This location has really not been the cleanest. This past week there was a woman in there, I believe her name was Michelle and she was actually getting things done. The bathrooms are actually looking good. Feeling fresh. I am hoping this is a fresh start to this gym. She showed that she cared about the gym. I'm hoping to see her kind and caring face around more often. If it continues to be like the past week, I will be changing this to a 5 star review.

Truck driver friendly. Point lost because of the locker room. Shower wouldn’t get hot and again another location without a shelf or anything hanging from shower head so you’re forced to put your stuff on the ground. Any good owner/manager/employee who uses facility should easily notice this issue. Lockers full of trash and obviously not being monitored and cleaned and 2 of 3 sinks not working and the other barely works, disgusting. Everything else was good

If I could give no stars, I would. I had a really uncomfortable experience at this Crunch Fitness. Sam the personal trainer was extremely unprofessional and asks clients out on dates during their workouts. It made the environment feel unsafe and completely inappropriate. No one should have to deal with that at the gym. Members should be able to focus on their fitness without feeling pressured or harassed. I can’t recommend this location until management addresses this behavior and creates a safer, more respectful environment. I will be canceling my membership because I refuse to pay for a place where I don’t feel comfortable.

My experience with Crunch Fitness was terrible. The cancellation process is a scam, designed to be impossible. I was misled and given the runaround with conflicting information and unavailable managers.
Despite multiple documented attempts to cancel, they continued to bill my account. This company relies on deceptive practices to trap customers. Save yourself the headache and choose a different gym.

It's a gym. There's generally enough equipment where you don't wait long, the clients often leave the weights around, but that's less on the gym itself. Left my old gym due to open hours; this crunch is not 24/7, due to mall location, which is a downside, but the price isn't terrible. Staff are fairly nice. Watch for the 12 month contract for the cheap rate and the yearly fee even for the non contract.

They’re Not Honest
Honestly, this place feels like a scam. When I signed up, the guy told me there was no contract, which is the only reason I joined. I trusted him and didn’t read the fine print—my mistake—but later I found out I was locked into a 12-month contract.
I’ve tried to cancel multiple times (at least four), and I’m still getting calls from collections and being charged late fees again and again. I’ve probably paid double or even triple what I expected.
When I told them what happened, they basically said it was my fault for not reading the contract. The manager was not helpful at all—she didn’t try to explain anything or fix the issue, even though their staff clearly misled me during sign-up.
I’ve had such a frustrating experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anyone. If you're looking for a gym, Planet Fitness is way better—they’re more transparent and professional.

Could be a good place, but sadly if you want a Sauna, you really can't get one there. Whoever designed the sauna was incompetent, a nice tall ceiling, where all the heat is over your head, not relaxing if you have to stand up to get hot, and the then only 150°. A Sauna NEEDS to be 180° at head height when sitting on the top bench. The lower bench will be 20° cooler. It's like having a 'cold plunge" where the the water is just tepid. It defeats the whole point of a Sauna if you have to sit there for 25 minutes and your heart rate never increases. All Sauna stoves are designed for lightly splashing water to raise the humidity. This seemingly simple act, known as löyly in Finnish, unlocks a cascade of benefits and elevates the sauna experience. Right now Crunch has just a poorly designed 'warm box' that is a waste of time and provides really no benefit.

Just recently joined this gym. The atmosphere and staff have been positive. My biggest concern is the women’s locker room and restroom. The floors are full of hair and toilet paper, the toilets are dirty and stink, and the counters are full of hair and dirt. I’ve gone 3 days in a row now and the locker room and restroom conditions haven’t changed. I understand if you are short on female staff, but just closing it for 10-15mins to sweep and wipe down things would go a long way. Overall it’s been a good experience.

Crunch is new and has LOTS of machines and weights, which is great. You can find anything you need and will hardly ever wait for a machine or a space. But management needs to get basic cleanliness under control by enforcing membership rules. Easily 1/3 of the people I see at Crunch wear street shoes on the machines and/or don't wipe down machines after use. The machines look much older than they are as a result and it's sad. Saturday I got on one that was sticky. Yuck.

6/14/25. Gym staff forces members to use flashlight 6 mins before closing time. Lights stayed off from 8:54 pm till 9pm. This was very unsafe and unprofessional, people on treadmill could've gotten hurt from the "sudden forced blackout". I myself was placing my barbell down when staff shut lights off and ended it up misplacing it and got my foot🤦🏽‍♂️. Some of the members showed their frustration to staff when leaving and what they got in return was racial slurs. I honestly don't know or understand how crunch tolerates this kind of behavior from their staff. DO BETTER PLEASE.

They have so much fine print that you depend on them telling you what you’re signing. It like signing a mortgage except unlike a realtor they don’t tell you everything. Never heard of a personal trainer contract that is never ending, so when I’m told it’s for 12 weeks, 3 sessions a week I believe them. Well it’s not. It automated endlessly and you have to go in person to cancel it. So not only have I paid $1500 more then planned the damn personal trainer was never available really I got maybe half of the session wanted not to mention the 24 sessions I didn’t know I’d be paying for. Stay away, I sure hope the franchise owner Brian Hibbard CEO of Fitness Ventures is embarrassed by how his employees scam people.

Edit: That’s funny since when I came in the head of personal training I talked to said they wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t explained right by the staff signed up with and apologized. Also inter that the head of personal training when we signed up “no longer works here.”

It’s a great gym. Plenty of equipment if you’re not one of the idiots that goes at peak gym times, then leave reviews saying it’s too busy and there is no parking when it’s located in a strip mall.

Also the lack of finished walls/unpainted spots aren’t really an issue as you should be going in to work out not check out the scenery. However if it really bothers you there are about 20 televisions scattered throughout the place so you could always watch those.

-Spots that have paper towels and spray should have two of each so that the odds of both running out is unlikely (it’s annoying and inconvenient to have to tell staff that paper towels/spray is out, it’s happened too much) staff should be doing regular walk arounds every 30min to 1 hr to make sure things are full. At Kwik trip they do hourly bathroom checks. Crunch should have a similar system for paper towels and bathrooms.

Overall I’d rate higher if it was a bit more cleaner in bathrooms and that the paper towels/spray wasn't out so often. I would recommend crunch to a friend as it has a lot of equipment, and hope a company when they get feedback like this acknowledges the feedback, and makes proper changes to run a better company.

As far as the customers, I totally agree that's it's alot of young people that have never been to gym before and just there to hang around and get un the way and 20 of them gathering in the locker room its very very annoying. Just give it a few months, and it will clear up as long as they don't keep giving out free months of membership. Gonna be a solid gym, I think. If it stays that same, I'll go somewhere else. Definitely gonna have issues with membership if not dealt with quickly and stop for a while with all the free months!

Also, maybe think of a scanning mechanism of some kind to unlock the door after 10pm and still have staff on hand. Potential to have security issues for those of us that come in there when it's cleared out a bit.

The place is fine- the cardio equipment is dirty/super dusty. The women’s bathroom was a nightmare- dust/hair balls everywhere especially on the ground. The sinks had a bunch of water around them, yet full staff talking at the front desk- super weird and tacky. Why pay people if they can’t do their job? And the tanning beds- YIKES. Really wanted to be happy with this place. The equipment is great. Lots of equipment to use even on the busiest of time you can get things done.

The downfall are as follows. The cleanliness of the facility continues to be an issue. Have talked with management about it a couple of times and it doesn’t change. Last example was on Saturday morning go in and there are dust ball all over the men’s floor in the changing room. Tell the manager on Duty and a hour and half later nothing has changed. Plenty of staff at the front counter that could take care of the issue but it seems everyone has the attitude of not my job.

Storage space for people wanting to change to work out. The storage area is too small for the facility. In addition I have watched employees trainers use the storage areas in the changing rooms to store their stuff while they are working. So employees are being forced to take up valuable space that cause the paying public not to be able to use.

Ownership has chosen not to participate in insurance refund programs. Talked with management and was advised that the owner/group of the gym has told management to not participate in gym membership refund programs through insurance. No reason given other than that’s what they were told. When I signed up I asked and was assured that they would do it. Planet fitness in St. Cloud does it with no problem. And it’s not a small insurance company one of the larger ones in mn.

Parking again watch staff park up front and make customers park farther away. Not a good way to run a business.

Final Review for Crunch Fitness

I was excited to check out the new Crunch Fitness, but the experience has been disappointing. The grand opening was lackluster—dirty floors, unfinished locker rooms, and a chaotic setup process where it seemed like no one knew what they were doing. Every time I walked in, they tried to recruit me as a trainer just because I look like I lift.

Within the first week, the dumbbell rack was already a mess, with weights randomly scattered like 32.5, 65, 30, 70, 70, 70, 70, 60, 25, 75, 17.5, 25, and 60. Clearly, the staff isn’t prioritizing basic organization. Parking is also an issue, with the lot full even when the gym is nearly empty. The crowd is either very young or much older, with no in-between.

For the price, you’re better off going to Planet Fitness. The hours were one of the biggest letdowns. They initially posted 24/4 weekday hours, which is why I signed up—I work out around 2-3 a.m. before work. On my second day, I arrived at 3 a.m., and the gym was closed. Now, they’ve changed their hours to open at 5 a.m. on weekdays and 7 a.m. on weekends. This felt deceptive, as the hours were a major reason I chose this location.

On top of all that, the gym etiquette is terrible. Most members seem like they’ve never been to a gym before. I’m not usually strict about wiping down machines, but at least put the weights back in the right spot. People are camping out on machines for 30-45 minutes, which is frustrating when there aren’t multiple available. Really glad we have this place in town! Tanning beds are great, hydromassage beds are great, the staff are friendly and helpful, my personal trainer is top notch, like the variety of equipment and the amount of space. As someone who has experience opening a new facility you will go through growing pains and I think people need to be more mindful of that give some grace. It takes awhile for the new dust to settle and get completely cleaned, you will have staff come and go as every business does and trying to find good quality staff in today's world isn't easy. I think they're doing phenomenal with their opening! The only thing I wish they offered were classes mid day as early morning and evenings are hard for me due to work and kids schedules. Keep it up you guys are killing it!
