You can always get a great workout at Apex. Never too busy as they have lots of equipment and machines. Also great place for powerlifters with their calibrated plates. My favorite things about their new location is the addition of the plate loaded belt squat and t bar row plate loaded machine. Check it out its nice

Apex Fitness is my husband and I’s favorite gym in the FM area and beyond. We live in grand forks and used to live in Moorhead and went to Apex religiously. We now drive once or twice a week to Fargo JUST to go to apex fitness. it has all the equipment that we need and also has the best atmosphere. The people, the staff, all exceptional. Always clean, always has good music, no matter when we go, it’s always a great time. I’ve seen so much progress in my fitness journey since I first started at apex, and my love for lifting started at Apex.

They need to get better at the little things. The soap dispensers in the bathroom are out frequently and they will seemingly sometimes go days without refilling them. The mirrors on the gym floor and bathroom are always dirty. They don't do a good job at making sure wipes are readily available or making sure dispensers are full. Instead of refilling dispensers they'll just leave bags of wipes on the floor next to them. If they're going to do that they might as well do what planet fitness does and leave spray bottles all over with paper towels if that would be easier. Last night all the dispensers were empty and they didn't even leave out wipes. This is the second time I've seen this since I began working out there in December. Sanitation should be high on a gyms list of priorities and there are things they should be doing daily that go weeks without getting done.

I moved to Fargo about three months ago now and this was the gym I set my eyes on. I’m not disappointed, being in the military this gym has it all, clean, good staff, great prices, good equipment even got a trap bar so I can practice deadlifts for ACFTS.

Apex feels like stepping into a powerhouse of positive vibes and energy. The lighting sets the stage for a great workout experience, enhancing every muscle pump and pushing you towards your transformation goals. With updated equipment and wifi/tv's to keep you busy waiting on your next set. Every session has been a great experience. Since August 2023, this gym has been my go-to where I've pushed my limits and have seen noticeable improvements!

I’m a be honest, I use to a be crunch fitness girl, I loved that gym, but damm ever since I moved to Fargo, I can say apex fitness is the best gym I’ve ever been to, makes me want to make something very similar back where I’m from, I highly recommend. Great facility, especially if you like nighttime workouts, it’s not too busy, and there are so many great machines! Great security too, my bf left his shoes on accident and they were exactly where he left them when he returned the next night. The only flaw is the music can get kinda loud when near speakers but there are other spaces to enjoy a quieter workout.

I joined a few months ago, but have yet to have a bad experience.

The staff are friendly and informative. Moreover, at least one or two of them I've consistently seen using the equipment there, so I know they know how to use/demo the equipment if I have questions.

Signing up was relatively easy, which can be done in-person or online. You receive a key fob and have access to the facilities 24/7, even when it's not staffed.

The facility is clean and well-maintained. The equipment, as much as I've used, is in working order.

There are 3 squat cages, a variety of weight machines, free weights, and cardio machines (treadmills, ellipticals, two stair machines). There is also a separate room where you can do resistance training or use a yoga mat.

There are two bathrooms (non-gender assigned) with at least one of them having a shower in it (I've only personally been in one of them, so I can't personally confirm that both bathrooms have showers).

It's usually not too busy, I go after work around 4:30 PM. I've only had to wait for a squat cage like twice. Seems like everyone follows gym etiquette of wiping down machines, bars, and free weights after use and resetting things back to how they're supposed to be for the next person.

There's music playing with sports on a couple TVs.

I do have a wish list of things they would change/add: towels (I know having laundry facilities is a huge cost/burden, so I understand, but it would be nice); duplicate lower weight free-weight dumb bells (specifically like 5 to 50 pounds since these are the most commonly used); lower weight rubber plate weights that can be dropped (they have like I think 25 and 45 lb rubber plate weights, but that's it for droppable ones); change the News Max channel to something non-political like sports.

This gym has literally everything you need. It was built by people who actually lift consistently themselves, unlike so many other gyms that get setup by any old Joe Shmoe. When it comes to gyms, I'm a big ambience gal, too, and Apex nails it. AND it's super clean, classy and modern.

Apex is a hidden gem of gyms in Moorhead. Outfitted with high quality power racks, three deadlift platforms, and any specialty bar you could possibly need, including the Kabuki transformer bar. This gym fits in perfect with the weekend warriors or bodybuilders, though to me it appears geared more toward the more dedicated powerlifter.

Apex is a high quality, updated facility, and you’ll be able to see that the moment you walk in the door. I love lifting here because it’s relatively low traffic and it’s conveniently close to where I live. The bathrooms are also very nice, as there are two single restrooms with showers so I can rinse off before I go to work. I highly recommend checking it out, definitely worth the cost.

I moved to Fargo in 2019 and always went to Anytime fitness I hated the environment of anytime fitness because it didn’t have the right gym vibe that I was looking for. I went and looked at Apex because it looked like something I was very interested in and the environment is very perfect for what I was looking for. Great new gym for the Fargo/Moorhead area. Staff is friendly and willing to help with any questions about equipment and their uses. Prices are low compared to other gyms in the area. 24 hr access is huge as my schedule changes constantly. The gym music is on point and not too loud, music videos while music is playing is unique and cool perk. Plenty of TVs in front of the cardio equipment, they even let you change the channel to what you want! Overall very impressed with this gym.
