Since 2006, we have provided structured programs that take place in a safe, fun, competitive atmosphere that focus on athletic enhancement and personal self-improvement. Participants will be in an environment where they will feel safe trying new skills and movements and achieve long-term success by challenging their current abilities.

Their introductory boot camp classes are fantastic. I feel so much stronger and energetic. The atmosphere and culture are very open and friendly. The trainers are top-notch and very willing to cater to your ability. I can't say enough about their program.

I've been working out here as part of a 14 week program designed for fitness beginners, and loving it. The coaches are *extremely* knowledgeable and supportive. As a CrossFit newbie, I never felt intimidated. I've seen serious fitness gains during my time at IST. As a non gym rat, I highly recommend IST... But I imagine a true gym rat would feel right at home here as well.

Great community and fun atomosphere! Suitable for anyone open to cardio and weightlifting. The coaches can talk through movements if you're new to them and offer alternative exciercieses if they work better for your level of fitness.

I started my first class here a couple of years ago after looking for a spark to keep me interested in maintaining my level of fitness as I age. I found welcoming coaches who greeted me as warmly as though I was a veteran. Coaches who went through all of the movements with me and offered targeted feedback to help correct my form and technique, and the class atmosphere is fantastic. 10/10, would work out here again.

Easy five stars. Seriously awesome workouts with exceptional programming and educated staff that care. Since moving up to the shore and away from my home gym in the cities, I hadnβt found a gym to match the community and challenge I had until trying IST. I was new to CrossFit but not free weight exercises, so the initial walk in was a bit daunting but everything can be scaled to meet you where you are at so you get the most out of each session.

IST is everything you could want from a gym. The community is welcoming and friendly while the coaches are personable, professional, and knowledgeable. I honestly can't imagine what more you would want from a gym. I started training there when I was 16 and they helped turn me into a way better athlete by getting bigger, faster and stronger every summer. I encouraged my mom to try it out and she has made great friends and has been consistently training at IST for YEARS. Mainly because of the community and the coaches. Can't say enough good things about the gym and the staff.

This is the only gym I've ever stuck with. The classes are fun, the coaches offer great advice, and I am seeing lots of progress both in skills and weight loss. I would recommend the bootcamp for beginners to get oriented with lifting weights and form and crossfit classes after. Thanks Alex, Brendan, & Bre for helping me reach my goals!

IST coaches are more knowledgeable and caring than any gym I've been part of, and I've been a member of many. They truly care about your experience and goals with a focus on proper technique and safety. I broke two bones last year and they did a great job appropriately and safely scaling my workouts during my recovery. I'm in the best shape in 30 years thanks to their guidance.

I really appreciate the staff's focus on total fitness! They make sure to take the time to understand each person's bodily limits and then coach them into the appropriate exercises to try to mitigate injury. I have never experienced such a customized exercise program in a group class setting before from any other gym. Thank you IST staff for taking care of my injuries while helping me gain strength and mobility

Dropped in twice while in town for work. Someone got back to me within a reasonable amount of time and got details like the waiver and schedule sorted out when I emailed ahead of time. Coach Alex managed class well, provided clear instruction and direction, and was attentive, checking in several times during class. Members were friendly and welcoming. I took a community class with IST a while back when I was still in ACL surgery recovery mode. The class was incredibly accommodating as were the coaches! I highly recommend a group class to anyone of any skill level that wants to change up their normal routine!

I attended two individual one hour sessions with IST Crossfit. They're very approachable for a beginner like me who's never tried crossfit before. I found the workouts to be as challenging as I wanted them to be and I felt I got alot out of it. There are trainers/professional coaches present who give you feedback on how to properly perform the exercises and cater to your skill level.

I am in my second round of cross-fit, and wow it's pretty cool. The trainers are the best, and no matter your current condition, they can show you that you can do more than you think. The workouts are great and last about an hour, but you are going to get sweaty- trust me!! I love it, and feel better than I have in 20 years. Also had to get smaller pants size really quick!! Love it!

I've always been a big believer in the fact that you can't knock something until you've tried it whether it be camping, lutefisk or cross fit. I've tried it and found it's not for me. I give IST a 5 star review though because the time I was there for the 6 week Bootcamp I found it impressive the knowledge the instructors had, the enthusiasm that was displayed by everyone despite the fact they were being pushed to their absolute edge. And we all know the excitement happens at the edge of your comfort zone - keep up the good work guys!

IST is, by far, the best gym I've ever worked out in. Two of the best parts of the experience are the trainers/coaches, Brendan and Alex. I have been in 3 of the Boot Camps and done some beginning Cross Fit in the last couple of years. I appreciate the way the coaches watch how I am doing a particular exercise to make sure my form is good. They are careful about helping prevent injury while exercising and can adjust the workout if I am dealing with an existing injury. I think anyone could do the Boot Camp!

I was always intimidated to do crossfit thinking I needed to be in shape already to join, but that was not the case at all at IST. They scale everything to your level, the staff is so friendly and motivating, and I just fell in love with the crossfit community here. If you're still unsure about it, you should check out one of their bootcamps (that's how I got started). Unfortunately I have moved otherwise I'd still be going there!
