My son started here a little over a year ago in the Ninja classes, and it was such a great fit for him—it really gave him a class he looked forward to each week. The only reason we stopped was because we decided to give wrestling a try. Our 3-year-old daughter just started gymnastics here and is absolutely loving it! The staff is wonderful, the environment is fun and welcoming, and it’s been a great place for both of our kids. We also hosted my son’s birthday party here earlier this year, and it was a total hit. Highly recommend!

DON’T COME!!! Open Gym here is not meant for College or High School gymnasts. I’m a College gymnasts, and my sister is a High School gymnasts. We went to the open for ‘Ages 13 and up’ which cost $25 for non members per person. You will not be able to use full size / regulations equipment. The website did not disclose this.

No where on the website in the open gym section does it disclose you won’t be able to use full size / regulation sized equipment. When open gyms are age restricted it is usually to provide an environment for more advanced athletes to practice.

We drove one and a half hours to come to this open gym, to be disappointed and unsatisfied. This is not worth the money. Especially for the equipment you get to use.

Overall the environment was unwelcoming and stressful. We got yelled at when we tried walking up to equipment, within five minutes of being here. Then were told to go use the “light kid equipment”. This equipment is targeted roughly towards ages 5-10 years old. With our heights and weights the equipment would not have been safe to use. It would have also been extremely dangerous to preform skills to a high school or college level on this equipment as well .

We decided to leave within 15 minutes of being there. I tried talking to girl working register about getting a refund for being unsatisfied and not being given correct information. The girl helping me was rude and sarcastic towards me with her attitude and her response. She wasn’t not able to give me a refund and told me to leave a voice mail for the manager.

Now we are waiting to receive a call back from the manager for a refund. So hopefully they will do the right things, by reimburse us for the money we spent on open gym.

I will post an update when the situation changes.

-Looking at other responses from who I am guessing is the managers to other reviews. The manager seems to be claiming people did not actually come here and trying to blame other gyms for the bad experiences. So there is a photo of us outside the place for proof.

I don't recommend. I went to the "13 and up" open gym as a high school gymnast and my college level sister and drove 1:30 away. I paid $25 for the non membership and my sister paid another $25. Online it never stated that we couldn't use regulation equipment.

We were yelled at when walking up to equipment and were told we could only use little kid equipment meant for ages around 5-10. We were only there for 15 minutes.

We did not enjoy our experience there and when talking about our concerns to an employee and they were difficult to communicate with. It was an unwelcoming environment with workers giving use looks and laughing at use when we tried using the equipment they provided.

We were very disappointed and will not be coming back.

Customer service was not great. I would have been a future customer but changed my mind shortly after. The family party I was there for felt very rushed. There was clearly untouched birthday cake on the plates on the table and the staff threw everything away without asking. The overall experience was not good.

Mean - really mean people... They say really mean things about children (!!!). when they think parents do not understand Russian language or cannot hear them. I personally heard : "fatty ball", "mob", "idiot", etc. If there is a problem the owner tries to blame either coaches or somebody else - never takes the responsibility and fix it.

We hosted our daughter’s 10th birthday party here. They took care of everything- The room setup, utensils, lighter, and entertaining the 13 kids that attended. The kids ranged in age from 5 to 12 and everyone had a great time. Can’t recommend this place enough for a birthday party.

Elite hosted a birthday party for our twin 5-year-olds last weekend, and it was *awesome*! We were so impressed at how well the staff managed the whole process. Clearly they've done this a lot, and still made it feel special for us! We reserved a 90-minute block. One coach was assigned to our party with a manager supervising. Before we arrived they set up the party room with tablecloths, napkins, drinks, cutlery, etc. They gave us a wagon to move stuff to/from our car and to put presents. For the first 60 minutes they kept 15 bouncy little kids moving through a series of fun, active activities, with some time for open gym (including for the grown-ups!). The parents were all impressed and kept commenting on how the kids stayed focused and following the rules (except for some usual suspects). Then they got all the kids to wash their hands, and for the last 20 minutes helped us serve cake and food in the party room. Then they took care of all the tear-down. All-in-all we felt relaxed and like the timing and execution was perfect. Totally recommend! Thank you!

EGA is a great gym, my daughter has been going there for 4 yrs and on team for 3 of those yrs. The coaches are energetic, skilled and keep the students engaged while showing them how to be disciplined gymnasts. They offer several classes from ninja, girls and boys recreational and team gymnastics and trampoline and tumbling. There is something for everyone. My son and daughter both take Ninja Zone classes at EGA and LOVE it! They've been sick on and off this spring and it has not been an issue scheduling make-up classes. They also LOVE the day camps - time to get off screens when out of school but mom and dad are working (and affordable for half day or full day). I can’t say enough about the staff and the facility.

This gym has gone above and beyond making sure our kids have fun, learn great techniques, build relationships, and best of all it’s the cleanest place we’ve ever been too.

Both our girls have excelled with great coaches that engage and not just tell but show how to do everything.

Every time I have a question or concern it is immediately answered. The staff is extremely positive and we’re so glad to call this gym and everyone in it as a part of our growth for our children as it almost feels like family ❤️.

I can't say enough about their awesome communication skills there is always someone there to answer my questions or concerns. The coaches are AMAZING with the students and truly want them to succeed and do their best they possibly can.

The staff is so easy to work with and you can tell they care about you the family as well as the students. We recently held my Daughter's 5th Birthday party here. Everything was perfect! I am so impressed with our experience from start to finish and would highly recommend you book your next party here. About a week out, the gymnastics place we originally booked canceled on us. You can imagine the fear that took over with one week to plan a party for 21 kids! A friend recommend EGA so I immediately reached out.....holding our party at EGA was meant to be. It just so happened that they had the availability to take us and also at the same time we planned at the original place. Bonus! We had the place to ourselves!!! Booking the party on the phone was easy enough and I was excited to know that all I had to bring was the cake. Everything else was included (every parent's dream...no mess, no cleaning, and no shopping!). The day of the party was more than we could have hoped for. Everything was already set up for us in the lobby. The girl working the front desk was amazing and the two staff assisting with the kiddos in the gym (Hannah and Philly - spell?) were absolutely amazing!!! They were able to keep each and every one of the 21 kids engaged for the entire two hours...they all had a blast! The staff kept us on track with timing...after the gym time, they sent the kids to all wash their hands before cake, they stepped in and passed out the cake, they brought the kiddos back out to the gym for more play time after cake (we skipped opening presents because everyone was having too much fun), they brought me out to the floor so I could take a group pic (I mean...who thinks of that?! it was awesome), they handed out a cute gift back pack to each kid and a balloon as we were leaving. They cleaned up the party and my Daughter also got a t-shirt as a souvenir. Altogether, the day and experience couldn't have gone more smoothly. Thanks for saving our Daughter's party with such short notice and providing the best experience for everyone EGA!!!!

You will always get an honest and straightforward answer for your questions from these guys and the coaches they have for ALL levels are simply amazing. I have watched my daughter excel in her gymnastics journey month after month and I can't say enough how much I would recommend this place to other Twin Cities parents in the metro area! I cannot say enough good things about this gym. We first went to EGA in 2010. At the time I had a very energetic 4 year old that spent more time upside down then right side up. I needed to find an outlet for her energy! I loved the famliy feel when we first walked in. It ust felt right.

It is now 8 years later and we are still at EGA. My 4 year old is now 11 years old and is a JO level 8 competitive gymnast. I loved the family feel so much that I even decided to be part of the family. I started as a recreational coach and am now an Xcel team coach. EGA has become our home away from home. If you are trying to decide on a gymnastics gym give EGA a try! You won't be disappointed...we sure weren't!

We've done around 5 classes at this studio for both my son and daughter with mixed results (Parent & Me and Tumbler).

Like most youth activities it's all about the coaches that can make the program. When we have coach Cameron we have an amazing experience. Other coaches the lack of control and just attempting to get through the 45 mins is painful. I've never seen a manager do rounds at the classes or provided an evaluation of the coach.

Update: One week after posting this review the manager has added help to the class and also monitored the class to provide feedback to the instructor. I've updated my original 3 star rating to 5 stars due to them taking initiative on constructive feedback.

I have two children who attended classes at Elite Gymnastics. They have learned so much since October 2016. My son has autism, his ninja zone coach (Cameron ) is so patient and takes his time every week with my son. My daughter is in gymnastics. Our 2 daughters 1st started at EGA over 5 yrs ago on a military scholarship while my husband was deployed. The owner was very accommodating when other gyms were not. We drive approximately 30 minutes one way to attend this gym because of the excellent coaching and friendly staff members. I now have a daughter who is part of the competitive team. Gymnastics has been therapeutic for our daughter and has taught her many life skills. We have enjoyed watching her grow in her confidence, skills & communication with the guidance of her great coaches. The staff and coaches have been quick to address concerns along our journey. I often have my other children and the lobby/parent viewing area has an area for my younger child to play and tables for my other children to do their homework. The gym also has healthy snacks for purchase if you are unable to leave. I highly recommend EGA for not only gymnastics but birthday parties & open gym. My daughter has also enjoyed summer camps and sleep over events at the gym.

I have a 7 year old on Level 3 Team and a 5 year old on pre-team that have been coming her since they were 2 years old. The coaches are trained to make sure they are learning skills correctly, at the right time and maintaining safety of the student.
The kids get very excited to come each time and beg to go to open gym and the camps outside of practice. I would recommend the place for anyone interested in getting started in gymnastics or advancing their skills.

My son does Ninja Zone and loves it. Besides being active they learn about respect, responsibilities and manners. I also have a daughter on the Level 3 team and she loves going to practice during the week. The coaches are so good with the kids and make them enjoy every minute they are with them. It is a great family atmosphere!

Both of our children love going to EGA for recreational gymnastics classes each week. My wife and I especially wanted to note how great Coach Cameron does with the students. We found this to be especially true with the four year old class, which can be a difficult group. Coach Cameron is funny, knowledgeable, and most of all very patient. 😃

Nice staff at desk. Nice coaches. Just way too many kids in classes. The amount of time the kids just sit waiting for their turn is very disappointing. We've done the toddler classes, the rec classes, the pre-team classes... it's the same at all these levels.

From the moment we walked in I could tell this was the gym for my kids. Was so impressed that the staff at the front desk greeted everyone by name. There is plenty of comfortable space for us to watch while the kids practice and even a play area to keep my youngest one entertained! My kids are having a blast!

Great school, great employees! Our older kid has been attending for over 3 years now. Our 2 year old also just started last spring. The kids have fun and enjoy coming to class. We've used their swim school as well for swimming lessons which were great too. The coaches really care about the kids getting the technique down. They take the time to repeat things until the kids do it right. Overall, very pleased with EGA Academy!

I have a 4 year old girl that has been enrolled at EGA since the age of two. My 2 year old will be starting soon. We have tried several other gyms in the south metro and have found the most complete and motivational instruction around. I highly suggest to check out EGA

We were looking for something to get our kids more active. All three of them really enjoyed their experiences at Elite Gymnastics Academy. We've tried other local gyms and they didn't make my girls feel comfortable with their abilities. Kudos to EGA's staff.

3 of my children have taken recreational classes at Elite. The coaches clearly enjoy working with children and are dedicated to helping each child reach their potential. My daughter attended a birthday party at EGA and had so much fun that we decided to sign up for a gymnastics class. She has now been taking lessons there for 2 years and loves it! The gym has so much to offer and the coaches are amazing. She has learned so many gymnastic skills in the time she has been there and is excited at the possibility of joining a team in the future where she can compete and enjoy all the benefits team gymnastics has to offer.
