The Harold Mezile North Community YMCA serves kids & teens in grades K–12 & adults 40 years and older.
We provide summer camps, youth sports opportunities, enrichment programs, exercise classes, ForeverWell, before- & after-school care, along with swim lessons.
- 8,000 square feet with state-of-the-art fitness equipment
- Cardio: treadmills, elliptical machines, Nu-Step machines, recumbent bikes
- Strength: conditioning equipment free weights, cables & squat rack
- A spacious gymnasium & aquatics center for group exercise and water exercise classes
- Certified, caring staff, who are professional & well-trained through the YMCA USA ForeverWell training program.
- 3 Locker rooms
- Indoor walking track (1/8 mile)
- Volunteer Opportunities

I go to the Silver Sneakers group exercise class twice a week, led by Tanisha Ranolph. I love it and Tanisha is wonderful. I feel very lucky to have this place and I plan on trying more classes now that I am retired and have time.

It's ridiculous that this YMCA location is for K-12 and ages 40+. This goes against the mission of this organization and as a local resident, I wish I could be a member.

This place has defective customer service team. I was billed for a swimming lesson that we never attended. When I told them, I was never in the building for swimming they sent me to the swimming teacher to verify. I made multiple trips to the building in Burnsville to rectify the situation. No one was able to help. Swimming teacher never called me back. The lady at the front desk said she sent email to request to cancel the payment that I'm supposedly owing them. I was so happy that someone in the organization was able to help with this unique situation. Nope, I got a letter from collections. Terrible place. Too big to fail.

Since when is a YMCA only 40+??. My son LIVES in this neighborhood with an active ymca membership and is forced to catch a bus elsewhere to go to a different facility after being turned away. Just one less place for a kid to go on the northside. I guess they figure the streets is better huh smh.

Ive been taking my kids to this YMCA for swimming lessons for the past couple months. I can't describe how amazing it is. The people who work there are so nice and welcoming. I would completely recommend going to this location if you have the chance. Especially the aquatic team.

We enrolled our grandson in swimming lessons & it's GREAT! He had been extremely fearful of water & after only 3 weeks we're seeing progress. The instructor is EXTREMELY patient with him & I know that he is going to do well. I even decided to join this location to work on "me." A REAL VALUE!

The staff are great with the kids and they listen to any of the parents concerns and it’s an affordable programs compared to the rest of the YMCA. Awesome job guys.

They offer so much for the youth and expose them to many different things! My sons both attended and experienced camp, skating, Freedom School, reading, homework help, swimming, back 2 school events and so much more!!!
