The word 'Anahata' in sanskrit means 'unstruck' or 'unbeaten'. Anahata is also the 'Heart Chakra'.
Some of the qualities associated with the Heart Chakra are- Compassion, Acceptance, Love, Understanding etc.
Anahata Yoga is a blend of traditional Ashtanga yoga, neatly packaged in artistic form to meet the needs of today. It is associated with Balance, Calmness and Serenity.

Had a wonderful experience. Amma ray was so kind and welcoming. My bf and I are new to yoga and she talked us through it each step of the way. We left feeling refreshed and took with us some relaxation techniques that we can implement into our daily routine. Will definitely be going back and recommend it for anyone interested in yoga!

The classes here offer a great balance of stretching, flow, breathing exercises, and mindful strengthening poses. I would highly recommend the classes here! They are great for anyone at any skill level, and Ammarah creates a welcoming environment for everyone!

I did one on one prenatal yoga with Ammarah during my pregnancy and it was such a blessing. Having Ammarah guide me through exercises to prepare my mind and body for birth, and ease pregnancy aches and pains, really made my last trimester so much better than it could have been. Ammarah was always very professional and was able to tailor our sessions to what I needed most at that moment.

I've really enjoyed how real Ammarah's classes are - both in terms of her own approach, and the other folks in the room. I spent decades shying away from yoga, because of what I imagined would be too much of a gym culture, as well as my own concerns around cultural appropriation. But how amazing it is to have an Indian woman teach us, who trained for years in her own home city of Bangalore! Ammarah is a rare and beautiful gift for us here in Minneapolis.

I loved to practice yoga with Mrs Ammarah ,
Especially loved the passive stretch session , thatβs amazing, everyone should try out passive stretching, so unique that I have never experienced something like that .
After the Passive Stretch, my body feels so light .
She made me do more than what I usually do .
Her yoga technique and her positive energy absolutely makes my day.

The classes at Anahata yoga are great. After a warmup that really wakes up our joints and gets our hearts pumping, we focus on different stretches and poses, so the classes never feel repetitive. I leave each class feeling flexible, energized, and peaceful.
