My daughter has been going to classes for over a year now, and she can't do one thing on the floor. They rotate from the trampoline, Tumbl Trak and floor. I should preface this by saying she's also a dancer and a very dedicated student and can learn difficult choreographer in one day, so she's not a slow learner. She likes going to class and thinks the teachers are nice, but she also feels that after they get the basics down on the tramp/Tumbl they should focus more on the floor because she's not just there to have fun, she wants to learn skills she can do on the floor at dance not just when she's playing on the trampoline. It's extremely disappointing that she can't do so much as an aerial on the floor at this point.

So for me my experience wasn't the best. it might of been the people in the class but i wanted to be serious about gymnastics and the kids kept talking i couldnt hear the teacher it was very hard to hear so i kept asking what we needed to do after she told us what to do.

Classic Gymnastics in Chanhassen has been a total win for our daughter Sophia—and for us as parents too. The coaches are upbeat, encouraging, and clearly know their stuff. They’ve helped Sophia build strength, coordination, and confidence, and she comes out of each class beaming (and sometimes doing cartwheels across the parking lot).

We originally signed up just to get her moving and trying something new, but she loved it from day one. The atmosphere is energetic but welcoming, and the staff do a great job of creating a positive environment where kids can grow at their own pace. Whether your child is a total beginner or flipping off the furniture at home, Classic Gymnastics meets them where they’re at.

Sophia is really hoping to be invited to join their team program, and she couldn’t be more excited. She’s working hard and feels proud of her progress, which is fun to watch as a parent. We’ve seen her set goals and go after them—sometimes literally, with a running start and a round-off.

Overall, it’s just a great place to be. The facility is clean and well-organized, the coaches are awesome, and most importantly, our daughter is thriving. If you’re looking for a gymnastics program that’s both fun and focused, Classic Gymnastics is definitely worth checking out.

We love Classic Gymnastics! They truly understand children, love what they do, and lift up each child they interact with! We have not been involved in competitive gymnastics to date but have had the most wonderful experience with their recreational program for our little guy. Their weekly classes are excellent and in-house meets are so much fun for the kids. Their birthday parties are also top notch! Organized, friendly, and overall fantastic :)

We had our son’s birthday party here - not only does it look like they are fully equipped for some very advanced gymnastics training, but they do a great job with birthdays as well.

In a short time, the staff knew all of the names of the children at the party and made sure everyone had fun.

Very much recommend for a birthday party and again, it looks like they mean business on the serious gymnastics, too!

Super bummed by my experience at Classic Gymnastics with my 6 year old son. It was his first experience with gymnastics so we signed up for beginner, only to find when we were there that because of how few boys there are, the class was combined with much older kids (maybe up to 13?) some of whom were doing hands-free cart-wheels, back handsprings, etc. So it was very intimidating for my little guy. In addition, there was very little actual instruction. They just moved around the gym to different stations and it seemed like the kids were just doing actions vs. being coached. E.g. my son supposed to be doing supported handstands but doing them completely wrong with no one paying attention or explaining to him how to do it. Last, there are not sessions here. You just pay monthly and show up until you cancel. So in the 8 weeks we tried it out, my son had 4 different teachers. As a somewhat shy kid, he never got comfortable because he didn't get to know any of the coaches well and none of them got to know him. We cancelled and have signed up for another gym in hopes of a better situation for a beginner.

Couldn’t recommend Classic Gymnastics more for a birthday party! We just had my daughter’s 6th birthday party there with 17 friends and the Classic team did an AMAZING job with them! They were so thoughtful and helpful and did a great job running the show. My daughter also loves their camps and is looking forward to joining weekly lessons this year!

The Gymnastics classes are OK. Some of the coaches are excellent while others fall short on motivating and inspiring the athletes. The biggest complaint is that of the management team and their lack of communication. Inquiries into programming changes are not returned in a timely fashion. The general attitude of this company appears to be a deal with it or leave approach we don't need to communicate with our customers.

This is the worst gymnastics i have ever joined my daughter to. The faculty is really poor, staff members and instructors have rude behaviour and doesn't really teach well . They just show the kids how to perform instead of helping the kids to go next level.

My daughter has been training at Chanhassen location for a few years now. The coaches are great, the program and so is the facility. I wanted to especially recommend their birthday program. We celebrated her birthday there and they went beyond our expectations! They decorated the places very nice, they helped with the set up of things that we brought, they were so well organized with everything. The activities were wonderful! Both coaches were great. They were very attentive to the birthday girl and to the other kids that we invited. They had fun, creative, age appropriate and safe activities planned. The coaches also came to celebrate with her after they finished the gym activities and even helped us carry things back to the car. Like I said - beyond our expectations. Highly recommend. Thank you guys- you are great!

We love Classic! I have a 5 year old and two 3 year olds and it has been a fantastic start to gymnastics for them. It's tough not to like what Classic is all about. We were at another gym -- and really liked it there, but it lacked the full breadth of experience, equipment and coaching that Classic provides. The drive is a bit more than we hoped - but I can't blame that on Classic! All in all, I have nothing but good things to say about my daughter's time (almost 2 years) with her teammates and coaches.
