I would recommend swimming lessons at another business. The last session of lessons that we had for our boys they canceled one of our lessons. It was rescheduled but the rescheduled lesson also was canceled. I was told I would get money back for the canceled lessons but I have not yet received a refund. It’s been two months and now I’m being ghosted by the employee that originally told me I would be receiving a refund. She won’t return my calls or the polite emails I’ve sent asking about the refund. It may not seem like a big deal, but it’s the principle. I recommend people spend their hard earned money elsewhere.

There appear to be mixed reviews of this YMCA. I can only speak to my experience one time. It seemed well run and taken care of. The campus it sits on is gorgeous and peaceful.
Having a basketball court is a plus.
All the staff i met were kind an helpful!

Nice actual facility.. friendly people but the parking situation is very confusing.. The first lot where GPS brings you is extremely small. And has no signs or anything directing people on where to find the football or sports fields .. there's another lot which is the next turn . Again nothing directing people or anything.. we parked here and walked down a path just to find another lot which is past the first two then you take a right down another block and then it's around the corner.. So we kept walking and it's literally close to a mile walk carrying chairs a cooler and all my son's equipment.. never seen anything like it!

The hastings branch is awful. I went for the first time to this location and had the worst experience I have ever had at a YMCA. My kids were in kids stuff and when I went to pick them up I could here my Daughter screaming from the hallway. (She's 2). As I walked in I saw her from across the room laying on the floor completely covered in poop. Her light pink outfit was brown and very noticeable. No one called me or messaged me to come help her they just let her sit in it. They had plenty of staff to notify me. Her diaper rash took a week to heal from their neglect. YMCAs policy is to notify parents of soiled diapers the other ones I go to do it all the time. Hastings is lazy, rude, neglectful, and just down right awful. Don't go here if you love your children.

Nice YMCA with a sauna and hot tub, they have locks 🔒 for people to use in the locker room. Nice filters on the water 💦 fountains. Enjoyed my visit there very much!

This branch of the YMCA is a scam. They allowed a minor to sign up for a membership that needed a parental signature on, that was unknown to the parent. When the parent figured it out and had not used the facilities nor paid a monthly bill they didn't reach out to let parent know there was bill. When the parent got a collection notice and went to figure out why they were told there would be no problem canceling the bill because no services were used. But when disputing the collections the billing department refused to delete the bill. Please take your business to any other branch of the YMCA that does honest business and values the families that use their services!

The YMCA is nice, but I'm focused on swimming laps so keep that in mind.
There were several issues with the design of the pool and its intended use case that make it less than ideal for swimming long distances.
-lane length is roughly 17 yards
-There is no center line in the lanes
-The water was VERY warm (a plus for others but not me)
-There are grates on the sides of the lane you push off of
I enjoyed using the Sauna and Hot tub, but the pool is designed for leisure or those with joint pain.
The locker room is nice with individual shower stalls that lock and the lockers come with 3 digit combination locks built in.
I swim two miles and the irregular length and heat make the process slower.

I really like this place. We are new members and love that there is a sauna and it is on my way to work (I'm a Chiropractor in St. Paul Park.) I had been going to another gym and honestly this is much better. Everyone is so friendly and personable that I meet. The facilities are well maintained and clean. I really can't ask for more... well maybe racquetball haha!

It was a cardio day for me so i don't remember the rest of the equipment. But i did enjoy the well placed bathrooms, clean facilities, and friendly staff. The pool looked like fun! Didn't have time to enjoy it sadly. Nice showers and locker rooms.

For me to go to the gym 3-4 times a week, I need these fitness classes in order to stay active the whole hour. The sauna is nice and locker rooms are clean. I love that when I travel, the Y membership goes with me!

Nice workout room. Pool is accessible by reservation. Make sure to reserve a swimming lane if you want to swim. Many classes offered: aerobics, yoga, water aerobics, pickle ball...Check online or at the building entrance! Part of the Twin Cities YMCA network which offers camps.

I joined the Y on the senior wellness program paid for by Medicare. The Y has many services available for all ages. I use the gym which is not too big and not usually very crowded. No reservation required. There are courts for basketball, racket ball, etc. I think these do require reservation. The pool requires reservation and is open to all ages. There's a jacuzzi in the pool area. Swimming lessons are available for a fee. Always a lifeguard on duty. There is a child care center. Many other programs and services available. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. I recommend the Hastings Y to anyone of any age. Face masks are recommended but not required. There is handicapped parking which I use and a wheelchair friendly entrance and interior. The Sister Kenny physical therapy center is housed in the same building.

I always feel very welcome and when I go to the Hastings YMCA. The YMCA in general has been like a family to me from the camps that they help my daughter go through many years ago with scholarships and selling lots of chocolate candy bars to the women's canoe trip that I went on for 5 days many years ago. They always make it possible for anyone to go through their programs whether they have the means to or not they give you opportunities for volunteerism selling candy Etc. I love the YMCA it's been there for me throughout the years.

The Hastings YMCA is a very well run establishment with a staff that is friendly and efficient. They know there clientele and make sure that they acknowledge your presence. It is clean and sanitizing stations are appropriately available as are the markings on the floor to designate social distancing. The pool is clean and well kept and the hot tub is a nice benefit. The locker room is big and spacious providing enough room and lockers for a large number of clients. This comment includes the number of bathroom and shower facilities. They offer great classes with talented instructors that take place in spacious studios. They also have a double gymnasium. The workout floor provides plenty of machines and free weights. The personal trainers are always there to lend a helping hand. I am aware of the kids care and know that the parents are thrilled with it. Really, they offer so many things that I can't name them all! I'm proud of my YMCA. I believe anyone would find themselves at home there and feel that they have found a great value for their investment.

Clean facility with the following amenities; pool, spacious locker rooms, gymnasium, fitness floor, and exercise studios. Everything is well kept and the staff members are always friendly. The fitness floor offers aerobic and anaerobic equipment with a moderate variety of free weights (although some of the free weights need to be updated). The pool is small and only ~4ft deep- 0ft entry. All around a nice facility.

Been to many around the area and this one is pretty nice. The workout area is a little small compared to my favorite one (Maplewood) but still decent. Locker rooms are clean and nice. The basketball courts are big and the best I've been in for all the y's in the area.
