The gym has just the right mix of equipment and it's not overly crowded so you can go interval training and get on various machines without having to worry about someone sitting on a machine or getting in the way. The biggest perk is the sauna in the locker rooms. It's consistently at 210 degrees. The hottest sauna I've experienced and creates a great end of workout sweat. 24/7 access is another perk.

Joined In June of 2023, I like the gym, the equipment and availability near my house. Despite paying double what other gyms that offer same service I went almost everyday. In April 2024, 2 months left on 1 year contract I moved to Duluth mn. I got in contact with John the manager/owner, who sent me a cancelation request form. I filled it out and sent back a copy and in May when I came back to Rochester to visit family dropped of the copy under the manager door as no staff was around. It's now April 2025 and I'm receiving an invoice for my membership that not only was not canceled but extended a full year past my 1 year membership agreement. Policy and management is poor.

I super duper love,love, love, this place. I so needed a personal trainer in my life to show me how to not hurt myself on my weight loss journey while learning how to do strength training. When trying to cancel the membership there is was no follow-up that the paperwork was received and processed. I tried emailing using the contact us feature of the website multiple times with no response. I tried using the app provided by the gym and received no follow up. I tried calling the phone number listed on Google and still no response. I would not recommend until the operations and customer service is improved. I’m still waiting for the auto membership fees to stop!

I had been going to Ace Athletics for about 2 and a half years and at first I really loved it there… not at all towards the end. I had very uncomfortable interactions with multiple people in the gym and the owner himself screamed at me over the phone excusing me of messing up the floor during the remodel even though he never checked video footage, and I never messed anything up. I was very calm and always polite and nice so I know that was not deserved at all. At the time I was also 17 so instead of calling me, my parents should have been notified. Do not recommend if you’re looking for a supportive and comfortable gym with compassionate workers.

Be very careful when signing up like some other people said under the reviews, For some reason when I made a membership I only wanted 1 month and they made a one year contract and wouldn’t let me cancel or anything, they said I would have to pay the full year contract to cancel which is insane, very disappointing. I know they will type a message under this claiming that I’m the one who’s wrong and make something up to make themselves look good but just be careful.

I’ve joined this program twice with results the first time, second time I took some time off to organize life a little. Both John and Ty are knowledgeable and willing to help figure your health out no matter what level you are. Highly recommend.

Definitely a 1 star. Owner tried to finesse me and get money out of me for training. Owner talks too much about his life story and took all of my time while I was just trying to leave the spot. Would not recommend plus it’s very expensive and a small gym. Totally not worth your time and money.

They're a pretty cool gym. They are really nice and easy to work with regarding about your membership. I was out of state for college and they were flexible with my membership billing. The membership is also easy to cancel if you need to, especially if you're moving away, which was the case for me.

ace athletics is an amazing gym and has an even better atmosphere, the workers and owners are incredible and help out everyone with anything they need, I have been there for over a year 1/2 and they have helped me with anything from finding supplements to helping me with my workout to life advice after my workout they keep there gym safe and a place that you want to go to and don't feel scared to start lifting.

I’ve enjoyed this gym very much. Great atmosphere, great music for when/if my headphones die, staff is awesome and has been very helpful to any quiestions I’ve had, sauna is awesome as well. One thing that I would like to see is to have a bench that I can sit on while I change clothes instead of putting everything on the floor. Other than that, I am looking forward to continuing my membership with my oldest son!

I have lots of medical issues and didn't think I could keep up with the training, however I'm able to modify my work outs and go at my own pace which makes it easier. In one week I was walking up stairs better, used less pain medical and overall had more energy. I'm into week two just because it was a great experience.

Terrible experience. I was a member about 1 year ago. The bathrooms reeked of sewage. The membership is overpriced. I cancelled my membership, they continued to charge me. I talked to staff which agreed to refund my money and I was never issued a refund.

Called and paid for my membership asked if the fob would work and they assured me that it would, but when I got there it didn’t work and I wasn’t able to workout. I am very upset that I was assured that it would work when it didn’t. I go late night and there’s no staff to help me get in. They need to fix this issue pronto!!!

From someone who likes to work out and feel part of a gym community, I would say ace definitely provides that sense of unity and the newly installed saunas are just a big bonus! Employees and owners are always so welcoming and approachable which is nice given that most gyms in town I have no idea who runs them when I’ve went to simply tour.

Aces is the best gym I've been too hands down, not because they are the biggest gym or have the best equipment (which they do) but because of the atmosphere and sense of community! I was injured and had to have surgery and john put my account on pause without me even asking him to do so, and told me I could still use the gym for recovery! At aces they care about their members and that's why they are the best!

Great place to get a lift or workout in. It's clean, the equipment works great (they have a number of Cybex cable machines). They have barbells and bumpers, as well as standard plates for squats, bench, deadlift, etc. Staff is friendly and helpful.
