We are only into week 2 and I’m beyond impressed. The staff are attentive and I’ve watched them calmly soothe nervous new swimmers. There are so many eyes on the pool at all times and a very specific curriculum being followed. My daughter has been terrified of putting her head under water and in the first 10 minutes in week 2 she let them do a quick full body dip! Worth every penny for her future and safety!!!

I don’t like one of my baby’s instructors, and I wanted to drop a class. However, dropping a class requires a 30-day notice—which is great for protecting their business from financial loss. But what about the comfort of the parents and the babies? Now we’re stuck here, getting weird looks. I shouldn’t be obligated to continue a service I no longer want.

Deeply offensive experience-
appalled by the treatment received at the reception desk during our recent visit. Michelle’s language and attitude were not only shockingly unprofessional but disturbingly suggestive of bias. The way I was spoken to, dismissive, and laced with undertones that no one should have to endure—was completely out of line and has no place in any establishment that claims to value basic respect, let alone customer service. No one should be made to feel lesser or unwelcome because of who they are.

When I was looking online to sign up for classes, a team member called and helped with determining what class each of my kids should go in to. We went in for a free trial swim and Alex provided a tour of the facility and was very helpful with instructions and what to expect for our first lesson. I really like how the teachers are working on skills with my kids and the goal is for them to move up to the next swim level.

I have two sons, ages 6 and 7, who both have been attending swimming lessons once a week for the past few months at Goldfish Swim School in Lakeville. I couldn’t say enough wonderful things about our experience - we won’t go anywhere else!

Swimming lessons were very important to me to enroll both of my sons in after a scary incident where one of my them jumped into the deep end of a pool without his life jacket on before I could stop him - and I had to jump in and grab him - as he did not know how to swim at the time. One of my sons has ADHD and one has Autism, so as a disability mom I was very picky about where I enrolled them for lessons.

Both of my sons have THRIVED over the past few months of lessons, learning lifelong swimming and swimming safety skills in a short amount of time. The small class sizes and patience of staff with my children are my favorite things about Goldfish.

I used to replay that scary moment in my head and remember how terrified I was any time I did water activities with my kids, and now I don’t have that fear/anxiety any longer. Thank you Goldfish for always taking such good care of us!

Goldfish Swim School Lakeville provides an engaging, welcoming, and safe experience for our daughter. We began classes when she was around six months old for a few months and were able to pause our membership given work conflicts with our weeknight classes to resume again when she was closer to one-year-old. I hadn’t heard of a perpetual model (and you pay for a full month before you begin that month)and wasn’t sure what to think, but now having experienced classes for a combined four months, I can state it works to truly help your child be comfortable me in the water and the team accommodates your needs. The staff and instructors are all kind and warm. When we had a conflict arise this next week, the staff helped us to change the date of the class to fall a different day, and it was a seamless experience. Our daughter enjoys the water toys, songs, and the special event for Swim with Santa was amazing. We appreciate the effort the Swim School put into the open house when they first were built, so we could attend in-person to check everything out. The facility is set up comfortably with plenty of spaces for private changing areas and showers. Our daughter loves the foam canoe and slide, too! I highly recommend this business to anyone looking to enroll their child(ren) in swimming lessons.

I’m bringing my toddler here to get her comfortable with the water and to lean water safety. It’s going well! She stares eagerly at the pool until it is our turn to get in. It’s warm, and she loves the toys.

Indefinite perpetual lessons for toddlers is more than we want, but not having sessions means that we can go when it works for us. It takes proactivity to not get caught in the system, though. We are doing a total of 7 lessons, so I had to plan ahead to quit 30 days in advance.

If we could afford indefinite perpetual lesson’s, I think our toddler would have a great time and keep learning! It was a bit of a shame to quit for now, but I think we’ll be back when she’s older.

We started our now 7 month old here at 4 months old. Swim school has been great for his development both physically and mentally. At Goldfish the instructors do a great job of hands on training when needed. The lessons are designed for child safety around water and its a great piece of mind to know our baby will be familiar with water and will eventually be able to get to safety should there be a water incident. We've been attending Goldfish Swim School in Lakeville for just about 2 months, and so far, we absolutely LOVE it! Our children are making incredible progress, even faster than at other swim schools in the Twin Cities area. One of the standout features we appreciate is that the kids can move up to the next level when they're ready, rather than waiting for a class to end. This personalized approach has really helped our children grow and build confidence in the water. The facility and location are adorable, and my kids especially enjoy saying hi to the goldfish and playing with the train toy before class. It's such a warm, CLEAN, and welcoming environment for families. We also love that the focus is on water safety, not just advancing through levels. The ribbons they hand out are a delightful bonus; my kids get so excited when they receive one as recognition for their achievements in class. Another big plus is the viewing area, which is separate from the pool. It's so much more comfortable for parents and kids alike, as it's not as hot or noisy. We really appreciate being able to relax and watch the lessons without the added discomfort of the pool area. It is fantastic that our child could start Mini classes (without a parent) before turning 3, as he was ready for that next step. This flexibility in offering age-appropriate classes has been a huge benefit for us. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our experience at Goldfish Swim School in Lakeville. Highly recommend!

We paid for 12 weeks of lessons and we attended the 12 weeks. The 11th week we were told that in order to be done with lessons, we needed to fill out a withdrawal form which needed to be in 30 days prior to the last class….what?!?!? We paid for a package up front for 12 weeks. The general manager told us that there is no such thing as a package and you are required to pay for additional lessons which we did not sign up for - the general manager was not helpful at all and was not willing to work with us on this deception. When asked for documentation of this policy, they had none to give and referred us to the website. They provided the owners email address who we emailed three times regarding the situation and have not received a response. Poor business practices. Package buyers beware! Gave 2 stars because the instructors were great!
