One of a few Anytimes fitness I will give 5 stars to. Has everything that I look for in a gym. All the basics and a load of specific isolation machines. Keep clean and a friendly morning crew.
My two cons..
Showers need updates, and you can tell there is a young crowd in the evening. The majority of chest equipment has weights loaded on them.

I'm not a member here, however I did speak with the general manager Matt. Matt responded quickly to my emails and reached out to the owner of the facility to see if they could make an exception per my request. They were willing to make it work for me. The reason we are not members here has nothing to do with the facility or staff. When the time is right we will become members here. Matt provided great service and was very kind!

Great gym with lots of cardio equipment. This gym is geared for the serious weight trainer. This gym is well used by lots of people yet it doesn't seem over crowded because it's a huge Anytime and there is lots of weight equipment. Weight machines, 5 squat racks, many sets of weights. The owner is constantly updating the weight equipment You'll get a great workout here and like all Anytime's...You can work out any time!

For Anytime Fitness, the Forest Lake club is larger and has plenty of weights and machines. even at peak times its not too busy.
The only thing I would say is fill the vending machine with some energy drinks or get rid of the machine that just sits there empty.

Oh boy, where to start…
Honestly it’s gross. I recently signed up and questioned the $25 maintenance and upkeep fees that everyone pays. The main arteries of the gym are vacuumed, but you don’t have to look far off the path for the piles of dust around EVERY machine. You’re met with 3 broken treadmills as soon as you walk into the place. Doesn’t appear the the front entry tiles have been mopped along with the back “aerobic” area floor. There’s sweat drops from dried sweat 🤮 The mirrors in the back have hand and finger prints all over them. It seems the machines get fixed when they break in a timely manner.
The men’s bathroom is disgusting! They don’t supply paper towels to dry your hands after you wash them. You’re going to want to wash them because there’s not many people at all that clean after use of machines. The hand dryers don’t blow hard enough to dry your hands.
I’ve watched people bring in new yoga mats because there’s 15 torn and tattered ones for use. One woman brought in a new bin to hold hand grips for the machines because the one that was there was broken and barely holding together.
The equipment is the reason anyone even comes here. There’s a huge selection for all types of people. It’s great. But don’t go between 3:45 and 6pm. It seems a though that demographic of young people like to crowd the machines, hang out and talk then not let you work in so you can do your workout and go home.
That’s my take and I know a lot of people would agree

This Anytime has some of the best equipment around the Twin City area. The problem is that they don’t fix broken equipment. There is an out of order toilet in the men’s room for over a month and hip abduction has a 2 inch working range that hardly gives tension. They have been reported but nothing done to fix.

This Anytime is far an away better than any I've been to. I would compare it more closely to Xperience Fitness when it comes to the size of the facility and equipment that they have. It's awesome. Men's bathroom could be be better, BUT they are planning a remodel soon. I would rate this location a 4.8. But it gets 5 because it's a lot closer to 5 than 4.

Great set of machines and bars. full work out ability here. 💪 only issue is small deadlift/Olympic lift platform .

The farmers walk tread mill is a blast, not super heavy, just great cardio for strongman training.

when you see the trx and multi use area, you will be happy. The sled tank is a welcome 🙏 tool for those winter days.

The equipment at this gym is far superior to any gym north of the cities. When something breaks, it gets fixed, or replaced in no time. If you like pin selector machines, they have a full set of everything…plate loaded, all of that was well!

Tons of heavy things to lift and lots of racks to choose from. Bumper plates all way up to 75#💪. More spacious then other anytimes. Full locker rooms, few stepmills, a killer jacobs ladder + array of cardio machines. Lots of room to stretch

Aaron is very unprofessional. I had called 11 times leaving a voicemail every single time to cancel my membership, without a call back. I had emailed 2 times to cancel my membership. My fiancé had to call him off of his phone to have Aaron answer the phone. When I spoke with Aaron he was rude and pushy to keep me on my membership, but told me he would cancel me but it would charge me for the next payment. I was fine with that and agreed. He later sent me a cancellation form and I filled that out and returned it to him via email. He never responded. I looked today and 2 months later there is a payment coming out of my account that he charged me for the month we discussed/agreed to and now for another month and never cancelled my membership. I called and left a voicemail, no return. I even emailed to document and followed up with the prior email to show the history, no reply. I called my bank due to me closing the account and put a stop payment on. He is so unprofessional and the worst experience I have ever had with a gym owner.

Well It was updated without my consent and yet no call back to cancel my membership. I would happily adjust my review if this was properly resolved. My son just moved here and Anytime is very close to him. We heard it was a great gym!! He went in to see about the 7 day free trail to see if he likes the gym and location. The older white woman at the front desk said we no longer do the 7 day free trail but it’s plastered all the the website you do. She stated you know if you want to workout you don’t need a 7 day membership to determine that. He asked if him and his girlfriend could check out the facility and she stated as long as you don’t steal anything. What’s he going to steal your 75 lb dumbbells??? This is who you have representing your company??? What an embarrassment???

Pay attention to your bank statements. When you cancel, you still get charged. And then suddenly the owner's cell phone doesn't work, no one answers at the facility, and emails go without reply. I'll be starting a civil suit soon to recoup my financial losses. He won't be able to ignore that.

Aaron the owner is a great, nice guy, From free weights to machines you have everything you'll ever need at a gym here for strength. Plenty of cardio machines as well! A bit more expensive than the average gym but its worth it. (About 24-26$ Bi-Weekly) Also a real 24/7 Gym!

With my job, I am constantly on the road, and don't always have access to a hotel. So I joined Anytime, after being ensured they all have certain criteria to maintain for franchise ownership, specifically private bathrooms. I've been to many, many across the country, and the F.lake location is the only one with a community, not private bathroom. Not a big deal, until a guy comes in behind me, and starts berating me for trimming my hair, which is not against policy. Infact, some even provide inexpensive toiletries, including disposable razors in thier PRIVATE bathrooms (Houston for example). A "Look your best, be your best" attitude, not "Get pumped or get out, bro"!
Among other inappropriate things, he exclaims that this isn't even my home gym(I live here, just signed up elsewhere), in which I realised he must be the owner with access to my info., and I was under surveillance. Seems he wants to reap the benefits of owning a franchise, but then operates and polices it as his personal gym, disregarding members paid for privileges.

The Forest Lake Anytime Fitness is a great place for working out. Huge space and they have done a good job of trying to separate the hard hitting weightlifters from the other people trying to get their fitness in. That being said there are times that the weightlifters take over a lot of the space and seem to think that dropping the huge weights and making lots of noise is the thing to do. For the most part they are pretty accommodating if you want to use a machine but they can be intimidating to those of us that are there to just maintain a level of fitness. More irritating is the younger weightlifters who spend their down time on a machine messing with their cellphones while those of us who just want to get in and use a machine and move on have to wait. We will miss Forest Lake Anytime Fitness as it is hard to beat the large space and friendly people there.

I’ve been a member of Anytime Fitness in Forest Lake for many years. The owner, Brad, and all of the staff are super friendly and helpful. The gym is clean and offers all of the equipment you could want, and the staff keeps everything maintained well. There are many classes available and I love the 9:30 classes with Deb. I’ve made many friends there and recommend it as a great gym to go to in Forest Lake.

After having multiple surgeries on my knees and foot I picked this Anytime Fitness location for several reasons. It was easy to access the facility and equipment post surgery. The wide variety of exercise equipment allowing to recover my strength and use of my legs, and once recovered, equipment to maintain fitness. This facility accommodates for all skill and ability levels and the cliental is a nice mix of people of all ages and fitness levels. The staff and other members have very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a great gym to join.

A great gym! I've been going there for 7 months and I really like it. Great atmosphere and good people there. They have a great mix of equipment. Enough for a beginner or someone more advanced. I love that they have a sled to push! You don't see that in too many places. The owner Brad runs a good gym and is very personal. I've never done any of the classes but it looks like everyone enjoys them. I've been to a few other Anytime Fitness locations and none are as good as this one in my opinion.

Half the features are broken on several machines here. I I've been going here for 6 months and they were broke from day one. If I had not moved to the area and be forced to go here because of their contract I'd never be back! There are never paper towels in the restroom and they always stink like B. O. Parking lot has more holes in it than swiss cheese.
