First off: I love the instructors at the studio, so this review has nothing to do with the quality of the classes or teaching.

I’m adding this review of only two stars because for the past week, the studio showers have no warm water. I was told last Monday and today that the showers would be fixed and as someone who has to commute after class directly to work and knows students who are in the same position, this is unacceptable, especially as the weather becomes extremely cold. I was dismayed when I came in today exactly one week later only to find that the showers were not repaired. All we got a students was a simple we’re sorry, but our water doesn’t work….

Coming out of a heated yoga class to a shower with no warm water is hazardous to your health and can potentially cause medical issues due to the extreme changes in temperature. As someone who has to commute I had no choice and the matter and had to shower all the same.

While one occurrence of this being an issue is one thing, having it happen twice in one week is honestly just unprofessional. I say this is somebody who’s been going to Core Power Yoga since 2023. To boot, the facility is still not on par with the others that I’ve been to (Woodbury, or grand Avenue). I can never recall a time even in the most extreme cold temperatures that either of these other studios I’ve been to has ever had a heated water issue.

The fact that it’s been a week and this continues to occur tells me that there could be something wrong with the water tank and that the studio never got it fixed.

This is disappointing as once again I am emphasizing the instructors are excellent and the class offerings are good. Overall, I think the studio just needs a little more care, especially when it comes to things like having to run heated running water.

I’m a member who’s been paying full price for the all access membership and have been very satisfied with my overall Core Power Yoga experience but this studio appears to be an outlier in that regard…

Great classes! Great location!

Downside is the hottest locker room I have ever been in. I understand it’s summer but I like to shower after class and I still leave as sweaty as before I showered. Feels like for $150+ with no towels offered we could atleast expect the locker room to be usable.

three years later, I'm changing the rating to 4, for the following reasons:
1. theft is reduced greatly! yeah! thank you.
2. cleaner.
3. They kept the best instructors like Rebecca, Kyle, and many others. Thank you!
4. I'm not giving 5 because the shower stalls are still filthy and moldy. Once that's fixed, I'll change the rating again.

thank you for your great teaching and managing.

just want to give a warning: there's persistent theft going on there. It happened to me three times in a row. Today in 30 seconds, someone grabbed my phone I left in a bag, and when I came out of the bathroom, in 30 seconds, the phone was gone. It's a brand new phone. three days ago, I came out of hot yoga, and someone took all of my clothes, leaving me nothing to bike home with, in a freezing night. So watch out for your stuff.
I tried to call, register and show up for classes but the times you post on website don’t match and you don’t answer the phone! When I show up the door is locked! So how do you expect people to take classes? Are you going to refund us? If you can’t offer classes during the virus then you should not charge us?

I have practiced for years at the various CorePower studios in the Twin Cities, including Highland Park, and I have to be honest here, even after recent renovations, this facility remains below the high standards of the others. Although the linoleum has been replaced in the men’s locker room, the showers remain dismal in terms of quality and operation, including little to no temperature control. My latest experience there had me explaining to the guy at the front desk that there were zero locks available, and only 2 lockers had them in place downstairs, so I was careful to check that it wasn’t due to high number of users. His response, instead of going into the store room to get more, was β€œuhhh, yeah, I think people steal them.” Okay, now I reallllly feel confident in leaving my stuff unlocked. So I may have to spring for a lock. No biggie, but I have NEVER run out of locks across all the other Core Power studios in the city.

What I observe at this studio, nowadays, is people sitting around the front desk talking loudly with each other, locked into their personal conversations, while we come in and out, largely ungreeted. So here’s the thing, there is a management problem at this studio, as these things don’t seem to make it onto their radar screen. So, although it is a lively place with good teachers, the very best Core Power studios are literally anywhere else in town. The Highland Park studio is dirty. The cheap, old building continues to disintegrate around us all.

This CorePower location isn't close to home for me, but I was here for two C1 classes before Teacher Training lectures. This CP location is similar to others: cozy, clean and welcoming -- and has 3 studios to take classes in. Rita and Rebecca were amazing teachers to practice with! Would highly recommend.

I love the staff and class offerings at this location. It is also beneficial to have easy access to parking. I have been to many classes here and will definitely keep coming back.

My only complaints are about the locker room. The air barely moves, making it impossible to dry off after class, and the musty odor is becoming close to unbearable.

Love this studio and the teachers! One of the few in the Twin Cities that has a Core Cardio Circuit class still on the schedule - which if you haven't yet... take this class! Not your traditional yoga class but a fun cardio option to break up your practice!

I was introduced to Yoga Sculpt when CPY first opened up in St. Paul and I've been hooked ever since. Finally, a class that combines the flow elements of yoga with all its bodily - posture centric focus enhanced with weights to strengthen and tone. The heat in the studio amps up the challenge and the great instructors and fun music playlist make this my jam session. Oh and yes, I also forgot that I worked out in the process!

I love core power yoga and the highland park location is one of my favorite. You are always greeted by a friendly face and some of them are really good with names (I noticed this after my first week, a couple of instructors remembered my name which I did not expect but made me feel really welcomed and a part of the studio). Although is is smaller than some studios I have visited, they have great teachers to lead you through your practice. They studios and locker rooms are very clean and safe. They offer classes all day which makes it convenient to go whenever you have time. I also really love that they are drop in classes as opposed to committing to a specific day and time each week as my busy and unpredictable schedule does not allow me to make that commitment.
