I've been taking barre classes here for about a year. I had zero previous experience. Emma and KJ are great instructors, giving enough direction for a newbie like me to understand and offering modifications to make the moves more or less challenging.
The vibe has always been really welcoming and the I enjoy the different music playlists.

I just signed up for unlimited membership today after my two-week $50 intro special and I couldn't be more thrilled to be properly joining the HUM Yoga community! It's everything I have been looking for in a yoga studio and more.
The aesthetic of the studio is truly stunning. Plant filled, clean, lots of light, natural elements in decoration, it smells amazing all the time, great retail offerings and a fabulous location! You can tell a lot of love and intention went into creating this space. I especially appreciate the hot tea offerings they provide in the lobby!
KJ and Emma are both incredibly inviting. I immediately feel like a welcome member of the community. The class offerings are just what I'm looking for, with a range of low impact, active classes like Barre, all the way down to yin yoga and lots of restorative options. It's truly my sweet spot. I couldn't be happier, and I look forward to trying other class formats and teachers.
Although I'm still new and have yet to try any of the special class offerings, I do see HUM yoga participating in the community with classes at the farmers market and other outdoor options. I really appreciate seeing that kind of community engagement and outreach.
I feel so lucky to have found an absolute gem of a yoga studio in Northeast Minneapolis. 100/10 recommend, I can't wait for class tomorrow. And the next day, and the next!

Hum 🎶 was a perfect infusion of community care and inner tending with a heart centered gaze.
The environment is obviously filled with intention and the service is most evidently devotional to collective thriving.
My new favourite spot in Minneapolis to practice Yoga!
Please, bring a friend and go!! 🌄

I'm not sure why its taken me so long to write a review. I love this place. I wasn't sure how I'd feel as I have never done barre or anything like this before but I absolutely fell in love with it and Emma & KJ are the best. They make it fun and easy and are always encouraging. I would highly recommend this studio to others. I can't imagine ever going anywhere else. It's truly a special place and environment.

I couldn't say enough good things about HUM! It is such an inclusive and non-competitive space. The classes and instruction are wonderful, but so is the environment that Emma and KJ have so carefully built. It's a beautiful space to spend a few hours each week. Thank you HUM!

I love this space & community. What a lovely way to be part of something good in the world, while feeling better in your body and supporting a women-owned business!! Love all the touches in their store (from books to tea to other products from women-run businesses) that make this a really healing place to do yoga.

I can't say enough good things about my experience at HUM! From the moment I walk in, I am greeted with warmth and positivity. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, with a peaceful ambiance that immediately puts you at ease.
The instructor owners KJ and Emma are top-notch. They are not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also genuinely care about each student's progress and well-being. Whether you're a beginner or experienced, there's something for everyone here. The classes offer variety of styles and are well-paced, challenging yet accessible, and leave you feeling rejuvenated and empowered. I also love their hot tea, local gifts and thoughtful goodies in their shop, and community events they put on! THANK YOU!

I just moved back to the area and was worried about finding a new studio since the one I used to go to closed. No shade against the chain barre studios, they just aren't my vibe. I am THRILLED to have found Hum. I've taken three classes so far, all with Emma, and once my two week trial is up I will absolutely be purchasing the unlimited month.
The studio space is beautiful, simple, and extremely clean. The people are so welcoming, friendly, and extremely inclusive. There are folks of all sizes, ages, and abilities there, which made my post-partum self feel much more comfortable with my own body and not self conscious about being there.

Hum is an excellent place to practice yoga and barre. The owner instructors, KJ and Emma are pros. They lead classes in a way that makes yoga accessible, easy to follow and flow with. They change up the music, postures and poses which keep classes fresh. Classes including yin, hatha, restorative and barre and they are open every day!
The barre classes are challenging and have helped me gain strength.

Started my yoga journey back in 2015 and bounced around studios for the last several years. I left a studio in Uptown I belonged to for 3 years after moving to NE. After covid hit I never resumed my practice. HUM has invigorated my love for yoga all over again. I’m barely two weeks into my membership but it already feels like a home studio. Both teachers provide a beautiful practice. North and Northeast yogis, this is a wonderful space to start, resume, or continue your yoga journey.
