For the 4yo classes the teachers are teens which is great, but the student to teacher ratio for a group of 4yo kids needs to be more teachers or less kids. Not enough teachers to show each student what to be doing and help them to do it.

What a joke. I took my daughter for a trial class there as we were looking for a gym closer to our house. I got snapped at by who I assumed was the owner, as I looked and walked around the gym politely to see the whole of the facility. Mind you, there were no kids or classes going on at that moment and I took my shoes off etc. Not one β€œhello” received. They must not be looking for new business because no one came to talk to me, introduced theirselves to my daughter and I or the showed me around. The coaches during my daughter’s class were talking amongst themselves and showed no enthusiasm. (There was a younger blonde coach was a bit more involved). After we completed the class, no coach or the owner asked how we found the class etc.
This place should go out of business. I’ll happily continue our gymnastics classes at Mini Hops even though it will be a bit of a drive.

My kid loves going to class here!
If you haven’t done anything like this you may want to know that the instructors are teens. The ones we have had are great!

I absolutely love Laketown! My 5 year old has been doing Gymnastics there for almost 5 years and Parkour for a little over 1. All of her coaches have been amazing, they are so patient and kind with the kids. Heather Kes is amazing with the little ones. They also allow payment plans so I don't have to worry about missing a session due to my budget. I highly recommend Laketown for gymnastics, parkour, or ninja for your kid!!

The teachers for the younger groups are awful. Not a smile or word of encouragement in 8 weeks course. Shouldn’t be involved with children or coaching

We came to an open gym here and really enjoyed it. There were tons of kids but lots of coaches spotting, helping and redirecting kids.

My daughter really enjoys gymnastics here and the fees are much more reasonable than other area gyms.

Update 2/1/19 - The board fired a world class coach for no documented reason! The coaching partner (and spouse) left voluntarily after this firing. The leadership of this gym is a joke. There is no direction or plan for the future of this gym. This not for profit gym refuses to share their financial information with paying members and will not disclose where our money goes.

Long dramatic story story short...forget Laketown! This gym is dying and it should be put out of it's misery. We are moving to Classic Gymnastics in Chanhassen!

We had a very unpleasant experience at this gym due to a certain coach (Selleck). My brother had gone to open gym to practice some gymnastics and stated that this coach was extremely passive aggressive and snarky towards his flips he was practicing. He did not offer any helping advice, but instead just critiqued him in a very negative and unhelpful way. Now I understand people have bad days, but this has happened repeatedly. If you don't like the way someone is doing something either kindly help them (as it is the job of a coach) or don't say anything at all. But to have someone in tears over what a coach said to them about their gymnastics skills at an open gym is completely wrong. Very disappointed.

I take my daughter here for open gym. So I can't vouch for the training/coaches. But it's only $13 for 2 hours which is better pricing than the gym she trains at. They have plenty of equipment to practice on. The only problem we've had has to do with the behavior of some of the other kids which isnt avoidable sometimes.
This gym has a leo shop with great prices!!
I highly suggest checking it out if you have a gymnast or kid who is in to parkour. They also have a parkour training space.
