Ten years ago, I joined Functional Fitness thinking I’d be here for a few months. Well, here I am, a decade later, with loads of gratitude for the coaches, the support in keeping me running/active, and the friendships I've made along the way.
This place has become my third home. The best part? I still love coming here, even after all these years and even when the coaches push me to go heavier with the weights and my arms/legs are barking the next day. The workouts are designed thoughtfully for me…no cookie cutter stuff here, although I am a big fan of cookies.
If you want a gym that keeps you coming back, whether for the workout or the community or the fun shenanigans during the occasional Friday team trainings, this is your place!

I’ve been doing team training at FF since 2022. I love being able to just walk in to the gym with no planning and complete confidence that the professional, motivating, well-educated coaches have set up a workout that is optimized for me. It’s also so great to work with a small business who supports our community so well through things like charity workouts!

I would definitely recommend functional fitness for traveling professionals, or just those who are not looking for a typical monthly contract with a gym (I think those are offered as well).
Exceptionally convenient and easy to use service. Support was very attentive and proactive as well—I was very impressed with this.

I don't go to Functional Fitness. Our Taekwondo class rents a time slot from them. They do have a lot of equipment, their equipment is all clean, and the staff members are all awesome people

I have been coming to Functional Fitness in Redwood Falls for many years. I go to the semi private classes. They create programs just for me. They work around my issues: problems with my shoulders, knee, lower back. It is a fun family atmosphere. I have lost some weight but more importantly I am stronger and feel better.

I started at Functional Fitness to simply be healthier for my children. What I found was a community (that as corny as it sounds) roots for your wins with you, challenges you to meet your goals and EDUCATES you along the way. Some of the things I learned incorrectly from home workouts are finally being set into place.
CHALLENGES… don’t let them scare you. They are intimating but SO worth it. The 6 week challenge set a tone for me to remember that it’s not about being perfect all the time but recognizing that 85% can get you to your goals while still enjoying life. 10/10 recommend doing a challenge to kick off your fitness goals.

Functional Fitness is meeting the needs of so many people of all ages, fitness levels and abilities! The excellent coaches take a personal interest in their clients to help them reach their individual goals realistically and safely. The coaches are warehouses of information in all areas of fitness, exercise, strength training, health & nutrition, and overall wellness. The environment is extremely friendly, informal, non-judgemental and comfortable.
I enjoy team training because it is an easy and efficient way for me to exercise. I like showing up and participating in a workout that I know has been carefully designed. I appreciate the variety of sessions and the personal coaching/assistance that takes place even within a large group. The coaches are extremely encouraging and helpful. The added benefits of team training are friendships that have formed! It feels good to belong to the Functional Fitness Family. : )

I have been around Functional Fitness for years. I took a break and came back because I missed the structured training, the amazing coaches and just being around people with the same fitness goals as me. I love how knowledgeable all the coaches are in so many areas of health & fitness! I also love having the option for semi private sessions when I want to go that extra mile! FF is my favorite place to be! It must be since I get up at 4:43 am to work out there!! (and I’m not a morning person!!) Thanks to all the coaches for being so supportive!!

I used to be a member at FF but life happened and I had to cancel my membership years ago. I came back this year for the partner challenge and have loved every minute of it. I finally FEEL LIKE MYSELF AGAIN! Healthy habits, healthy routine of consistent workouts and clean eating. Highly recommend Functional Fitness. I have been a member since Nov. 2011 and will continue with this membership. I continue to learn new information on nutrition, exercise, eating habits, handling stress, sleep habits, and weight loss to name a few things. The focus here is not just on weight loss or exercise. It is on establishing good practices and goals that help me to be successful each day. The coaching staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. Also cheerful 😁, but do hold me accountable! They are there to help with training to insure proper execution. They encourage extra activity outside the gym and offer training opportunities to promote those activities. A couple of good examples are weight lifting and running marathons. When you are ready and actually what are you waiting for? Sign up and enjoy the same family environment I do at Functional Fitness!

I’ve only been there a few months but the experience has been life altering. I did a 6 week challenge and it quickly taught me how to eat properly, how much exercise I need to see changes, and it greatly reduced my stress. I do the team training and love meeting new people! The value is here- the coaches are awesome!! Come join us - you will be glad you did.

I liked the idea of having a challenge. I needed something that was going to force me to be in track with my nutrition And I liked that! The reason I’m giving this challenge 4/5 not 5/5 is because I had a lot of technical issues with it. When I first signed up from the site I was given to sign up on it was the wrong MINDBODY site, so I got charged 130$ and it wasn’t even for the challenge. Currently still waiting for the refund from that company. Overall I think Fuctional Fitness is a great place, great environment love being a part of it !

I participated in Rock Your Jeans Challenge that Functional Fitness offered. Best part was I could participate in this challenge, even though I was not local, or a regular member. Participating from a distance kept me accountable in my fitness and nutrition journey- which I needed 4 months postpartum! The lesson plans were easy to follow with daily check-ins via the MyCoach app. Even though I couldn't meet with the coaches in person, they encouraged questions and responded quickly to messages. Through the 6 week challenge, I lost 8lbs and made it to my goal weight! This is my second challenge completed as a distance participant, and would recommend to those outside the Redwood Falls area.

I got introduced to Functional Fitness through a challenge at work. I continued on with them because they are great to work with. The workouts seem so simple at first glance, but once you go through the exercises you realize how much thought went into the layout to work so many different muscle groups! I love having the coaches there to make sure I'm positioned properly for all the different movements. I'm extremely happy with the results I've been able to achieve!

I have joined functional fitness in the past but have found the newest challenge great. The apps they partner with were so user friendly and really made it easy to track successes, have access to nutrition information and tips, and ask questions and get a timely response from coaches! I love having the option to go at convenient times- 3 different night workouts! Having options is great! I used to not like the idea of working out in a group but love the people at functional fitness. Everyone goes at their own level, no judging, and other members are super friendly!

I love the workouts- it’s not all treadmills and elliptical. It’s movements and series that keep you constantly moving and working muscles long dormant. You don’t realize how much of a sweat you’ve worked up until you’re done- and it’s fabulous!

Functional Fitness is awesome!! I was invited to join a 4-week challenge with them and I'm so glad I said yes. I've heard before that it takes 21 days to create a habit. Four weeks of excellent workouts and clean nutrition have made me feel so good that I'm dedicated to keeping these habits from now on! I have been a member of Functional Fitness since it was established (I think it was 2011?). I love the Functional Fitness community, and I look forward to every training session. But Functional Fitness is more than working out. It’s not your ordinary gym. Training programs and exercises are designed or adapted to fit your needs. I struggle with my left hip so the coaches are always tuned into that and give me stretches or adaptions when needed. The coaches at Functional Fitness teach whole body wellness including nutrition. They teach that you can’t out train a diet that is mostly made up of junk food. But my favorite thing about Functional Fitness is the coaches. Trevor, Erin, Ashley, Jake, and Vicki always greet you, listen to any health-related concerns you may have, and share their knowledge or make suggestions or adaptions to help you.

I have been working with the coaches at Functional Fitness since I was a freshman in High School. They really helped me work on specific things to improve my volleyball skills. When I started college, I joined their FF Everywhere program. This program includes video demonstrations which was very helpful.

I enjoy participating in FF challenges! They are fun and I get a lot of knowledge out of these short challenges! The groups are sometimes large but the small groups we break into are perfect sizes!! I just completed a 4 week challenge at FF and only had to go in twice. Once for my first weigh in and now for my last weigh in. The coaches kept track of me and answered any questions along the way. They make it work for you even if you don't have time to travel to Redwood Falls throughout the weeks. I appreciate that. Just knowing they were there for me and care about my health kept me moving on.

Being apart of Functional Fitness gym is life changing. The coaches focus on mind and body and want you to succeed. It doesn’t matter where you are at physically or mentally, they start you on your goals of fitness and continue to lead you to greatness. I have done 3 challenges, each challenge has left life long impacts on me. The first challenge I changed my eating style and workout fears/concerns, so by the time I did the 3rd challenge I can see results big time. I have been a member over the year as well. I have a history of neck and back injury and Functional Fitness has been there to make me feel confident in exercises that I can do into later years in life. You leave sweating, but with a smile!

I felt a little uneasy joining a gym because I’m not an athlete and I thought I’d feel like an outsider. Trevor met with me individually and after observing my movements, made a plan specifically for my goals. After a few days doing team training, I felt like I had been there for years. It truly is a team/family mentality! The coaches keep the energy up and as a team we celebrate making it through each workout! Functional offers challenges throughout the year that are just what I need to straighten out my sloppy nutrition and hold myself accountable for showing up for the workouts. They have something to offer EVERYONE and are even working on a program tailored to us postpartum moms. Their knowledge is priceless and they share it freely because they want you to succeed!
