Beware if your child is between ages when you start the lessons, they will charge you for the next swim level. My son was 5 months when we started lessons, he turned 6 months during our month of lessons and we got charged for the 6-24 month group. Nothing about the lessons changed. Nothing “more” was done for paying more. This information was not on the website and was not made clear until AFTER we were charged. I was not impressed with the lessons before this, but then to find out we were charged more for the same mediocre lessons was very disappointing.

Atlantis swim academy is a mid-tier swim lessons provider. Sandwiched between Foss in the top and the YMCA in the bottom.

The instructor to student ratio is kept small so that each student receives individual instructions and a chance to improve.

The management is friendly and accommodating to us and we appreciate it.

The kids find the water to be a bit salty.

Special Needs Parents need to check them out !! We have been so impressed with the services at Atlantis. We did private lessons for a couple years at another local swim school prior to COVID closures. They were so set on their "curriculum" that our child would either refuse to participate with his oppositional defiant disorder, or he would just go through the motions and not internalize much. He has made such amazing progress already in the few weeks he has been with Mary at Atlantis. Her flexibility, compassion, and attention to his needs has been outstanding and we are so happy that we changed locations!! He actually looks forward to swimming lessons now, and it is not a fight to get him out of the house to go!

We initially really enjoyed coming to ASA but then the turn over rate for swim instructors became very high and for working with little children the consistency just wasn’t there. The office doesn’t return phone calls. We had scheduled a make up lesson and showed up for it and because the office didn’t transfer it over in days the instructors wouldn’t let our son in the pool after we drove 30 minutes for the lesson. Over a week later and many phone calls and messages still no return response from them. There was also one skill listed our son needed to do in order to move up and we have yet after a year see them even practice it in the pool. Needless to say we will not be returning and trying a different place.

Our kids have been going to Atlantis Swim Academy for three years now - our oldest recently finished as she became a very confident and proficient swimmer with ASA, so no longer needs lessons. Our youngest refused to get his face and head under water for several months, but every instructor he had, was so patient and understanding, and let him get to it in his own time. We decided on a private lesson with him, and during that lesson, the instructor was able to get him to go underwater … and the rest, they say, is history! I set up a tour for my 2 year old. We waited 10 minutes while the front desk guy argued with a parent, then was cut off by 2 other parents there needing to reschedule classes. We finally have a chance to talk to the person at the front desk. He has no clue that he had scheduled a tour with us. Says "There are the showers (pointing at the showers from the lobby), that's the pool and class that he would be in (pointing at the pool). I don't know what else to tell you." What a waste of time, I don't understand how this place is still in business. We are new to the area and was excited to have this close by. We walked away, rather make a drive to a professional establishment.

After my son was going to Atlantis Swim Academy for just a 2 months, we went to a cabin. There we were: I, my 2yo son and a newborn baby on my arms as my 2yo felt from a dock into water. By the time I put baby down and run to him, he started to paddle and stand up on his own feet. So, basically he saved himself. We LOVE ASA!!! We started when our daughter was 18 months old (or so), she has had Olga, Oksana, Maria and several other teachers over the years - ALL PHENOMENAL!!! We moved to Lakeville a few years ago and made the drive because we loved it. This past winter we decided to try a swim school closer to home, and after a few weeks we realized we made the wrong call...ASA is SO worth the drive!! I’m a lifelong swimmer and new mother, and I’ve had my daughter enrolled in lessons since this past fall, when she was 3 months old. We absolutely LOVE it! I have been taking my kids here for the last year and have seen tremendous progress with all of them. I really didn't know what to expect from lessons as we had waited a little longer to get our kids signed up and thought it was a lost cause. This place is absolutely amazing. Their instructors have made our children incredibly comfortable in the water - taking them from barely being comfortable having water on their faces to being able to dive, float, and do a decent backstroke in just over a year. The staff is friendly, flexible, and knows our name and family and has gone out of their way to accommodate the crazy schedules that families of multiple children in multiple classes and activities are sure to have. We've had a birthday party there that was absolutely perfect, and their monthly kids pool parties help the kids keep up their love of water (outside of formal instruction) while mom and dad get a much needed evening out. I joined Atlantis Swim Academy after talking to my friend and having my own issues with another swim school in the area. They offer easy & direct Online Registration which means you don't have to wait weeks to hear back about availability like some other schools. They offer makeup classes when you call in your absence ahead of time and bill monthly instead of in 2 or 3 month slots.

The real highlight of this swim school is that their coaches actually take the time to correct their students. After getting frustrated watching my child repeat the same levels over and over with no correction at another swim school I knew I needed to try my friends advice. Each lesson is filled with quality instruction and correction and it has allowed my daughter to learn more here in 4 months than she did with over a year of lessons elsewhere. This is a amazing school. We brought our 3yr old son here and it did NOT go well for him for awhile. He didn't like getting his face wet, he screamed and screeched for weeks. I wanted to pull him out, but Mrs. Olga said to stick with it. Within a year, he's moved up 2 levels and can hold his breathe under water for over 10 seconds. Complete turnaround! #worththestruggle

I have signed up my 8 yrs old daughter for swim lessons at Atlantis in the fall of 2016 as a “filler” between her fall and spring sports. She instantly fell in love with the place and her instructors. At times she couldn’t decide if her favorite instructor was Oksana or Olga because they’re both exceptional instructors!! Under their tutelage my daughter was able to catch up to her 11 yrs old cousin who takes Red Cross lessons in less than a year. We could not be happier. If you’re looking for a place with warm water, friendly staff (Zack & Vlad) that bends over backwards to accommodate your sometime crazy schedule then this is it! We love Atlantis! The progress our kids have made in such a short time is incredible. Everyone at ASA is so friendly and helpful. We were nervous for our first lesson, but the ASA staff welcomed us immediately and helped us relax right away. The pools are so nice and warm, and the private showers are so clean and convenient! The coaches are very knowledgeable and kind. If you're looking for swimming lessons, don't hesitate and try Atlantis right away!

I love this place. The classes are small the the instructors are skilled. I am a busy mom. There are times when we aren't able to make it to a class and they ASA will do their best to squeeze you into another class/time. Today I got the time mixed up and asked if there was anything available? They got me in asap. Best part Olga was the instructor. I love her! She is so positive and really pushes the kids to do their best. I recommend this place to everyone!

My kids have been swimming here for the past 3 years. My experience has been positive. The instructors are very knowledgable and patient . Scheduling has always been easy and they definitely work around your schedule to give your kids the best possible times lots. The private swimming lessons are affordable and it's a neat place to host a birthday party. Best investment ever

ASA is simply awesome!!! We have been bringing our 3 year old daughter to swim classes for the past two years and she LOVES it here! We all do! The teachers/coaches/staff are all fantastic...I cannot say enough. The facility is amazing - private showers, perfectly sized pools for a teaching atmosphere, warm water, beautiful + fun painted murals and decor, a viewing area outside of the pool which is great for Grandma's and Grandpa's to come watch! And they are reasonably priced! And, yes I am RAVING about ASA because they are that good!!

I have had my 4 year old daughter enrolled here since she was 6 months old and she has absolutely loved it. The instructors are amazing and the staff is polite and prompt to address any issues that come up. If you are looking for a place that can get your 3 year old swimming independently then this is the place for you. Not only do they have monthly activities for the kids but they also host birthday parties! You couldn't really ask for much more in a swim school, thanks for getting my little girl swimming on her own!

We were in town for a week visiting family and my 4 yr old had 5 days of 30 minute lessons with Oksana What an amazing week for our son - though he had already taken several lessons at the Atlantis, my son improved his confidence and now he jumps in and can easily get himself to the edge. We are thrilled! Thanks Atlantis!!!

I wanted to get my son enrolled in their swim school and let them know that he was a very scared and slow to warm up. The instructors assured me they would be patient and have experience working with children who possess similar attributes. So I took my son to the free trial lesson and the instructor was cold and frustrated with my son after about 5 minutes. Trial lesson was supposed to be .5 hour and ended early due to her inability demonstrate any patience with my son. They suggested private lessons at an all extremely inflated rate. I ended up taking my son down the road to aqua tots and they were willing to work with him and the prices are cheaper. If you have a timid child whose maybe scared to swim initially don't bother with this place!!

Swimming lessons at Atlantis were the highlight of our 3 year old son’s week, by far! I have never seen him more excited than when it was swimming lessons time! His teacher, Oksana, was terrific with him. All the staff was very helpful and friendly. And the facilities are great, very uncrowded and clean. Sometimes my son’s class of 4 kids was the only one in the pool.

My daughter started the Guppies Program about two months ago (when she started, she was 11 months old). She loves it! She smiles when we pull up in parking lot now. The instructors are engaging in a way she is able to comprehend at her young age. She is learning how to float on her back, blow air in the water to make bubbles, how to 'jump in'.. Overall, I'm so glad she has begun to understand what water can do and what it is. She is confident, but cautious. I couldn't be happier with the instructors & the overall clean, warm, inviting atmosphere of the facility!

Atlantis Swim Academy is a great place for birthday parties. We just had my 9 year old daughters party there and everyone really enjoyed it. The kids loved having the pools all to themselves. The staff was great at keeping the kids entertained with games. They made it very relaxing for the parents as well. Highly recommended!!!
