OMG! So cool! They had me scaling π§π»ββοΈ a 5 foot wall! π€© Super excited to become a ninjaπ₯·. The aches & pains from my job went away completely within months of doing mobility training with them! I am a Chiropractor, so keeping my wrists & shoulders strong is a priority. I have gained muscle, lost fat, gained flexibility and a ton of friends! π«Ά Highly, highly reccommended!!!

Unfortunately we did not have a good experience at this Summer Camp. The supervision and training for the kids was lacking. My child injured their back while the kids were playing and it took a few minutes for the coaches to attend to them. Other campers tried to get the coaches, who were on the other side of the room talking to each other, for help but were told to βhold on a minuteβ.
The coach who called me said, βYeah so *your child* took a spill and would like to go home.β That was all the info I got. When I tried to follow up with email and text (phone calls arenβt accepted) I never got any response.
Safety and supervision were definitely not a priority and I would not recommend this camp with the current staffing.

I frequented this place when I was in highschool and college. I was a very unathletic shy kid who discovered Parkour from watching these guys jumping around Peavy Plaza.
Since my time here I felt like FOFA was more than a gym. They had a sense of community that was very accepting and positive. The whole idea of Parkour wasn't just simply to improve your physical being, but also to improve your mental wellness. If you can't overcome an obstacle, you find a different way to approach it. If you fail, you simply reflect on why and work on your weaknesses so you can do better next time.
These ideas were ones I took out of the gym and into the real word. I noticed my confidence improved drastically as I approached the world through the lens of Parkour. I not only was more physically fit (during the height of my time at the academy I went from overweight to having an 8-pack), I was feeling a lot happier. It didn't feel like I was doing a workout, I was simply having fun.
I took a break from it when I graduated college, but came back when I saw they had a personal training program. I was surprised I was remembered, given it was almost a decade since I last been there. The joy of the sport, the feeling of community, and the push of encouragement never faded since I was last there. I spoke with Chad, one of the founders, and he was very honest above all; he cares about seeing the students at the gym grow.
I would definitely recommend anyone new coming in, to give their classes a try. I didn't regret it, and plan to come back as a student.

Looking to get someone in shape? Be a ninja? Or just stay healthy? This is the place!
Chad has been running this gym since 2011 and he is a fantastic couch! He gave me a guided tour, showing me the 1st aid kits, water fridge (still recommended to bring your bottle), and the changing rooms.
After the tour we stretched and learned some common ground on safety and ethical practice. Once Chad was sure I was ready for it, he sent me at it (an obstacle) with guidance when needed.
Got to climb over some traffic cones (or something like that), swing on bars, and even climb a wall! (and thereβs different difficulties to match your level) Also got taught how to jump, drop, and roll which was pretty cool. Then we stretched, again (for muscle growth). This is how far we got in my first lesson!
βAs being a gymnasium, this place has workout equipment, swords, balls and more to keep you prime! Just ask for a class and Chad will most likely fit you in somewhere!β

Fofa has been my workout wonderland for nearly a decade! I was searching for something fun and challenging, and I've found it here. Their parkour/freerunning classes are always fun and I've learned so much while getting an amazing full-body workout. The obstacle course class is my favorite! The coaches are super helpful and encouraging. Classes are not private lessons but you get feedback throughout the whole class. And everyone at the gym is super chill and supportive. If you're looking to have fun while getting fit, this is your spot. 10/10, would definitely recommend!

I had never done parkour before and was a little nervous about trying it for the first time. I had signed up for a free trial with Chad, who was amazing and helped me feel more comfortable in the space. It was awesome to be able to have the one-on-one attention and to have the opportunity to actually try learning some of the basic skills that you would learn on class. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone!

Trained here for ~2 years and the amazing coaches taught me skills I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I tested into the Advanced level in Parkour and in Acrobatics/Flips and I was learning new things every time I went in. My original goal was to do parkour and flips outdoors and I got a rock solid foundation to do that safely and with confidence. The gym and the community are great so I will definitely be back!

This was the very first parkour gym I have ever gone to and, honestly, I could not have asked for a better first experience! Going in with no experience in parkour, I was very nervous I would make a fool of myself, but Coach Chad quickly dispelled any worries I had. He was professional, easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable, and very encouraging the whole way through. I highly recommend checking this place out if you've ever been curious about trying out parkour, and especially so if you're a gamer. They've got fun, geeky art on the walls and much of the equipment, and they managed to "game-ify" the entire introductory session by making it feel like you're going through a tutorial in a videogame. With every step, I learned a new foundational skill that I was able to apply in a matter of minutes, and by the end of the session I was rushing through the Lv.1 obstacle course like I was Faith, herself! Well, maybe not quite as good as her, but I still felt pretty awesome. And word of caution - be prepared to be very sore the next day! It really didn't feel like I was pushing myself that hard because of how much fun I was having, but my body is currently telling me otherwise. So, check it out, have fun, and always remember to stretch. Thank you Chad, and everyone at FoF! I truly hope to see you all again soon!

Donβt give them your information!
I saw a ad for Fight or Flight Academy on Facebook. It seemed like a cool concept and I signed up for their free class promo; however, I regret giving them my information. After completing the sign-up process, they have been calling me twice a day for a week, with a pre-recorded call that is both intrusive and annoying. Despite my repeated attempts to opt-out of their calls, they continue to call me every day. I find this behavior to be highly unprofessional and disrespectful of my privacy. I am no longer interested in working with Fight or Flight, and would not recommend this company.

The last time I felt this level of genuine enjoyment through movement was when I was 10 years old playing tag with my friends at my favorite childhood park.
This place feels like a way to reconnect to that playful energy so many of us seem to lose over the years. Fight or Flight Academy will give you the opportunity to relive the best parts of being a kid. #LearnToPlayAgain
Bonus points for getting that heart rate up. π€π€π€
I came for the Parkour and stayed for the: Acrobatics, Swords, Hand Balancing, PK Mobility, and Weightlifting classes!
Another selling point is their commitment to accountability.
I'm someone that needs external systems in place to keep focused on my end goal (too interested in too many things - get distracted too easily). Knowing they will actively reach out to me if I don't show up for a week is exactly the kind of structure I was looking for.
Absolutely everything I experienced on my first visit was a positive. There wasn't a single reason not to sign up, it checked all of my boxes, so I opted for the year membership.
I'm pretty new to the community, but from what I can gleam after a single lesson ($0 and also insanely fun) and checking out the sick digital library they give their students access to, I am 100% stoked to jump in!
Come check it out!

I decided to try the free lesson and I have no regrets!! Here's my detailed thoughts...
The good:
1) The first thing I noticed was how welcoming everyone was. I've walked into small or specialty gyms before and people often look at you like you have a second head since you're not the usual regular that goes there. Couldn't be more opposite here. There were people there when I first got there wrapping up a class and all of them smiled and welcomed me and seemed happy I was there. Huge green flag.
2) The owner is really nice and highly experienced, he's been doing parkour for 20+ years
3) It was a GREAT workout. Great cardio/strength combination. Definitely a fun way to move your body without even knowing you're really working out. Plus the movements obviously translate into real life.
The bad:
1) The ONLY bad is the gym is membership based only and it's quite expensive. There's no trial period, there's no punch cards, no three or six month option. Either a year or a month to month. Since they are a specialty gym, I feel the pricing is fair even though it is expensive - I paid just under that amount once back when my circus gym was doing memberships - I just wish there were more flexible options. They did offer me a family discount though which was really cool.
My husband also really wanted to try but after I talked to him about the price we decided to table the idea for now and perhaps visit it later.
Overall: I feel like... The parkour gym would be a GREAT place if you were 100% commited and that was the MAIN form of exercise you did. Because it is a full body workout you could realistically make it your only gym. But as a person already heavily involved in aerial arts and skating, I just can't justify paying that much a month for a place I'd probably go to only every once in awhile to supplement my training.
So personally for my family and I right now it's just not the right timing for us to commit to something like this. Perhaps if there are more options presented in the future we will definitely come back again. But I definitely think everyone should try this - it's a workout without knowing you're working out!

Was greeted by exceptionally friendly staff and felt like I was a part of the community within the first half hour of walking in the doors. A great gym and wonderful people.

I just went for the trial. The instructors are very friendly and showed my kids and I some basic free running tricks. Their courses are great for kids and adults and they have online courses. Room for improvement would be in the organization of some things like enrollment and memberships, but they are still working things out, post shutdown for covid. I'll be sure to go again!

I think this place is fantastic! Just attended an intro parkour class and loved it, coach Chad is confident, kind and encouraging- not to mention astoundingly graceful and strong- I am completely new at the sport, and loved the positive affirmation he gave us.

Just went for an introductory class today, and had SUCH a blast. Im gonna be so soreπ The free classes are a good deal, but you WILL get sucked into buying a membership. It's 50% off after the first class, then you can get public service discounts. I'm a teacher, so I ended up getting about 70%.

This is a great place to increase your mobility and strength in a practical way. Going to a gym is great, and CrossFit will give you a good workout, but this place will do just as much while being more useful in the real world and far nicer on your body.

Signed up for one of their free classes, got a confirmation email and everything to confirm the date and time, but when I showed up for the class they were closed due to the staff being at a wedding. I never got an email or any notification saying the class was cancelled. This makes me feel like the place is very unprofessional and doesn't care much about its customers.

Great community. The have a a huge gym made in a warehouse area made for training in parkour and freerunning. They have parkour, freerunning, and martial arts classes. Definitely worth checking out if you looking for anything around the above.

If you're into parkour or just want to try something new, this is the place for you to go. There simply is no other. We are very lucky to have this in Minnesota. Moreover the facility, staff, and community is simply amazing. I have been doing parkour for years all over the world but never have I seen a club so organized and dedicated as this. 5 out of 5.

I come to this place now and then, (but I will be going to it a lot more often), and every time I go everyone there is so nice and open to help. Chad and Skinny are great teachers and they created an awesome parkour gym. It is just a unique and open environment people should go to despite any excuses haha.

Fight or Flight Academy is one of the only parkour/freerunning gyms in the country, and is the only one in the midwest. The instructors are world-class, very friendly, and really know their stuff. If you're interested, but not sure if you can do parkour/freerunning, they offer free introduction classes, and have great prices; you won't be able to resist signing up, once you give it a shot.

Really great place to learn parkour. Very friendly staff. Great athletes are often not good instructors, but the teachers at Fight or Flight are able to explain complex moves and teach a reasonable progression. Started with the introductory course and signed up for regular lessons. Introductory prices were great.
