uplifted.

Zion Well isn’t just a yoga studio — it’s a community. A sanctuary. A place to grow. If you’re searching for the *best yoga in Michigan*, look no further.

My Yoga Journey at Zion Well

I started my yoga journey last July, wanting to add something new to my workout routine. In the past, I’d tried yoga but always found excuses to quit—it felt uncomfortable, too slow, or just *not for me*. Then, a friend told me about **Zion Well**, her beloved studio with two locations. She raved about the instructors, who offer modifications for every skill level, making yoga accessible no matter how flexible you are (or aren’t!). After casually stalking their website for six months 😂, I finally took a Wednesday evening class—and I’ve been hooked ever since, practicing 3-4 times a week.

Zion Well isn’t just a studio; it’s a community. Owners Art and Aubrey have created a warm, inclusive space with online and in-studio classes, workshops, teacher training, and even retreats. Their motto says it all: “We couldn’t find a community that felt like home, so we created one.” And that’s exactly what Zion Well is—a home. I’m so grateful to have found my studio. 💛 !

I love Zionwell-as both a fitness instructor and for my own wellbeing. Aubrey and Art have created a warm and welcome environment. I have gone to a class feeling very stressed and my heart rate was high (80-90bpm-which is on the higher side). I was back down to my normal 50’s. They foster community and are fantastic teachers. If you are considering their YTT program, they are incredibly knowledgable and will help you in each step.

I would give Zion Well 10 stars if I could! Absolutely the best yoga studio you’ll ever find. I started here about 2 years ago not knowing anything about yoga but the supportive and welcoming community made me fall in-love with the practice! If you’re debating whether you should practice at Zion or not, please give it a try and I’m 100% sure you won’t regret it! Amazing teachers, studios, and overall energy! 🤍

The Ypsilanti studio is a beautiful place to practice yoga overlooking Ford lake. The teachers are very experienced and educated in the field. They do several one of a kind retreats throughout the year, which I highly recommend! If you haven’t tried Zion Well for a class or 10 do it now!

I've practiced in a lot of yoga studios and there's something really special about this one. The community is authentic and real, dedicated to more of the practice than just achieving cool poses. As a bonus, you get the beautiful lake views often with the colors of the sunrise or sunset!

This place is truly magical. Art and Aubrey have done an incredible job cultivating a space that feels accessible, inclusive and healing. I love that each teacher is different in their own wonderful ways and that I can find a class for when I want more heat and movement and a class for when I want a slower, more restorative vibe. I can't say enough about how lovely this place is and what practicing there for the past few years has meant to me.

Zion Well is an wholesome, authentic, and holistic place to practice yoga. I have never practiced a day in my life until I received a free mat and a month free of yoga practice at an event of theirs. From there, up until this point, I have attended 100+ classes and have enjoyed each session. On top of the great yoga classes, the environment and community is what continuously bring me back. The owners, Art and Aubrey, make you feel welcomed no matter your identity, size, abilities, etc. They hire a team that share that message and acceptance. I have made great friends and awesome practice partners all because of the community manifested by this practice. The place itself is clean and relaxing with plenty of space to practice. The Ypsilanti location overlooks beautiful water that in itself is as valuable as the practice itself. I would recommend Zion Well to everyone I know for beginners, mastes, or just for relaxation purposes.

What a beautiful studio in a beautiful setting! More than the gorgeous views, Art and Aubrey have created the most special place to connect with self and others. This is so much more than yoga. Every class is an opportunity to show up for yourself with the most supportive teachers and fellow students.

Great yoga studio and wonderful community! Several different pace classes to pick from and all the teachers are wonderful. The owners, Aubrey and Art, are really awesome and welcoming. Also love that the class room over looks the lake and that you are not in a room of mirrors uncomfortably watching yourself

It is hard to express how grateful I feel to have found Zion Well. I started at Zion Well a year ago with no yoga experience, after trying a variety of different studios. Instantly I felt supported, never judged, as I explored my body through yoga. Although I’m a 30 minute drive away from Zion Well, it is worth every second on the road. Zion Well has changed my life!

Aubrey and Art are so welcoming, warm, and generous. Katie is lovely and teaches such calming yoga classes. Shoutout to Natasha and Tonya for wonderful restore classes. Every teacher and every class is fantastic.

Spaces like the one Art and Aubrey have created at Zion Well are not easy to come by. Rather than commodify yoga, they seek to help each member find themselves through the practice. It is obvious that Art and Aubrey aim to embody the philosophies they teach and put tremendous effort into evolving the studio and its offerings. They are socially conscious and not in a performative way. There are ongoing discussions and projects to address and remediate discrepancies in accessibility of yoga to underserved populations (or folks who perhaps feel they don't belong in such spaces). I believe this is a responsibility they take seriously.

A couple other things to know: Art and Aubrey are fun, hilarious, and stylish! They take pains to create a new playlist for each class, allow themselves to be people and bring to us their strengths/quirks/vulnerabilities, and maintain a truly beautiful studio (look at the pics for yourself). I require a space where I can be myself and sometimes that means the freedom to be the full range of me: tidy, messy, loud, quiet, ebullient, withdrawn, humble, and self-righteous. They've helped me cultivate an inner wisdom by offering both acceptance and a disciplined practice that has been honed by their own personal learnings. They have been accessible for and interested in forming relationships with members of their community and in this era of isolation I have come to treasure that a whole lot. Love them!!

Love this place! Small, beautiful, relaxed space and great teachers/cues. Friendly to beginners/out of practice yogis like myself. I've only been able to attend a couple of classes because I work an evening schedule (healthcare) and so most of the classes are either before I wake up or after I leave for work. Would love to attend more regularly if they ever add midday classes!

I've booked 3 virtual mediation classes with Aubrey for my office through our Wellness program. They have all been great and extremely relaxing. As a result, I've just booked 6 more monthly classes for the office. Everyone that has attended has had nothing but positive comments. I look forward to our additional classes!

There's no way I make it through a year like 2020 without having Aubrey and Art by my side. I can't say enough about how genuine and caring they have been with me since we first met. The main purpose of me writing this review is for the massage I received from Kelsey yesterday ✨ I had never received a massage before (let alone during a pandemic). When I made my appointment Kelsey assured me that all would be well - and it was 🥰 This space was made for healing. You can’t beat the view of Ford Lake with the sliding doors open so the breeze can come through. Kelsey was super awesome about explaining what she was going to do before she began which put me at ease. She is an incredibly caring soul and it was such a pleasure to chat and receive my first massage from her.
I have never felt more at home in a space aside from my own home now or growing up. Art and Aubrey have done a phenomenal job making their space safe for everybody, especially since reopening after the COVID shutdown. With everything that they have done to provide extra cleanliness and ventilation, I trust that their studio is safe for yoga practice as well as massage with Kelsey.

Beautiful studio, instructors, and community here. I recently had my first massage experience at the studio with instructor and massage therapist, Kelsey Taylor, and it was incredible. Kelsey is well-studied in various healing methods and is able to integrate the into her practice seamlessly.
She is authentic, competent, and personable, which are all essential traits when it comes to a relaxing healing experience.
Highly recommend booking an appointment with her. You will leave feeling refreshed and have the best sleep of your life.

Also- I have personally been selective with spaces and services I partake in during this time of COVID-19. The studio and employees have made the space and offerings comfortable and safe. There are open windows, air purifiers, and it is clear standards for this time are being met with intention.

Please don’t let my account name fool you, I don’t like tech much and don’t use my real name on google, however this is a honest review of what I LOVE about Zion well!

Classes are well structured and consistent in their experience. Zion also offers a wide variety of difficulty levels in practice for those seeking a challenge along with a more relaxed approach. The guided meditation and breath work is unmatched and always outstanding. It is the perfect awakening to your daily mindset and experience of life.

I’ve now taken part in several of Zion’s remote meditation sessions and couldn’t recommend it enough. Personally, I’ve struggled to feel connected during some guided meditations that I’ve tried in the past – many that pushed specific spiritual beliefs/narratives. The sessions I’ve had with Zion revolve around the idea of creating a deeper connection with the world around you and observing who you are at your core. Their tone and messaging is the most modern, accepting and authentic that I’ve experienced to date.

I’ll be back for more and can’t wait to try their other classes!

Zion well is a sanctuary. Set on the edge of the lake with water and sunshine, their classes replenish and recharge my soul each time I go back. Aubrey & Art's classes, with the wisdom and the intentions set, create a spiritual experience. Through their classes, I am able to reconnect with myself and those around me. Never have I truly felt so connected to the energy in the universe. I genuinely vibrate on a higher plane and feel the energy move through and around me.

Second review because I cannot rant enough about how much I love this place!!! I have been going here since they opened in May 2019. The instructors here are the kindest humans with the best intentions of changing in the world in the healthiest ways- involving peace, love, and acceptance! Not just a yoga studio but a home to many. I believe a family has been created among this studio! Everyone who enters is greeted with love and acceptance. <3 Not just for yogi's but ALL humans.

I have been going to Zion Well since early June and have been able to try each of the regular yoga and meditation classes they offer. I have enjoyed them all! Zion Well is amazing for me, and this is why...

1. Adaptability. At the beginning of each class, the instructors typically ask the class if there is anything that anyone wants to focus on for that class. The instructors can seemingly adapt their class on the fly to accommodate the needs of the class, even if there are several requests and different skill levels in the room. I must say, I rarely request anything specific because of point #2...

2. Intuition. Each time a leave Zion Well, I feel that I received whatever it was I needed that day. In my experience, the instructors here (I have taken classes with Aubrey, Art, and Kelsey) have a rare gift to know, understand, and provide the opportunity for their students to experience exactly what we need on any given day. I rarely ask for certain things in a class because I know what they have in store for us will be exactly what I need.

3. Details. They have thought of it all and I know every bit of my experience at Zion Well has been intentional. From the warm welcome when I walk in the door to the temperature, view, music or sound of nature, plants, and probably so much more that I have not yet noticed. My favorite detail, however, is the way in which the instructors speak during class. The tone, the pace, and the carefully chosen words allow me, very much a beginner, to make it through a class without ever opening my eyes. The detail in their language is so specific and well thought out, yet still very natural, that I can transition from posture to posture without hesitation.

My partner and I have found our yoga home at Zion Well with these very special people.

Yoga/meditation has always been something that I wanted to make a priority in my life. After going to Zion Well, I’ve finally understood why it’s my responsibility to MAKE it a priority.
