Bennett meets you where you are at in your fitness and your life. He personalizes every lesson for the client. He knows his craft so well. Don’t let the quiet and seriousness of his personality fool you. He is sincere with his guidance and does no shaming whatsoever. I need to give more effort into my end of the agreement but he is very consistent with his preparation. As with anything, you get what you put into it. He definitely does his homework for his planning for you. I’m always happy when I leave and feel motivated to keep going during the week. He knows his stuff. He explains what and why he does with his planning for you. No complaints with BadAssBennett!! As a personal trainer, I don’t think you can do better. I am still trying to get him to give me chocolate chip cookies after I finish with him. I don’t like my chances. Bennett rocks!

TL/DR: I am a virtual client, I picked the middle level package. Weekly workouts, meal plans, and access to his app are all included. One month in and 10 pounds down. Highly, highly recommend.
It had been an absolute pleasure to work with Bennett. From day one he had been very straight forward with me and discussed my goals throughly with me.
Along the way I have had a few unexpected bumps and he is extremely kind and understanding of my circumstances and keeps his eyes on the prize which helps me stay narrowed in as well.
The app is lovely, it has a massive library of all sorts of work outs, extremely easy to follow videos with written instruction, and a calorie tracker built in. I personally love the daily goals and how it fills out itself as you add food. It is a breeze to work with!
Overall, Bennett has been a lovely trainer. He is extremely knowledgeable, adjusted my workout to meet my personal body needs, and I already feel stronger and more confident. His knowledge plus your dedication equals success!!

I’ve been training with Bennett for quite some time now and super wish I would have started years ago.
The day-to-day results and the long-term results are easily worth the time, effort, and investment. Bennett has been kind and patient every step of the way and has never made me feel dumb or negative in any way. I’ve been training with Bennett for about 4 months now and want to share that the results I’m seeing already are beyond anything I felt was possible.
I had been to multiple doctors looking for help with some pain I was having that just wouldn’t let up. It was suggested by both that the 1st step was to take anti-inflammatories for two weeks. I may have been a terrible patient, but I just didn’t want to take pills to see if it helped. I wanted to fix it so I didn’t need to take pills. I had also asked about some weight gain and felt a little brushed off both times with the response, “Well, that can happen as you age.” In the moment, I didn’t think to question any of it further. Plus, hearing the same thing from different people sort of felt like that was likely my answer. Essentially, I was ready to just accept my new pain and new weight gain as symptoms of getting older.
Now that I’ve been shown I could get actual results - no more pain AND am down close to 15 lbs since working with Bennett AND eating better - it’s a little sad that I was feeling that way. I had tried real hard for several months to lose any amount of weight before my pain started and just had no luck. It wasn’t that I couldn’t lose weight and be pain free - I just had no clue what I was doing.
Bennett took the time and cared to ask. He heard me when the doctors hadn’t. He collected the needed information, asked about my goals, created a plan to get me there, and has been educating me along the way. I highly recommend Answers Not Excuses if you’ve got any fitness and/or nutritional goals you’d like to reach. He’s very knowledgeable and wants to see you succeed.
Bennett had the answers (not excuses) that I needed and I’m so thankful it worked out to train with him!

I had asked for help improving flexibility. He shared information with me about it, asked questions for understanding, shared exercises with me to help reach the goal (in video form, which helped me feel like I was doing them correctly), and made sure everything made sense. Bennett is easy to talk to, willing to answer questions, and doesn’t make you feel bad about not knowing things. Communication along the way made it easy to tell he really cares about results.

I started about five weeks ago and I know I made a great choice. Bennett has set me up with exercises initially to help with my balance and flexibility along with a 2000 cal diet. I have shed 5 pounds along with making improvements each week with the more difficult exercises. Bennett also checks in to get my thoughts and adjusts the exercises as needed. As a remote customer, I find his method of working with me fits my busy schedule and does take into account my age of 70, as well as, the fact my only exercise regime for the previous 5 years was cardio. He has introduced me to exercises that are making up for my lack of exercise variety. I would highly recommend him for remote or live training since he provides me with videos that show me from all angles how to do each exercise. Best choice I ever made, I really feel motivated for a healthier future.

I started working with Bennett about five weeks ago. I sought his help for back and neck discomfort, tennis elbow pain, bicep discomfort from an injury, and Achilles pain. After discussing with him the issues he could address, he was confident that I would start feeling better soon. I had been trying to manage these problems on my own and was hesitant, but I had been feeling like I was turning into a statue with little flexibility and constant discomfort. He tailored my workouts to not aggravate my existing problems. I used to believe that the more weight I could lift or the more miles I ran, the fitter I was. I was pleasantly surprised at how he incorporated body movement into my exercises to enhance my flexibility and strength. Due to my job, I tend to work hunched over which has led to really bad posture in my everyday life. After two weeks, I noticed that I was standing taller and being more conscious of my posture. He hasn't solved all my problems, which I hadn't expected, but he has significantly improved my mental, emotional, and physical well-being in my daily life. It's interesting how feeling bad physically can affect other aspects of your life. I am very excited to see where we go from here!

I remember in my first couple of weeks the trainings were hard for me but I stayed consistent. 02/22/2024: I'm 60 yo and have been training with Bennett twice a week since July 2021. Last September I fell and broke my left fibula above my ankle while vacationing. 1 Year UPDATE: For those who think it's tough to stick to a fitness plan, having a great trainer has helped me not only keep going but looking forward to my workouts. 1 year in and I'm still happy with Bennett as my trainer. Not only am I lifting weights I never thought possible, my knee pain that I have struggled with on and off since I was a teenager is GONE! Bennett treats every client like you're his only client - personalized mobility/strength training, personal touch points to help keep you on track, and always willing to answer any question or accommodate a busy schedule. A true gem!
If you are considering an in-person and/or online trainer, look no further than Bennett! My husband and I both joined about a month ago and we are so happy with his training. First, he will take the time to assess where you are and address what type of programming will be most beneficial for you and your goals, not just a standard workout/nutrition plan. In addition, he is extremely responsive to messages and inquiries which totally helps for accountability and learning. He also utilizes an app where you can track diet and exercises that makes it so easy to follow. Overall, GREAT experience and as someone who does her research and has had trainers in the past that have been just okay at best, he is definitely a cut above and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get themselves in overall better shape.

I've written A LOT of reviews over the years. Usually for the exceptionally bad or the good. This is one of the exceptionally excellent. At 100+ lbs over weight I have tried every online, in person, gym membership you can think of. None with much results. "Answers Not Excuses" is unlike any other program out there. I get personalized work out plans to use on a app that is designed with all MY goals in mind. Sure there are other apps that do the same but I actually get 1 one 1 communication with my trainer, Bennett. He has me record my work outs so he can continue to revamp things to my needs and capabilities. If you are like me apps are fine and dandy but eventually I lose interest, or I would except I also meet in person with my trainer 3 times a week. Not in a sweaty gym where EVERYONE is in shape already but in they nicest most professional in home gym out there. If your self conscious then this is the program for you, but even if you are a pro just looking to up your game Bennett brings a ton of knowledge and experience to the table! Bennett is incredibly knowledgeable and is very skilled in customizing workouts. He carefully plans out workouts that fit each client's goals and where they are currently at. He doesn't make you feel bad for where you're at, skipping workouts, or eating a bunch of junk that has no value to your health. He does, however, check in and gently remind you that some things help you meet your goals and others do not (ex. Taco Bell). He lets me listen to Taylor Swift, Every Time I Die, or whoever else I feel like listening to that day. We even listened to Smash Mouth once as a joke. I forgot why, but it was a weird time.
Honestly, I can't believe I've actually stuck with working out consistently for 2 years and the only reason is Answers Not Excuses. I'm the classic, doesn't work out for 3 months then runs once or twice and feels awful and then goes back into hibernation for another month or so. Training at Answers Not Excuses holds me accountable, which has led to some serious muscle growth. Listen. Bennett makes dad jokes. Some are better than others. Don't hold that against him. He knows his stuff and his space is super clean. He offers remote sessions. He has an app (it might not be his, but he's on there).

He has countless variations on any given exercise and adapts them to my own personal needs and abilities. He's helped me work through various injuries with specific workouts for the problem areas. He's a great motivator and communicator and a valuable resource for all my health and fitness questions.

I learned so much about technique, nutrition, and healing/recovering from injuries that made the sessions so much more valuable than a workout alone. Not only are you going to get fit, you are going to get a wonderful education!!! I've gotten loads of bad information about wellness and fitness from people online. Perhaps novices but definitely folks that didn't know me personally. But Bennett has really taken the time to educate me on what will suit my needs the best. Going into his program, I can tell that he really took my concerns and limitations to heart and had created something that was very tailored to my needs and goals. The workouts were challenging but in no way grueling or felt impossible. Another impressive quality is how quickly he responds if I should have any pain or problem with a workout. I work with him remotely, through his app, and he was able to diagnose the issue I was having with my form. With a couple small adjustments, I'm now able to perform the workout with no pain whatsoever. He's incredibly thorough and really wants you to succeed. Hire him, he's a wealth of knowledge and will guide you well.

Bennett is a fantastic trainer. I've been seeing him for a year and half and have seen tremendous improvements in my balance, strength, and overall fitness in the that time. He's also able to modify sessions to work with physical limitations. I went to see Bennett after I was struggling to recover from a shoulder injury. After a very short test to determine my range of motion, he was able to quickly determine a series of stretches and strength exercises to help. I think my favorite part of working with Bennett is his knowledge and ability to explain complicated things in an easy to understand way, without making you feel stupid. I highly recommend Bennett if you are looking for answers that are unique to you and your situation. I couldn't image him ever giving someone a "general" or "cookie cutter" answer.
