The people here are fantastic. They are very friendly, caring and all- around great. They push you but also adapt if you're feeling any aches and pains which is exactly what you want. Working out to failure is quick but intensive. Absolutely love it!

All the trainers are so friendly, and know you by name. If they don't on an off chance, they introduce themselves. I enjoy that everyone has to read a research paper weekly, I like learning about it. Wide span of hours. Im a business owner who works a lot of hours so sometimes I have a hard time getting a workout in around my schedule. Discover strength has a wife range of hours to schedule between. Cole, Sven, Maddie, and John are all wonderful. They even come in and say hi and support my business which is extra cool. 100/10 recommend

They strive to make sure your workouts are efficient and they make sure the intensity level suits your individual needs. Full body work out in 30 minutes - two times a week. Can't beat that! I've only only done the introductory session so far, but they were able to get me an intense workout while minimizing my neck pain from an old 25 year old injury. My neck injury always discouraged me from working out in the past. If they can continue to minimize or eliminate my neck pain while still getting an intense workout this will be life changing for me.

I have been going to DS Woodbury since late December 2022. The intro workout is great, and it is a genuine workout, not just an assessment or sales pitch. I have been back twice per week, every week since. I had already gone into it, knowing I was committed to the process, but the staff just makes it that much easier to make the commitment. I never feel judged, I always feel welcomed, and I feel like I matter as a client. Everything is straightforward, no bs, 30 minutes in and out. I find the pricing agreeable for what I am getting out of it. 10 out of 10 would recommend. The trainers are professional, fun, motivating, and easy going- no gym bros, no judgment, no mirrors on every wall, and no insta models filiming every moment. None of the bs of the gym, but with all the benefits. But if you see this and decide to go there, feel free to let them know I referred you ππͺ

I love your approach, Jake! I feel like this opportunity is a gift from God because I have tried this journey so many times, and been stopped by injury, overt soreness, pinched nerves and then ultimately giving up- which is the worst of them all. So, coming in and having you be able to get me where I need to go in 2 half hour sessions per week is something that gives me my time back and gives me my strength back. The fact that the trainers truly care and really do try their best to motivate you is such a testament to this place. Logan was my trainer for the first year and his expertise, professionalism, and just awesome personality made those workouts much more enjoyable. I also enjoy the fact that all the trainers greet you by your name even if you only worked out with them one or two times. It shows they truly care. The workouts are the toughest Iβve ever done but In a good way. I canβt recommend this place enough.

There are so many attributes about their approach that make this the BEST approach to improving your overall physical health. 30 minutes, twice a week for the busy professional couldn't be easy to fit into a schedule. Discover Strength provides intense and effective workouts that are also efficient. I was initially skeptical that I would see any noticeable results if I was only doing two 30-minute workouts a week, but after being a member for just a few months, I started to see that the DS approach is the real deal. Its quality over quantity here. Forget 2-4 sets of 12-15 reps β there is no need for that! They donβt waste your time on things that donβt work. Spending a bunch of time in the gym is not my favorite, so this place is a great fit for me. The trainers are all knowledgeable and super encouraging. Every week it seems, they motivate me to push myself farther than I think I can go and they cheer me on every step of the way. They genuinely want to see you improve and achieve your goals β and you do!

Discover Strength is ahead of the curve with their approach to Strength Training! They use an Evidence-Based model to individualize your training program, regularly review your specific plan and keep track of your progress. The model is 2 training sessions per week, (our muscles require recovery time between sessions) for 30 minutes-1 to 1, and a bit longer if you chose the group sessions. Whether your looking to increase muscle mass/tone, training for a marathon or improve your overall health, DS is the place to go! My husband began training at DS when they opened the Woodbury location, he has lost over 20lbs, gained muscle mass, stamina and decreased stress. He encouraged me to join, as I was recovering from an illness that resulted in a loss of lean muscle mass. I started slow, training 2 times a month and I am now up to 2 times a week! DS works with you for what is most beneficial for your specific needs. The benefits of this model of this are amazing!
I have gained lean muscle mass, improved my stamina and overall well-being. I always leave DS feeling great! The staff at DS are truly invested in their clients and it shows from the minute you walk through the door. They consistently check in with how your body is feeling and will adjust training to accommodate any illnesses or injuries. Every trainer at DS is highly educated, professional and continues to keep up to date with the latest Evidence-Based practices for strength training. This is important to me as Iβve belonged to many gyms over the years and have worked with trainers in the past, but nothing compares to DS! You can choose to train with the same trainer or multiple trainers, they are all fabulous! I train specifically with Jake, he motivates me to work harder and his positivity is awesome! I highly encourage everyone to give DS a try!

There are a lot of gyms to choose from in downtown Minneapolis, but this one takes the cake. If you have limited time in your work day, DS can offer a proven, effective way to strength train, and it's twice a week, 30 minutes a time - that's all you need. All of the trainers are excellent. The sessions can be tailored to your goals. The sessions can accomodate injuries. The training DEFINITELY helps support whatever other sports you are engaged in (training for a race, for example). Can't say enough good things about DS.
