If you go to open gym and think you will actually get to practice gymnastics, think twice. Very disappointed. You are not allowed on any junior or high beams, no high bars, kids playing soccer on the tumbling floor which is an extreme hazard. Kids running everywhere. They even took the chalk away and told the girls they can’t use it (but you can use the low bars). I would give this less than one star if I could. Definitely not worth $15. Also, no way to sign up for open gym- we waited half hour in a long line to pay. Many other gyms around the twin cities have a much better experience and well worth the money.

My daughter is really enjoying her gymnastics class. She is learning new skills and having fun at the same time. She is always excited to go to IGM for her class.
They offer classes for toddlers in a smaller area. Once children are five or older they offer beginner classes in the main gym. The levels go up through level 10 for artistic gymnastics. They also offer classes for rhythmic gymnastics as well. They always do a warm up and rotate practicing skills for the beam, bars, floor and vault. Sometimes they get to have fun on the trampoline, yet not each time. She was given a poster to keep track of which skills she has mastered by adding stickers.

Open gym for my 6 year old was super fun! Even with a million kids he got to do what he wanted and there were people walking around to make sure they were following the rules.

The free trial was awesome, everyone was very kind and the class itself was great. Only downside is it’s a little pricey.

Great energy outlet for a cold MN winter day when most places are closed for the holiday (MLK, President's Day). Lots of variety -- foam pit, bounce house, balance beams, bars, trampolines, and other equipment. Rates are reasonable ($15 for two hours + $10 for additional siblings). We'll come back for the next Open Gym event!

It’s a nice place, but paid $10 to have a coaches kid follow my son around during open gym, blocking him from doing things and telling him he wasn’t allowed to do things that were allowed. Really liked the gym just was really frustrating and felt like a waste of money.

My daughter has been attending IGM for 10 years now. She started as a level 3, she is now a 3rd year level 10. She has two state titles and couldn't be happier with her IGM family. The coaches are amazing and know how to push the athletes to their potential while maintaining a fun and more importantly safe environment. I highly recommend!!

IGM is an incredible space for kids to learn and grow. I spent my childhood here and grew up amongst the most incredible coaches and friends.

The gym created a clean and safe space for kids to develop and build confidence. I had the opportunity to travel the world, represent Minnesota and compete for team USA. My biggest accomplishment outside of team USA, was building lifelong friendships and loved ones. Irina is a second mom to me, and I couldn’t have asked for a better childhood past time. Thank you, IGM!

IGM is wonderful, Irina and coaches do a wonderful job coaching the kids to not only be great gymnasts but also great people. We moved away from the Twin Cities a few years ago so our daughter had to switch gyms, but our favorite meets are the meets we get to compete against IGM. We look forward to seeing all the coaches and former teammates and are always welcomed with open arms. That is what IGM is all about!

Both of our daughters started at the original facility in rec. Both entered preteam because of the coaches and the fun! Our youngest daughter is still there and about to compete as a level 9! Ask her on a good day. Ask her on a tough day. Always the same answer. This is my gym and these are my coaches!

Exceeding Expectations

I can't speak highly enough about IGM Gymnastics! From the moment I walked in, the friendly and knowledgeable staff made me feel welcome. Thanks to attentive and caring coaches, I learned a lot about gymnastics during my time there. The facility is equipped with top-notch equipment, ensuring a safe and fun environment for gymnasts of all levels. The coaches are incredibly skilled and dedicated, providing personalized attention to each student. My progress has been remarkable since joining IGM Gymnastics, and my confidence has soared. The positive atmosphere and emphasis on teamwork and discipline are truly commendable. I highly recommend IGM Gymnastics to anyone looking for a fantastic place for themselves or their child to learn and excel in gymnastics.

If you have a neurodivergent child, DO NOT GO HERE! They are not ND friendly! If I could give negative stars, I would. Literally had entitled mother's thinking they could touch my child and he wasn't even doing anything wrong! They do not support creative play. You think "open gym" would mean open play, but you'd be WRONG! You play by their very specific rules that aren't listed anywhere, you're just supposed to know them. They leave no room for learning, just barking directions out at kids from the sidelines.
It looks nothing like the pictures, there's mats and chalk everywhere, just dirty feeling and metal wires bolted to the middle of the floor are huge tripping hazards and dangerous.
Save yourself the money, time, and frustration and go somewhere that's truly open gym play and ND friendly!

I did email you and have not heard back, am I to assume that you will not be refunding the meet fee that was unused and not returned? Business did not respond to a valid BBB complaint and ignored my email after they asked ME to contact them. Beware, they will have their hands out asking for money over and over again. I regret ever sending my kid to this program.

Watched 2 sessions of my 3-1/2 yr old grandchild - so much fun! So proud of his ability to learn and try new things - he was beaming! Super caring teachers - gave great instruction and celebrated each move the kids learned. Lots of individual attention given to each child.

As someone who goes here personally and has been for nine years I love the gym and I love what they teach us but I’m transgender I’m a male but my coach refuses to call me by the correct name or pronouns and keeps saying to everyone how I am a girl (which I am not) it’s not a safe place for those who are in the lgbtq+ community and I will quit if it keeps going on :/

Hi my name is Larry Hawkins my daughter at AZIA has been with IGM for 10 years. she’s a level 10! She has been a 4x state champ, a regional champ, and a level 10 national qualifier. the experience we have had at IGM has been the greatest we have ever had. In our opinion IGM is one of the most successful gym in the nation. Coaches such as Irina (the owner) is a very experienced coach with connections such as her Olympic sister (Nellie Kim)! She is the nicest and most selfless person you would ever meet. Being around IGM I would’ve never thought I would be able to know gymnastics like I do now, watching my daughter and other gymnasts preform i n competition or practice gives me the highest joy that you can have as a parent watching them progress through the levels. Coach Aleksei is an excellent boys team coach as well as his wife Maryna (Girls coach). Heather C the manager loves kids and parents and takes care of everything. I’m so happy and glad that my Wife Suzanne found IGM 10 years ago to register our daughter. IGM IS SO SUCCESSFUL IN THIS GYMNASTICS WORLD. I love everyone there and I hope people will continue to register their children at IGM. PS. My daughter AZIA is on her way to nationals as we are speaking.

We attended a trial class for my little ones, tots & parents. My only complaint is how rough the instructor is with the little ones, my 19 month old cried after hanging on the bar while the instructor swung her roughly. She was very rough with the kids and how she grabbed them so they could grasp the skill..

Overall everyone was nice besides being so rough with my kids I will not enroll my kids there.

My daughter attended their summer camp and had fun, but ended up with COVID along with another girl from camp. She was scheduled for another week, however she couldn't attend due to quarantine. I emailed and they said they would refund my money via check. That was August 18th, it is now November 10th and still nothing! I have emailed several times and the response is the same every time. My daughter wants to go back so bad, but I said we will find another gymnastics gym.

IGM is great. We've been here for about two years now, starting as a supplement to my son's physical therapy, but staying due to the welcoming environment (Heather rocks!), skilled coaches, and the fun events. The camaraderie and strength my son has gained from the experience has been wonderful, and I appreciate the school's flexibility when it comes to classed and scheduling.
Also, I checked out every gymnastics school in the area prior to coming here, and this one was the one that smelled the least like a gym. ;-)

My girls loved that place, but reality is that better do not start gymnastic with IGM. Every time you go higher level price is doubles and kids get dissapointed when you tell them that you can't afford it anymore. Also, look who is coaching: 13-14 years old kids who just finished their 2 yr programm.

Birthday party sucks here.. I wouldn’t have party ever again.. if you want to be harassed for your own money have party here..the worst experience ever.. not organized, cheap plates and forks are given out, you have to hassle with the host to get plates, forks. Kids are on the own, host is cheat-chatting with Parents while kids are bored. besides, they are talking behind your backs..never again.
