This place is my second home. I have been involved in CrossFit for 7 years, and 4 of those years have been here. It is one big family. I have so much love and respect for my coaches and fellow athletes. I also took part in the Nutrition Planning with Nellie starting February 2023. She is an incredible coach; non judgemental, always there for advice when needed. The planning and meal prep/organization that I took from this coaching is at almost 1 year. I have seen tremendous gains (or losses :) I dropped a total of 23 pounds that are still off, and body fat went from 18% to 13.6%. I am more lean, and so happy with what I have learned and applied to my daily routine! So thankful for Nellie and this community!

I’m very happy with the Nutrition Plan meals provided through Edina Crossfit. It makes it very easy for me to eat consistently well-balanced meals, taking into account my need for variety, specific food intolerances, as well as my macro goals. Thank you Nellie, for helping me with these needs!

I can't imagine my life without CrossFit Edina and its community. I've been a member of CFE and nutrition client of Jen's for 4ish years now. This gym is much more than fitness and has helped me transform my life in ways I never thought possible. If you're looking for an all encompassing wellness center this place is the place for you!

If you are fat, out of shape, dealing with some bad joints, pain, getting on in years, certainly not young anymore, wondering if you are going to be able to the things in retirement that you want to do, can afford it, wanna be around some very competent but chill people who provide a lot of positive reinforcement and can afford it…….this is the place for you.

I’d give a five but I almost never do. 5 means perfect. There is always something that could get better. In this case it could be free.

This place is not free. It takes a financial commitment and is priced in the middle of the market at a slight prem but it’s your health. A little premium is worth it. If you just show up and keep moving and trying ……it’s going to be worth every penny.

This place might seem a little intimidating at first but there is a real spirit of uplift and encouragement in the gym. I've been training with Joey for a year now and he's awesome. Providing challenging workouts, noticeable results in my ability and body composition, education on effects of food and exercise, holistic approach to health, lends an ear for emotional support, and overall swell guy.

I love this place. The community, the coaching, the workouts, all of it. I have appreciated the accountability from other members who are consistently at the gym for classes as well as the friendly (and hella smart) coaches who make intimidating workouts approachable. It’s so nice to just show up and know I’m going to have a great workout, not to mention a lot of fun while I’m at it.

Coaches were great and everyone at the gym was welcoming! I dropped in for a Saturday workout - someone quickly introduced themselves for the partner wod, coaches made sure everyone was moving well, and we got in a fun morning workout outside. Will definitely return next time I’m in town!

Coach Joey is an outstanding coach! I have been training with him for almost one year and I am stronger than ever! I have had back pain that was debilitating for years, but Joey has helped me get back my mobility and strength so my everyday life has improved immensely. He has designed my training specifically to me to meet my goals and I look forward to each session.

I have been taking one on one training sessions with Joey Custode. He’s helped me drastically improve my overall health! In particular, my bone health, as I was diagnosed with osteoporosis a little over a year ago at only 55 years old. I can now deadlift 165 Ibs! My neck problems and low back pain are a distant memory. No two sessions are the same and I have learned so much about sleep, recovery and protein intake -it’s the best investment I’ve ever made💪

I had the pleasure of dropping in to CrossFit Edina for a couple workouts last week while in Minnesota for business. It’s easy to sign up for a drop in through their website.

Both 6 am classes were taught by Emilee. She does a great job explaining the workout with tips and scaling options. The gym has good space and all the equipment you need for a workout. I’ll be back there next time I’m in town.

I joined CFE at the start of 2023. It’s been a great place to workout! The community is very friendly and the coaches are knowledgeable. Here’s a small example of what I mean: we use SugarWod to record our workout results. I’ve used SugarWod at other gyms, so this wasn’t new to me. But what was new to me was how many fist bumps and comments I got on what I recorded! This is just one example of how the community shows up for each other. It’s a great gym!

When a bunch of passionate, caring people comes together as Trainers, results would be always amazing.!

It feels like trainers are not there for just a 'job', instead they love what they are doing. You can see that in every class. For one of the 6:30pm batch I was the only person there, Coach was absolutely happy to train for just one person!!

Every class starts with initial jam sessions, teaching the basics. Trainers will be with you through out the class monitoring our postures, supporting whenever it's necessary. Best part is at least one of the trainer will do workout with you..!!

I am a 69 -year- old female who has never had a personal trainer before. For the last few months, I can only rave about my experience at CrossFit. Being physically challenged by my trainer for that hour a week is not my "cup of tea", but I do it knowing the health benefits are in my best interest. He seems to know just how hard to push me. I also feel he genuinely cares about me and doesn't just look at me as being just another client.

Great gym - first in the state. Long history, defined culture, knowledgeable people.

Just have to say that, as a fellow affiliate owner and somebody who travels to CrossFit gyms far and wide, the review below about the shirt not being included in the drop in is about as clear an example of the problem with the drop in process and mindset of the average CrossFit customer as one could get.

If you're dropping in from out of town and a gym is kind enough to have you in to their house and redirect resources and attention to you, a non member who will go away after 60 minutes, you should treat it like being invited to grandma's for dinner - turn the manners up, be glad simply for a table to sit at, go above and beyond to be an exceptional guest. We're in the CrossFit business. Business' have to sell things to stay alive. We don't give t-shirts away either at our affiliate but our guests are welcome to buy them.

At any rate - this place rocks.

Good workout, nice members. Coach was attentive. Would’ve been five stars if the owner didn’t make me feel stupid for asking if a shirt was included with the drop in fee. I’ve been collecting them this way for years. *shrug*

Welcoming, clean, professional, friendly, and accommodating. I was quite nervous to take my first class but Christina did a great job of making me feel welcome in the Evolutions class (a combination of olympic lifts introduction, form-coaching, and an actual WOD). The emphasis on form and safety is refreshing after my many years in globo gyms watching people break down their bodies to get a few extra reps or pounds. The attendees have great attitudes and while the intensity levels of some individuals can seem initially intimidating, they are also the types who will bend over backward to help you out with form or tips or just general fitness information.

A great place to get in shape AND enjoy it.

Unlike some fake profiles out there, I posted an actual picture on my profile that shows me standing outside of CFMN, lest anyone still has any doubts about my authenticity (that gesture in my profile pic is for you, Brian). And my name IS Charley- last name, Lee. You would think someone writing a phony review would want to sign off using a more reasonable sounding name, like: BRIAN JACOBS rather than a silly sounding one like “Charley Lee”. Charley is what everyone calls me- it is short for Charlton. Who the hell would go out of their way to make that up?!! Please, don’t pay any attention or give any credence to this idiot who calls himself or herself "Brian Jacobs". Now that we've got that silliness out of the way, here's my review of CFMN:

Joining CrossfitMN has been a tremendously positive life experience for me. After a personally difficult year which included a drastic move to Minneapolis (I had never lived in the Midwest before moving here nor did I have any friends out here besides work colleagues), I was looking to find something new and challenging to occupy my time. I am 36 years old, in so-so shape, but very much bored with just going to the gym and lifting weights. That routine is just old and only marginally beneficial at this point for me. A friend who had taken Crossfit classes in California recommended it to me and as luck would have it, I happened upon CrossfitMN. Before I began my search, my buddy told me specifically to "beware of imposter gyms, make sure your place has dedicated instructors, and make sure the other members are people you will enjoy working with". Ladies and Gentlemen, CrossfitMN is the real deal- and has been all of the above and more. It has incredible instructors, a great team-oriented atmosphere, and some really great people from all walks of life, all ages, and all different levels of experience. It's a credit to the owner and the instructors that they are able to bring such a diverse group of people together into a cohesive team experience. I had been involved with martial arts as a teenager until my early 30s, so I know the value and importance of a good teacher. There are some places you will go to for instruction and you can tell right away that the teacher does not care for you as an individual. They go through the motions with the group and leave you to fend for yourself afterwards. They do not take the time out to monitor your form, your well-being, or your progress. In those types of classes, you feel like just another membership fee to them. This is not the case at CFMN. The instructors are meticulously detail-orientated. This was evident from my first trial day, where one teacher ran me through a test workout in a corner while another was teaching an actual class. Although there is only one instructor per class, both teachers intently watched myself AND the class at the same time. The instructor who was teaching the actual class took time away to come over to my corner, introduce himself, and observe my efforts. He came over to see how I was doing, how my workout was going, and asked about my background in fitness. While he did that, the instructor who was actually assigned to giving me a personal workout watched the students in the class while holding my feet down for sit-ups and yelled out instructions and encouragement to different people by name. This told me right away that the teachers cared about each of their students. They care about your circumstances, your performance, and your progress in the program. Speaking as a martial artist, when you have instructors like this- you know you will learn a lot. And the people that work out beside you at CFMN are such a great group of characters. They are all so supportive, positive, and accountable to each other. We laugh often and we work hard together during class. I have made some friends along the way but that is just the icing on the cake to an ultimately invigorating, challenging, and well-taught workout regimen here at CFMN. I recommend it to anyone who just wants to be better in life, period.

I have worked out at multiple crossfit gyms across the country and CrossFit Minnesota ranks right up there. The philosophy of crossfit is alive and kicking at this facility. From beginners to crossfit veterans, you will range of fitness and expertise at the gym. The trainers foster a sense of community, that helps you set goals and achieve them.

Like any other endevour, you will get what you put in.

I started at CFMN four years ago, and find the gym to be awesome! There is such a positive vibe that the owner and members have created. Everyone is supportive and help each other reach their goals. Whether it is lifting more weight, running a marathon or improving their diet, you will find the gym is a support group and will help you surpass your goals . People say they hear crossfit is too hard for them, I say give it a try, because crossfit is as hard as you want it to be, you can make modifications for every skill if you need and the trainers there are great at helping you do so. Wouldn't go anywhere else, this is the gym for me!

This used to be the top Crossfit gym in the twin cities until the last year when the owner seems to have let his ego take over the reputation of the gym. They boast they were the original Crossfit which they may have been but since then they seem to have become lax in their instruction - often the trainers aren't even paying attention. there has been so much turnover in trainers and they just recently lost another one of their really good/experienced male trainers who was there for years. This place is NOT what is was and with all the new Crossfit gyms in town now, do your research before joining. Being the first doesn't mean you are still the best.

I started a few months ago and was somewhat hesitant to join. While I was somewhat active it was mainly just running and lifting dumbbells at my local gym. The thought of joining a place that used olympic style barbell lifts and many other complex workouts in a group setting had me questioning if I would feel alienated or discouraged.

I gave it a shot anyway and was blown away with how much I enjoyed it. The instructors were helpful, encouraging and kind. They were incredibly helpful and worked with me on proper form and safety. I never once felt belittled, only encouraged to continue to try harder and do even better.

The other members are the same way, they are always encouraging and motivating. You really feel like you're all in it together to succeed. It's a fun, challenging environment that is unlike anything else I've been a part of.

If you're thinking about giving CrossFit a shot, I highly recommend it. No matter where you are fitness wise, you'll be challenged. You might even make a few friends while doing it.
