I love Big River Yoga! Due to the variety of classes and highly skilled teachers, there is something for every BODY. I value that yoga modifications are offered to make the poses accessible to yogis at various stages of their practice. While the yoga strength class felt like a gym studio class (which some people prefer), most of the yoga classes I've taken do a great job of addressing the mind, body, and spirit. It's a great convenience that some classes are offered remotely, so I can attend even when I'm out of town or don't have the time to drive to the studio in person. My only regret is that I didn't find Big River Yoga sooner!

Big River Yoga is a fantastic studio. The facilities are very clean, all staff members are incredibly accommodating and the instructors are super attentive. Different variations of poses are offered to cater to people in all of the different stages of their yoga journey. Donβt expect to lift weights or have pop music playing in the background throughout class as you might have experienced at other studios. Big River Yoga offers classes that are true to the art of yoga by focusing not only on the movement, breath and poses but by also incorporating the mental and spiritual aspects of the practice in an easily digestible manner. This is undoubtedly my favorite studio that I have ever attended.

I love Big River! I tried out a lot of studios, but none made me feel as comfortable and at home being new to yoga as Big River does. The instructors are all great- they focus on proper alignment to really learn to do yoga safely.

Really fantastic studio. Very accessible yet challenging. Whether yoga/meditation/spirituality/exercising are for you or not, Gerri has a way of making it for everyone. I pretty consistently hated intentional breathing and core exercises until attending Gerri's classes-- she is a fantastic instructor. Other good instructors as well. In general it's a very nice, peaceful place, with a variety of attendees, accepting all levels.

I remember sitting outside eating at Birchwood CafΓ© and wondering about the new yoga studio across the street. Big River Yoga--when did that pop up? Who goes there? It took me a couple of years before I walked in the door. I had decided to see what would happen if I attended classes regularlyβhow would yoga and my inflexible body get along? Big River's schedule was varied enough that I could go several times a week, so I decided on the spot to sign up for the introductory membership, an exceptionally good deal for a month of yoga.
I didn't know what else I would find there. Spoiler alert: It's wonderful. The big studio window letting in early morning sun or starlight at evening, the smooth blond wood floor I step across in bare feet to lay out my mat or put away my props, the gifted, experienced teachers who guide me and my fellow yogis through poses that encourage exploration and growth that for me is physical, spiritual, and sometimes emotional, the patience and kindness and compassion that circulates among teachers and students for one another and for the wider world, the respite and calm that I try to take with me when I rise out of corpse pose (a good thing), say my Namastes, and leave again, the quickly dawning sense that however inflexible my body has been, it is exactly right for yoga, that bodies simply are right for yoga, whether we can touch our toes or not.
After my introductory month, I became a member. I've been to over 250 classes now and have learned enough that I can guide myself through a sequence of poses at home in a pinch, but, when I miss a day of classes, my body and my mind let me know that I want to get back to the studio and the welcoming Big River community soon. Om, shanti, shanti, baby, peace, peace, peace. In case you canβt tell by now if youβve read this far,or if you just skipped to the end, let me make it clear: Boy, do I love Big River Yoga.

This is wonderful studio with great instructors and a welcoming community of students. There is a good variety of classes to choose from and the prices are competitive with other studios in town. They occasionally offer special classes and workshops, which are always fun and interesting. The owners, Chris and Nora, are wonderful people who truly care about their members health and well-being.

I love Big River Yoga. Practicing now for 10+ years, I am appreciative of the high level of instruction I receive at BRY. I attend a variety of class styles through out the week and each instructor is able provide great feedback that has instant results. I love that there is variety and that we are not always focused on sun salutations. I am challenged when I need to be challenged but also met "where I at" when I need that. Thanks Chris and Nora for creating a fun, safe, and great yoga experience for all. Your instructors and offerings of other services and events makes BRY a fantastic place to practice.

I appreciate the intimate, community feeling I get when I enter the studio at Big River Yoga; the space emulates the neighborhood in which it resides.
The class sizes are just right for me. In other studios I've attended, I've often felt like a canned sardine. At Big River Yoga, I'm treated as an individual, not just another body filling the space. This individualized attention helps me feel supported in deepening my practice.
